I wrote this poem for an English class. It's based on JRR Tolkien's characters Beren and Luthien.
Tinuviel's Song
Dancing in the forests bright, Luthien Tinuviel. In sunlight, moonlight and starlight, Luthien Tinuviel.
Wandering and lost, searching in sorrow, Beren son of Barahir. He wanders ever toward the morrow, Beren son of Barahir.
He sees her light that pierces the dark, As she dances in the shining wood. He approaches, her sweet song to hark, As she dances in the shining wood.
Beneath her feet, the flowers spring, As she dances in the forests deep. Beren hearkens as he hears her sing, As she dances in the forests deep.
He seeks to claim her hand as his, Her father keeps her locked away. He scales the wall and steals a kiss, Her father keeps her locked away.
They sneak away in the dead of night, To be elope and to be marriéd. Told not a soul, kept the whole thing tight, To elope and to be marriéd.
But into darkness fell their star Among the vales of the woods. In the forests where the shadows are, Among the vales of the woods.
Now where they dwell, none can say, For they have long since vanishéd. For long ago they passed away, And they have long since vanishéd.

I love it, you're a very good poet! ^_^
I find this funny because my user name for a lot of places is Tinuvielssong, or Tinu. for short. Guess where I got it? =D
*cough* But yes, very pretty.

It's good, and it actually sounds Tolkien-ish. None of the other poems (or songs) I've read about Tolkien's characters actually do this well.
Congratulations smile
