Okay, I really want Deidara's headband from Naruto..and after searching through ebay and google, I could not find ANY Deidara headbands, including ones without the crack. So disappointed because they had rain, grass and even waterfall..as well as Itachi's [of course], Kisame's and Sasori's.

Here is a pic:

Can anyone give me advice on how to make the headband..without it looking like a ghetto cosplay XD

Search it up on the internet, there's some pretty good guides. But personally I'm lazy and I have connections, so I asked my connections to get me a free headband. XD I could be lazy and get it for free ^_^

The first year I cosplayed as Itachi ( 2 years ago ) I made my head band with straight fabrics. I used plain black for the band, and cut some of my spare grey corderouy, used the flat side outword, and drew the symbol with a thin felt pen, and covered the grey fabric with a sheer see through piece, it turned up nicely for photos, and it was more comfortable than the metal parts.
Plus all the materials I used I had laying around so it was a lot cheaper too.

I KNOW !!!!!
I toiled over that cloak and the neck part, the tall part, I inserted tough material to make it stand by itself. And I embroidered all around the clouds with my sewing machine.
It broke my heart. Plus now there are loads of Itachi players, I think he must've appeared in the english manga releases by that time.

aww. My friend made the collar stick up too..the ones they sell don't even stick up x.x which I think ruins the Akatsuki cloak..x.x the way the cloak covers the face, making the Akatsuki look and seem more mysterious..when it doesn't have that..it kinda ruins it x.x

I don't think Itachi is even released in the US manga yet..I think they're up to volume 11..or when Jiraiya appears? The last cover I saw in the bookstore had Jiraiya on it..^^; I'm not sure when Itachi appears in the manga because I watched the show when it was up to that point..but arghh it still makes me mad :/

and just for randomness..I want to cosplay Tobi one day biggrin I haven't seen a Tobi before..maybe once on cosplay.com but never in person.

lol a Tobi one would be funny.
I can't even remmeber when I stoppped the SJ releases and found the scanslation sites. SO I don't know if he has yet, but I guess with the cheap cloaks more people just do it on the spur of the moment thing, and buy the whole costume at the con.

I'm actually planning on cosplaying Tobi early spring of next year.

I remember seeing some on sale at the Pacific Mall in Toronto or something... Slash and all. But I guess it'd be difficult to get if you're not in Canada...
Definately check Ebay.

i did a quick cosplay of that girl from the sand tribe with the T name...the one with the huge fan. and i made my head band because i was just too cheap to buy one. i used one of those cloth hair bands that go all the way around the head and made the metal part with duck tape with a piece of cardboard between the tape and the cloth part. and i just drew on the symbol. it worked, but it looked kinda cheezey. redface

but this was all ok to me because i didn't wear this to a con or anything....it was just for a local comic book store anime party thing. i didn't even have the fan and my outfit was in black not white. redface

but i was still learning them......hey wait i'm still learning now sweatdrop
