It had been a week since he had come upon the ghostly female Masuka. Since then, he hadn't been able to get her out of his head. It was a strange feeling, this knot in his stomach. It came around every time he started thinking about her, every time he remembered the grace and beauty that was her. He thought he knew the cause, but he couldn't be sure. What if it was just some random butterflies that meant nothing? Besides, she probably didn't feel the same...

The heir of the Kusini lands shook out his mane, his little nap having messed it up and put it all in disarray. Once he thought it wasn't so messy, he rose to his paws and looked around. It seemed that he was still alone.

Feeling as if he should at least do something a little productive today, Tamu stretched out his limbs then proceeded to walk over towards the nearest watering hole. He figured that he would get a drink and then make his rounds about the lands. Nothing would probably be up, but he really didn't have anything better to do.

Moving rather slowly, he moved towards the watering hole. It wasn't too far away, if his memory served him well. It wouldn't take him too long to get there...

Masuka had been keeping quiet for her first week in the pridal lands, primarily because she hadn't come across Asi or Ari as yet and wasn't even sure wether she had permission proper to be here. She just reassured herself that at least she had Tamu's name that she could bring up if asked anything about who had let her into the lands.

On the subject of Tamu, she hadn't been able to shake the male out of her thoughts of late, there had been something about him, something that held her attention unwaveringly. He was troubled, something that made her want to protect him and at the same time, was warm like a summer night, his personality making her forget her solitude in the past, reminding her what a smile was.

The longer she was away from him, the more she found herself thinking about him, something that was terribly unusual for her.

Today she sat cautiously beside the waterhole the two had sat beside before, keeping an eye out for any other lions who might want her out of their way, her gaze on the clear water in front of her. Despite her caution she was happy here, her trail-worn paws glad of the rest she'd gained here. Even her skinny, rangy body had begun to fill out with the spoils of good hunting, graceful feminine curves returning to her, her fur more white and shiny than it had been in a good year or so.

The heir to the Kusini lands continued on slowly, deep in thought. His paws passed over the ground in a rhythmic manner, his eyes blindly watching them move along. Why couldn't he get that female out of his mind? It was true, she intrigued him and fascinated him like no other, but what did it all mean?

Passing along, a new scent suddenly came to him. Well, it wasn't completely new--he had smelled it before--but it definitely hadn't been there before. Blinking, he glanced up and stopped in his movement. There, sitting and looking rather beautiful, was the lioness that made his stomach flutter and his heart race. He noticed that she seemed a bit cautious, but he payed almost no attention to that. Instead, he wondered over her beauty and her graceful figure.

Purring to himself, Tamu padded forward, closer to Masuka. He moved in from a direction where she could see him so that he didn't startle her or anything.

"Mind if I join you?" he asked softly, a slight purr still rumbling in his throat. He hoped that he wasn't intruding or anything and that she didn't mind his company..

Masuka stretched decadently, rolling onto her back, feeling comfortable and safe here. She felt young, as if she'd just as she noticed Tamu's scent on the wind. She looked up in the direction that he was arriving from and smiled warmly, more gladdened than she could have guessed she'd be at his arrival. She curled her tail, her eyes twinkling mischeviously.

"Of course I don't mind, I insist"

A great big smile crawled across Tamu's face as the female said that she insisted on him joining her. His heart fluttered slightly in his chest, and his tail flicked in slight amusement at it. He didn't know why, but he really enjoyed her company.

Grumbling happily, he walked over towards her then sank down to his belly, his large mane falling easily over his shoulders and parts of his face. Flicking his tail to curl around him, he smiled over at the female.

"So what's a pretty lady like you doing out here all alone?" he asked, half truly curious yet also toying with her a bit.
