As Seen from Island 2; Photography Is Not Allowed Any CloserAt first glance, Island 3 is nothing more than a forested, unpopulated island that serves no purpose in the overall heirarchy of Seafoam's system. But a more intensive study would reveal the fact that there is always a small naval assault force within stone-throwing distance of the island at all times, and that a functional RSMC base exists on the island, denying any access by all without clearance. A functional anti-teleportation field blankets the island as well, preventing access by any means other than that which the military can dictate. The reason for this subtle, but effective defense is simple: Island 3 houses the primary research and development facilities of Seafoam's military, kept in a bunker deep underground, immune to all but the most concentrated of assaults. It is here where Seafoam's deadliest and most cutting-edge secret projects are constructed and kept until unleashed upon her enemies.

The NATC was basically a part of the beach with Concrete slabs on top the normally sandy shore. This was the tank obstacle course of the island, and where the tree met open beach, the rumbling of diesel engines could be heard.
"YEEEEEE-HAWWWWW"
A Jungle Leopard jumped over the small obstacle hill seperating jungle course and beach. Upon landing, it fired, the gunner got the target, an old yacht anchored off shore. The Canister shot riddled it with holes. Shotgun on crack anyone?
The originator of the loud yell was none other than General Todoka. He climbed from the Driver's compartment, laughing with and congratulating the crew for a superb test. He then ordered the driver, which was in the commander's hatch, to start driving.
Once all were safely in their places, Quinn ordered the driver to go as fast as he can. Sand flew up as the treads dug on the sand. The treads were a bit wider, spreading the weight on the sand. As the water neared the beach, the tank turned right into it. Water went up, as the Leopard went deeper. It then hit the concrete slabs, and it was assureed of much better footing. The tank was now up to it's turret, and a 2.5 meter snorkel and periscope was deployed. Water reached the top of the turret, and in five more seconds, the tank was fully submerged.

Theoreticlaly, as long as there was a chute deployed, the tank could go as deep as the chut can take it. But unfortunately, the limitation was the snorkel for the engine. But then, that was enough. The Tank resurfaced, and once the turret was up, the commander's hatch opened. Going parallel to the shoreline, the tank's turret created an odd wake, as it turned to its side.
Quinn was looking through binoculars, at a second yacht.
"Kanister, Schnell! Strecke ist 50 Meter. Luftwiderstandsverlust, vier Kilometer." Quinn said, with a smirk. He had poor German. But then, this was a joke, decided when the tank and crew were underwater.
"Entfernen Sie Abdeckung!" He yelled, as the gunner pressed a button. The cover was removed via a mechanism, and the cannon was fixed to aim at the yacht.
"Feuer!" He yelled, as the cannon fired, riddling the other empty boat with holes.
"Zurück zu dem Strand. Schnell. Und Antrieb zurück in den Dschungel." He said, as the tank moved back to shore. Dripping, and with sand flying, they entered the jungle again.

Radiance and Divinity circle Island 3 with Project K onboard. Radiance is where Sam sent Kiro and the weapon's systems. Divinity, on the otherhand, is where recovered component for Project K rests, deep within the research facility built right into the Garden. Of course, such information is Top Secret. Only General Ganale and a handful of others even know about it. Of course, Sam has an open comn link to Shelke in Radiance. The girl is, afterall, like a daughter to Sam.
As she walks along the table the 'frame' is rested on, Sam runs her right hand over the fine craftsmanship. This is a feat her research into bionics could pay off on in. This is a feat her research into helping Shekle could pay off...and, most importantly, grow. Funny how General Ganale had also asked for a MES. It was already one of her pet projects. The XF-101y is the experimental phase of that. As she's pondering what to do, she looks down to see Dra-Ra and Tsura curled up, next to each other, and fast asleep. That brings her a smile.
"Well now!" She exclaims exuberantly to herself as she sets her laptop, PDA, and various other components on the patch-work diagnosis table. "Let's get to decompiling that OS!" She smiles as her fingers blur over the keys and something more akin to a Matrix motif rushes across her screen than anything else. Her eyes easily skim the data as she begins making compression logs and decryption tools, both with her PDA and astute mind.

arrow Officers' Quarters, Radiance Garden; Hovering Over Island 3
Extracting a datapad from her integrated computer system, Shelke crossed the room she had been assigned and flopped onto the bed. As one would expect, the furnishings were fairly spartan and militaristic in nature, but they managed to serve their purpose.
Sitting back against the wall, she activated the datapad and brought up the visual and sensor images she had downloaded onto it. There were two images, both differing angles of Mistress Yumiko, recorded by security cameras on Island 4 shortly before they had been destroyed. The images showed a very visible change to her appearance at the same time the EDS sensors had recorded the sudden spike of Wind Elemental power.
She frowned slightly, mulling over the data. She had even gone so far as to pull up the recorded prophecies that Sabrina had discovered in the days before the Dark Pokemon Wars that had foretold the coming of the Masters.
So then, that begged the question: Was this new level of power simply the natural evolution of the Masters? A sort of 'last hurrah' before the world absorbed and phased out their power? Or could this be the next step? Was humanity progressing toward godhood?
"It's just something... that we'll have to observe..."

