The elderly gentleman, in his sixties, strolled across his garden with a grace a lightness of step unfitting a man of his years. This garden, decrepit and malnourished, awash with tides of wilderness and puntuated by the occasional insectogenocide that the old man seemed to relish inflicting, had been his castle and last stronghold for the past fifteen years.

His name was Ennio Commadare, and he had enjoyed his life. His official papers read that he had been a good, average student in his youth, from a little known town not too distantly removed from Cosmo Canyon. He had joined the family trade at sixteen, becoming a mechanic while he finished his education. He went on to study biochemistry and had an uneventful career researching medicines for ShinRa inc. Before retiring to his little house and garden in Kalm.

His official papers were falsified. His name was not even Ennio Commadare, and his secrets would make the skin of even the hardiest warriors crawl with sickening disgust.

His long, dark hair had silvered in touches, and he never slouched. His posture was perfect; regal, even. He had nothing but pride for a history that would drive most to suicide. His only regret was that it all had to end.
~
No... He didn't so much stroll across his garden as he stalked across it. A predator with glaring, murderous blue eyes that relished human pain.
~
But you would only see that killer intent if you looked for it, hard. To the average passerby he was the polite, easy-to-speak-to friendly gentleman who was just a little too old to keep his garden from becoming overgrown.

Someone walked by his garden fence, a pretty girl with a summer skirt, long brunette hair and chocolate eyes. She waved and smiled.
~
"Afternoon, Mr. Commadare!" She said, spritely. The old man was harmless and endearing, not a lech like some of those from MidGar. Everyone liked Ennio Commadare.

"Afternoon, Miss Patin," he replied, with a slight bow. She smiled, flattered. "Or should I say, Mrs. Yasim?"

"Ohh, you heard!" She answered, her smile widening, excitedly. "Yes, he proposed just the other night!"
~
"You come by and tell me all about it, soon," he said. It was a command, an order, but he said it so gently and with such good intent, it was irresistible.
~
"Oh, I will. Are you free this afternoon?" She asked.
~
"I am free always," he told her. "An old man like me, always grateful of the company."
~
She smiled reassuringly and walked away with a wave.
~
Ennio returned to stalking his garden.

as the girl was walking off a young man about 17 came tolling along and was glancing behind him as if expecting someone to be watching or following him as he was glancing back he seen something shiney on the ground he picks it up and stares at it intensley for sometime it was a pendant with the initials of E B C on it he pondered on those initials for a lengthy time when he noticed tht staring over his shoulder was tht gardner and instantly the boy jerked himself aside of the gardner and put the pendant in his pocket. the old gardner asked the boy what tht was he was looking at,with a snotty tone the boy answered in reply "it aint none of your buisiness old man" the old gardner quickly became disgruntled and took a leap at the boy with his garden spade the boy moved to his left quickly and drew a sword tht seemed to have come out of thin air and pointed it to the gardners face, the old man said hesitantly "i didnt mean to snap, you see im old and at the end of my wits i actually have no idea what just happened." the young boy nodded and began wealking off. as he walked off the old man yelled after him "hold up i never got your name." the boy said "my name? my name is uchigo,uchigo sagunake." the old man replied "well uchigo sagunake i am ennio,and its been a pleasure meeting you, where did u get tht sword come from tht u pulled out?" uchigo replied "i used the life streams powers to summon the sword." uchigo walked off

suddenly a pack of crimson hound monsters appeared arounde him looking viciously at him them one of them jumped up attempting to attack himso quickly he pulled out one of his swords and slashed the creature causing it to fall and tumbe along the ground. This caused the rest of them attacked all at once so he stood up on the seat of his moped putting one foot on the handlebar to keep it stable then pulled out his second sword he maneged to repel most of them but one ended up on his back biteing his shoulder and since he couldnt do much damage to it with his sword without hurting himself, plus he thought it would be cool, he jumped off the moped and slamed the monster into the ground making it let go so he quickly turned and finished it off then looked in time to see his moped go straight up off a ramp like rock and come back down smashing into the ground, and when he went to see what the damage was there were only a few scratches and the tire poped(I'm so glad I but the steel plating on it for things like this)he thought then

The day was uneventful. sunlight falling everywhere, butterflies fluttering, and birds singing filled the landscape outside of MidGar.
The man snorted with disgust. 'Night is much better.' he smiled to himself as he thought this. He was known simply as the sin that plagued his life, Envy. His background a mystery to him and those around him, all he could remember was a fire and a calling for the night to aid his shooting skills, which for someone with no training were remarkable.
He turned and went back into town, his black leather jacket fluttering in an unfelt breeze behind him. Opening the gate and straighting his black ballcap over his dark green hair so no one would notice those or his piercing yellow eyes, he went back to the bar by the strange gardener.

As he ran towards the dark city, he recalled seeing the old man walking pass the young woman that day..but he couldnt let his mind wander...but then he realized who the man was!he was the man that the ex-soldier had to find! the man who was wanted by the bounty hunting agency known as Slit. He saw a poster in Kalm a week before. He thought about where he saw the man again...oh yes! the garden and that girl! She must know about him. He decided that after his job was over, he would find the girl and get some answers. As the thought of the battle soon to be fought came back into mind, the ex-Soldier's geostigma seared up his arm. He cursed silently and turned back. He couldnt fight.

Sara Hysaro wandered about Kalm until evening. It seemed as though someone was looking at her strangly, but it seemed as if everyone else was too. Her feet started to hurt and she sat down besides a building.

"Hello?"

Sara jumped to her feet at the sound of a voice. An elderly man was standing close by. The elder asked, "May I ask what is your name?"

Sara replied, "Sara Hysaro. What's yours?"

The elder replied, "Ennio Commadare."
