I know I do, and I can guess that I'm not alone.
The world is constantly pushing us down so that they can feel better.
But there is a simple answer to this.
We needn't feel like this any longer.
"You are my work of art individualy created by me for a purpose"
Ephesians 2:10
A verse i read in a book called Soul Sista last year.
I've never felt useless again, and when I have, I turn to this verse.
A purpose has been put back into my life, and I am living to seek my purpose, for I now know there is one.

Right now actually I feel kinda lost. Not so much spiritually as I was (I'm kinda neutral spiritually I guess) but I mean as a person. I feel like I don't belong here, or with the people I'm with, doing what I'm doing, just plain being here. I don't feel right. The only place I've ever felt right is home and I can't go back all summer. Like...example: I was at the mall today. And just in the middle of walking down to browse, debating which shop I wanted to go into I felt like I shouldn't be doing this. I shouldn't be there. I don't belong there. All these people have lives and I don't. I don't know what's wrong with me. I know it's not good (or Christian) to feel like this.

It's not your fault to be feeling like this. Most everyone has, and it's not you, it is the enemy trying to steal away your hapiness. There is nothing he would like more, than to make you feel worthless or alone. Don't give him that chance! the bible says that if you can be bought at any price, you will be. meaning that any temptation you might have, the devil knows it, and he will rub that in your face as much as he can. Such as, try and make you fall into that temptation, make you feel like you are a bad person because of that temptation, or make you feel WORTHLESS. God doesn't want that for you, which is why there are verses in the bible that will help you. And constant communication with God, and less space for the devil to squeeze himself into.

Our purpose is to worship God. That is the basic purpose. However, that translates into many things. Anything from washing dishes to leading worship. It's all about where your gifts are, the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

You just have to be patient, talk to God about it and wait for a reply, take comfort knowing there is a purpose and one day although as Paulkee says, our purpose is to worship God, you will find what it personally means to you.

As individuals we often feel out of place and time. But in the body of Christ everyone belongs. I often feel out of place. But I am wierd that way. Being Christian will naturaly set you apart due to the fact that more and more people are saying bag it to religion, partly out of guilt and partly out of a want to do whatever pleases them most. I have found that being different with others like you can be better then going with the crowd just for the sake of fitting in.

Hey I felt like absolutely nothing yesterday. Like all that I was, was just useless and hopeless and who was I anywayz. But the things that helped me was I wrote it down. I wrote it all down no matter how bad it was, just laying it before God, and then I cried on my best friend's knee. So I guess that just telling God exactly what you are feeling, no matter how horrible is the best thing to do, and then to go to a friend. That's why we have friends, to hold each other up, to comfort when the other person is needing it. heart biggrin wink