Possibly out of human instinct, Sam looks over to the open comn as Shekle speaks up. She sighs and shakes her head as she guesses what she's doing....again. "You're going to get wrinkles if you keep worrying." Sam has to chuckle as she starts skimming specific lines of data code. "That was an interesting day, though." Three ascents in power? What was all that about? She knows, however, that she can't think too much on that. It's this OS's coding that has caught her interest. She can't help but whisper... "What in the world?"

Closing down the data programs that had been recorded on that day, she set the datapad aside and picked up another one, this one continually updating with the information and decryption data from Sam's work.
"That...is some heavy-duty encryption."
It was the understatement of the year.

Sam wears a small smile. "Yeah..." She pauses as she just continues skimming the same line of code. Picking up her PDA, she begins setting up routines. She doesn't know if she's decifering this correctly. "...but I've got the jist of the encryption down." The decryption won't take her as long as she thought. The OS is coming apart pretty easily, but the black-box is still being processed. Sam takes a moment to point at the touch-screen on her laptop, which would highlight the line for Shelke. "It's this line that interests me. It looks like a connection between the OS and black-box... It's like an 'interupt' algorithm." More than that, though. If Sam suspects correctly... No. She shakes her head. Assumptions will get them nowhere.

::Jungle Course::
The Leopard 2A6 was performing well. It was muddied up, as the turret transversed 45 degrees, while the hull did a 90 degree turn with mud flying. The gunner fired, and the rusting hulk of a T-90 exploded yet again. The enxt target was already seen, as the loader loaded another shell, and the gun transversed to have the gunner aim for it. A small hill.
"Fire!" Quinn yelled. The Tank did what they wanted, it fired as the jump was still in the air. The gunner dind't miss. The enw software was working fine. There were observation cameras everywhere, and undoubtedly this footage of the Tank firing while in mid air would make its way to the next recruiting video.

Shelke sat up on her bunk, folding her legs underneath her and tilting her head to one side as she stared at the screen. Black boxes were to be expected, as were connections between them and the OS they served. But this?
"This definitely isn't a code line you'd expect to see in any military operating system. To supercede all protocol and rules of engagement to ensure a specific objective?"

Sam nods. "That's exactly what I was thinking." She rubs her chin as she begins reading the code around it. "It's too deeply embedded into the OS. I can't remove it without causing a headache of a corruption." As she looks at the data encryption more and more, she has another thought. There's a ninety-eight percent chance that removing the interupt algorithm will cause Project K to go berserk. Not a good thing. She shakes her head. "I'll just have to rewrite it...once I get the black-box deciphered."

"That sounds like the best plan of action."
She got up and crossed the room again, returning to her personal terminal and linking the datapad to it. Much easier to work from a full terminal than a little pad, after all. Once linked in, she began to sort her way through the piles upon piles of data.
"You could also theoretically buffer the code line with other, nonfunctional code lines to isolate it and prevent its functioning. Your method is likely the easier one, though."

Sam laughs. "That'll depend on what data we get from the black-box. The encryption is much heavier there, so that'll take a while to get into." Heaving a sigh, she leaves a notation to come back to that line of code. Depending on what they find in the black-box, she already has at least two plans of action to adress it. She likes her idea as a primary resort as, well, Shelke said it perfectly. It would be easier. "In anycase, I can't stay on that line for long. I've got to work on making the rest of the OS compatible with Seafoam systems."

::Jungle Course::
The Leopard landed on it's left side treads first, then it's right. The next was to be a zig zag area. Basically, the tank will be turning left and right, and avoiding large trees that can make everyone hit their heads on the front. The Driver was good. Another hill, and the course started. Left.....right....left again....and the tank fired. Right on the mark with an old russian chopper. They were nearing the goal.

The more Sam looks at that OS; the more she wonders about back-hacking it and just giving up on some of the code. There are some pieces that are severely fragmented, and it looks like there's a control routine to ensure that Project K, whatever 'it' was before, cannot operate without that line of code she spotted earlier. Furrowing her brow, she rubs the bridge of her nose. As she looks over at Project K, she notices her email box, on her main computer, is blinking. Curious, she opens it and begins reading a few messages. Shaking her head, Sam can only chuckle. It seems she missed a beach party.
Shrugging, she walks over to Project K and runs a hand over 'it'. She is curious where all that damage came from, but she's certain she can repair it. The OS is, surprisingly, well intact. That's going to save some time. She only hopes the decryption program she has running on her experiment "who cares if it blows up" computer. Sam's favorite expression right now seems to be shaking her head and sighing. This project is interesting, but there are so many...questions that just seem to have no answers. Looking down at Project K, she has only one thing to say aloud to 'it'. "So... Resting peacefully?" She has a small smirk on her face, especially as she hears Tsura mew.
