99th Fallen

PostPosted: Sat Sep 16, 2006 4:20 pm

Walking out the Gates of Ria you come up to the Ancient Forest. Walking about twenty steps in you find yourself at a small creek. Following the creek is not a easy journey though as you may find out or already know. About ten minutes from following it you head the roaring noise of water. Continuing the way of the creek it leads you to a small river flowing into a small waterfall. Peering down from the small, fourty five-foot waterfall, you are graced with the sight of...

.Berias Temple.

The Overview is...

As you look down from one side of the waterfall you notice the waterfall is in the shape of a half a circle, surronding one whole side of the temple. It all runs down into a large lake which the temple sits apon. It's surronded by trees and plants of all sorts, wildlife is also frequently seen in the area. It you look closely at the end of the waterfall you will see a small platform, nine by nine in measurement. it's purpose is unclear but maybe that shining something in the center will lead you to a clue.

As you make your way down the rough hills at the sides of the waterfall you'll begin to feel slightly light-headed. Reaching the same level as the lake and the temple you'll often feel a wave of energy wash thorugh you. The temple is sacred and send out energy to repel evil spirits. Though it works for most evil spirits, some can get by the barrier.

You enter the temple at the south end of the lake. You approch a old, stone build tunnel that stays afloat among the water. Holes lay in the floor of the tunnel revealing the almost clear water underneath it. Making your way halfway down you'll notice a large opening on the right. It leads down to a small dock with two boats next to it to row around the lake. Finally you make it to the Fountain Room.

The Fountain Room...

The Fountian Room is the major room in the whole temple. In the Cneter of the large room sits a large fountain. It's connected to the whole lake as the water, from the lake, shoots out from six different points on the circular fountain. In the center of the fountain sits a statue of six wolves all surronding a spear. In two of the four wolves mouthes sits two glowing orbs.

Looking up you'll be graced with the appearence of swirling lights. The lights are all spirits gathered to the temple do to it being a spiritual "hot zone". This is more than likely the best place to meet spirits and use spiritual powers.

Now looking ahead of you, past the fountain are stairs. They go up a great length and lead to the Sanctuary. To the west of the room lies bedrooms, not much but still good enough to stay in if needed. In the east wing lay many things, maybe even a few secrets.

The West Wing

The west wing is a simple wing at that. it's a decent sized halway with two orbs on the right and left as you first enter it. To your right sits four rooms. Each being a bedroom. Each bedroom is a decent sized space. It comes with a futon in each and a small fire-pit.In the corner of each sits a small water whole for fishing, hand washing or anything else. Easily decoraitable!

At the very end of the wing though are two different things. At the very end sits a stairwlel leading to the upper level. The upperlevel has four more bedrooms, made almost exactly accept for the small waterholes. leading out of the upstairs halway takes you to a garden .. on the roof. Odd, maybe, but still. It's filled with herbs, plants and flowers galore so feel free to relax up there.

On the wall, before the stairwell are three odd holes. Maybe there's a secret meaning behind them?

Rivera opened her eyes to find herself in a place she has never seen before. The first thing she tried to do was to sit up. A sharp stabbing pain near her diaphram reminded her that she was still wounded. Her bandages had been wrapped clumsily and was soaked through by now. Sitting up a little more carefully this time, she realized that she was lying on a bed... it was a bed a little simpler than her own, but quite adequate. Rivera sharpened her sight with her dragon's eye to see in the darkness... It appeared to be a bedroom... and the door was locked. She could tell because her eye saw a sealing spell on the door. The entire room was warded in a little dimensional area... That meant only one thing... she was broken off from everyone else. Someone took her here to isolate her. This bedroom was probably going to be used as a sensory deprivation chamber...

"Kira... Where are you...?"

