[Altaria at 50%]

What's going to happen to the baby? Altaria had wondered this since she started turning into a rhino. Would it be born as a half-human, half-rhino or would it be born as an entire human? Or would it just die, disappear forever? She wished she had someone to help her through this, but no. She's alone, as always. She flipped through her book furiously as she lounged around in the rec room. "Hmmph..." she grunted. "At least I don't look as bulgey as I used too." She stared down at her morphed body. She ran her fingers along the tusk on her forehead, and the one on her nose. Usually everyones in the rec room but oh no, the minute I come everyone seems to go. She punched the wall, leaving a hole in it. "Well..." She sighed again. "May aswell go..." An idea flashed into her head. Could she escape the island? No, probably not. The island was surrounded by hundreds of miles of water, so what could a rhino do? Ah well...I had a try... She thought, sitting back down and flippping through her book.

~Christopher: 50%~

------------------------

Despite today's earlier incident in the rec room, Christopher decided to go ahead and pick up the DVD he left behind. He waltzed on in and bent over to grab the DVD case but then noticed a rhino woman reading a book. A little inquisitive, Chris approached her with his ear erected and his tail lowered.

"Hello there," Christopher greeted, raspy growling sounds now backing his voice. "I can't say I've seen you about here before. How do you do? My name's Christopher."

Altaria peered up from her book and put on a soft smile. "Why hello there Christopher. My name is Altaria." She put down her book and then felt a bulge in her pocket. She pulled it out and saw that it was her last packet of T'rae Montraie Chocolates that she had. She opened it up and peered inside as she noticed that there was a note jammed in there. She just closed the box politely and went back to watching Christopher.

Seeing that she was friendly, Chris's tail began to wag a little. Lately he had been allowing more control to his animal side. He was insatiably curious when it came to experimenting with his changes ever since he hit the 50% mark. Christopher wasn't ashamed to admit that a tail was as fun as it really did look.

He extended his clawwed hand to her and asked, "Do you mind if I have a seat?"

When he leaned in, Chris noticed the slight bulge to her stomach. Looking up at Altaria, his eyes expressed an inquisitiveness. That's when he swore he heard something moving or stirring around inside the woman's belly. He pressed his ear closer and listened. A smile formed on Christopher's face. "You're pregnant, aren't you? I can hear your baby."

"Sure" She smiled. "Have a seat." at the mention of her baby her ears perked up a bit, instead of flopping dwn like they always did. "Why yes, I sure am. I'm still worried about what will happen to it though..." She just noticed where she had seen Christopher before. "My! I've seen you before! In the Infirmary!" She laughed a bit and put the bookmark in to her book and popped that and her chocolates down on top of her small bag.

Christopher chuckled a little as he replied, "Heh, yeah. They should really just reserve a room for me at this rate. It seems if I'm not even the one injured, I always end over there somehow."

Chris had a seat, his tail instinctly curling to his side so he didn't crush it. Realizing he was still gripping the DVD case, Christopher set it down on the arm of the couch. He then drew his attention back to Altaria. "I just hope the baby comes out healthy is all. I have a weakness when it comes to kids. I tend to be very protective of them, particularly newborns. Why, I remember when my aunt gave birth to my twin nephews that if no one else was in that room with them, I would be."

Gazing at her book, he asked, "So, what are you reading?"

"Oh." She nodded knowingly. "One of my youngest brothers was like that." She picked up her book and tapped the title. It was just a thin, childrens picture-book but she loved it. "It's about Woolly Rhinocoeros's. I read it as a child aswell. Funny coincdence, huh?"

Trying to surpress laughter, Christopher commented, "Yeah. I've always been a wolf person myself so I'm actually content with my changes. Hopefully you won't find me mental for feeling that way."

Chris decided to step up the conversation as he was really enjoying Altaria's presence. She was very cheery and colorful. However, he couldn't think of anything at first. Eventually he went for whatever came to mind. "So... What did you use to do before you ended up on the island?"

"Yes. I'm actually not to worried about this. It's just my baby that worries me but otherwise it's quite interesting, although in Summer it may get quite hot for me..." she laughed a bit more.

She was surprised, she hadn't heard many people ask that question. "I was an artist, plus I taught biology over in Spain for about a year. But now...I don't think I'll ever get a job here, hey? Good thing we don't have to pay for anything." She let out a howl of laughter but then quietened down.

"Yeah, that's a plus," Christopher agreed. "But it can be so boring without anything to do work wise. I've actually been busy trying to get a film club together with some of my friends. We're preparing to shoot our first video soon. Even though they'll never be seen outside the island, it's still something to do to keep ourselves preoccupied. Plus, film is my passion."

'Ok, that's enough about you,' Christopher's mind was delivering him a scolding as it usually bit when he got self-conscious.

Trying to think of something to talk about, Chris asked, "So, did you have any of your artwork go public, and what was it like to teach in Spain? I heard it's really quite interesting over there. By the way, how far along are you?"
