Hey guys I just got a message from someone demanding my password and threatening to ban me if i did not comply. I may not be back for a while. If I do come back it may be under a different name.
This is the name of the person who was hurassing me: [MLSM] Ban Member Manager
This person has sent me repeated mails accusing me of hacking other accounts and demanding my password to check my trade logs. I did not give away my password and have no intention of doing so. I have contacted admin to help me sort out the problem. He just sent me a mail saying my account has been banned so I might not be back with this account.
I just gave almost all of my gold to my friend to hold onto and donated about 1100 gold to the guild.
I hope to talk to you guys soon.

Anything properly affiliated with Gaia will never demand your password. No admins or moderators or anything will ask you. Even if they think you're hacking or harassing someone.
Chances are it's a scam.
Who was it that said you were banned? Was it [MLSM] Ban Member Manager?

I contacted admin and im just waiting for a reply. Oh yeah, I didn't give him my password and I still have no intention of doing so. Everyone should spread the word about [MLSM] Ban Member Manager and warn others about him/her. Whoever it is im gonna fight with them through admin and try and keep my account safe.

hacking is getting out of control....half of my friends in real life have had their accounts banned on gaia for hacking....i know a few did, but others were totally innocent...That's why i never really talked to them on gaia..i'm had this account for a year and a half and i'm not losing it for something stupid like that

I've seen hacking waves before, and laugh when I get a message.
"all your account belong to hacking! send passowrd!"
Ha ha ha! Stupid n00b! Like I'm gonna fall for that. rofl I've been here for over 3 years. Trust me, if there's a legitimate problem, you'll have no doubt that Gaia is contacting you. What's sad is that hacking is so pointless. You get banned, any account you traded stuff to gets banned, I've even seen people get banned for buying a hacked item in the exchange not knowing it was a hacked item. eek The ban hammer is far reaching.

I think there should be a way to differentiate the innocent ones from the guilty.

systematic_chaos I think there should be a way to differentiate the innocent ones from the guilty. I do recall some of the ones who bought the hacked item not knowing it was hacked getting their accounts back. But I think the banning is standard practice, if only to freeze trading and give Gaia a chance to sort the mess out.