Rin stared at him, blinking once and then rolling her eyes slightly. She too was reminded of a docter about to perform an operation, or stab you with a needle, but she didn't say anything aloud. Instead she just waited, staring blankly at his tentacle as he set it upon her shoulder. She murmured a small "humph" when asked if she was ready, and a second later her vision was filled with colorful smoke. She shut her eyes and stood perfectly still, not exactly sure how it worked. But a few seconds later she looked around again, brushing a piece of hair absently behind one ear as she did. She saw the temple now, looming up above them. There was a lake, and a waterfall... She stared at it all, taking it in quickly, and then faced Razzer once more. She had also noted the stone bridge seemingly floating atop the water. It was a little... unnerving.

They rematerialised at the entrance to the temple. Razzer took his tentacle off her shoulder and returned the gaze she had upon him.

"Still in one piece?" he asked jokingly, before looking up at the temple. It was a magnificent piece of architecture - it must have taken many people many years to make it. A wonder that it wasn't discovered before...

The temple was surrounded by lots of flora and fauna, and the distant sound of forest creatures could be heard over the gentle roar of the waterfall nearby.

"Shall we enter?" he asked Rin softly, not taking his eyes off the beautiful sights.

Rin stared at him, frowning again, but gave a short nod as he asked about her. He seemed to be joking, but she wasn't very amused... She looked back toward the temple now as well, still eying the floating stone bridge distrustfully. How the hell was it staying afloat? But when Razzer questioned her about entering, she only hesitated a moment before nodding again. "Sure," she mumbled simply, taking a small step forward before stopping again. She really wasnt too enthusiastic about entering. Now that she saw it, it did seem like she'd be able to get lost while inside.

Rin looked uncertain about crossing the magically floating bridge. Razzer smiled behind her back. So you do have emotions other than anger. he thought. As if to prove that he wasn't going to bunny out, Razzer bravely stepped past Rin onto the bridge. Besides, if the bridge gave way he'd land in the water, and that was fine with him. His gills allowed him to breathe underwater, so he wasn't in any danger of drowning. He crossed the bridge easily and, once on the other side, turned to face Rin. The half-squid man said nothing, but smiled. Though the bridge swayed slightly in the water, it felt comfortably sturdy. It was sturdy enough to support his weight, anyways.

The Temple was looming over him now, both menacing and beautiful at the same time. It was a sort of beauty that made even the toughest, coldest people feel at least a tinge of warmth at its very sight. Razzer was sure that Rin felt warm and fuzzy deep down inside, though she'd never admit it. While he waited for her to cross the stone bridge as well, the mage looked up at the towering temple and quietly respected its beauty.

Rin's eyes flicked towards Razzer again as he stepped forward onto the bridge. She actually braced herself for him to sink, but blinked a couple times as it held firm. She stared for a moment, her eyes slightly widened, and then sighed quietly. Ok... she thought to herself, took a breath, and then slowly started walking forward. She wasn't one to like being wet, so this wasn't something she wanted to try out. But she refused to back out either, so she gently set one boot down on the bridge. She tapped it, and when it just moved slightly instead of sinking, she allowed herself to move forward. She froze, waited a second, and then walked the remaining distance rather quickly.

Then she paused again, coming to a halt behind Razzer as she gazed around a bit more, trying to take everything in. Already she was sensing spirits around, but none seemed to be that powerful. She was guessing they'd need a somewhat strong one to do what Razzer wanted, though that may not have been the case. She sort of wished she could tell one's power insantly, but it always took a little effort.

Razzer entered the Temple and was taken aback. The inside of the temple was even more breathtakingly amazing than the outside - as hard as it was to believe. Now that he and Rin had made it to the temple, there was little else for him to do. He found a nearby bench and sat down.

"I'll leave you to your devices, Miss Rin." he said, taking a page from Kayato's book and speaking as politely to her as he could muster. The spiritual energy at the temple was so strong, even someone who couldn't communicate with or channel spirits could feel it all around them. Razzer basked in this holy energy, taking it in. He knew that there were probably spirits all around him. Talking, whispering, going about their deceased business. Razzer couldn't see them of course, but he knew they were there.

