No way. Tokyo Mew Mew (the origional version) Is nothing like sailor moon. It has a plot. IT has a cute bad guy. It used to have cute names before the american-ized it. What was wrong with the names Ichigo, Mint, Lettuce,(mew mews) Kish, Tart, and Pie(bad guys)?
besides, the mew mew series is relatively short and has a moderately good ending.

I gotta say it isn't... That's kinda like saying that DearS is a ripoff of Chobits... They're their own individual series, but they share a couple similarities... Sailor Moon wasn't the first magical girl team series, and i don't think we're even close to seeing the last...
I don't like how people can compare two individual series like that... It's two different series, two different artistic visions... We could just leave it at that...

I say no since Toyko Mew Mew and Salior Moon books are way different I should know I read them!!! And there very good!!!!! Why did they change the Toyko Mew Mew names any way!!!! There wasn't anything wrong with them.

Most likely no...my reason is the 'Mew Mew Power' deals with animals and human souls, and 'Sailor Moon' deals with saving the universe and also human souls...Besides they are very different series.

Tokyo Mew Mew, Perhaps in a sense, It has the same feel...
But Mew Mew power has a tweaked storyplot of Tokyo Mew Mew... So It's hard to say. I can easily see your point of view. a group of magical girls, the main one with some sort of a love story, and the Bad guy into some sort of a love triangle...
But Different powers, personallitys and a bit of a different storyplot.... So I'd have to say no...