Rin paused, eyes darting between a few spirits as they drifted past, and then settling upon Razzer for a moment. So he was just going to sit there while she did all the work? Then again, he couldn't really do anything... She frowned to herself and took a few steps further int othe area, glaring around at the spirits surrounding her. Some gave her odd stares, as if surprised that she was looking at them. One male even began waving his hand in front of her face, and Rin grunted as she slapped it away. Her hand went right through his, of course, but the message when through and he was instantly alerted that he could be seen. The male smirked, standing on transparent legs in front of her, just watching silently. Rin glared back at him, and then shook her head in agitation before speaking. "Do you know of anyone around here who can turn him back into a human?" she muttered, waving a hand towards Razzer. The male ghost stared, shrugged, and disappeared through the nearest wall with a small laugh, leaving Rin to stare furiously after him.

Kira walked through the dimensional rift with Koishi in hand, holding the blade firmly as he glanced around. He was in a temple of some sort. He was still in the same black shirt and blue jeans he had been in the dorm after forging Koishi with Rivera as he walked throgh a door. He brushed a few strands of black hair from his eyes and looked around, he was in a hallway. He went through the hall, finding only one locked door. He could sense Rivera's aura behind it and noticed a sealing spell. "Rivera? Are you in there?" He called out, knowing the answer but unsure if she knew of his presence.

Rivera thought that she had heard Kira's voice. How long has it been? Six... seven hours? Eight? Her perception of time had been thrown off completely now. In this room that had no light but the radiance of her eyes, she could see almost nothing, tell almost nothing without the light of magic. Laying still on the bed, she listened harder for footsteps, miniscule scratching... anything to tell her that Kira was actually there. She couldn't sense auras through the seal on the room, but perhaps he could sense her... maybe Koishi could? Who knows... Dominus weapons are full of surprises, like she was, actually. Nobody really knows how many special abilities a Dominus weapons has.

Kira started shoulder charging against the door without thinking. He couldn't hear the light humming in the air, nor see the steel feathers that were littering the floor. As he reached five minutes of hitting against the door he felt his shoulder start to go numb, then not even move at all. "Dammit..." He muttered angrilly looking down at his left hand, then noticing all the steel feathers. "What the?" The next thing he knew the feathers formed an eight point star array on the seal and Koishi thrust into it. He saw the seal crack, then shatter, as well as the door which was unbelievably frail without the seal. He took Koishi back in hand and rushed into the room. "Rivera? Are you alright?" He asked quickly, wondering if she was hurt.

Rivera sat up when banging sounded on the door... She stood up on the farther side of the bed, holding the slightly bleeding spot between her ribs and under her heart. She knew that she would be safest further away from the door if it broke down or something... Maybe her kidnapper was dumb enough to forget how to unlock his own seal... that would be stupid. When Koishi's humming suddenly penetrated the door, Rivera sensed the part of Kira that was in the sword... so he was really here.

"Kira..." She shielded her eyes. Even the smallest amount of light was unbearable to her now after her short stay in a room without senses at all. "Where the hell am I and how did I get here?"
PostPosted: Thu Sep 21, 2006 7:05 pm

"I don't know how you got here... All I know is it's some place called the 'Berias Temple'..." Kira said quietly. "But more importantly, are you hurt?" He asked looking at her, finally noticing the bloody spot between her ribs. "Rivera... How bad is it?" He asked. He knew if it were a flesh wound she'd be alright, but he was unsure of the severity. Was it deep in her body? So deep she wouldn't be able to walk? He hoped not. He would love to carry Rivera anytime, but not when she was hurt. Besides, his left arm was useless at the moment anyway. He quickly put Koishi back to his back and waited for Rivera to respond.

He could almost feel the spirits passing through him. Almost. The temple just oozed of spiritual energy. Even Razzer, who wasn't the warmest individual, nor the most spiritual, felt affected. It was almost naseating. Hopefully Rin would find a suitable spirit soon... that way he could get out of the temple before it actually made him a slightly nicer person.

Rin randomly slapped in front of her. A fly? A spirit fly? Razzer supressed a chuckle. She muttered something and gestured in his general direction. Obviously the spirit she was talking to wasn't one that could help him, as she began a furious staring contest with the wall.

Wonder who'll win? Razzer thought amusedly.
