We have all heard inspiring quotes, or real life quotes that are definaly true. What I would like to know is which quotes have you heard that has definly took some sort of affect for you.
My quote: If you love something set it free, if it comes back, it is yours, if it doesnt, it never was...
I find this quote to be true, because I have had multiple online friends o.o But like always, something happens to break our friendship apart.
I have this friend named Christian. We were the best of pals ever. We use to do all that friendship stuff, Mailed each other little letters of inspirations (I have all of hers on teh wall sweatdrop ) we were able to talk to each other about almost anything, but we also had a downside to our relationship. Even though we loved each other to death, we both wanted more.
We wanted to acutally go out with one another. We wanted to start a romantic relationship, but It never happened because I refused.
I am not a good boyfriend when it comes to long distance relationships, and it has been proven multiple times. I am the type of person that needs wants to always hold the person I loved in meh arms, but online, you just can not do that. Also, she had a boyfriend that she loved, at during this time, her boyfriend became one of my best male friends. Acutally, my only male friend o.o..
Anywho, he started to think she was cheating on him with meh, because we were acutally that close to one another o.o. So I promised him that I would back down from here, and I did. I wasn't that friendly to her anymore. I kept pushing her away, eventually destroying our relationship. We were still friends, but every little thing we said to one another ticked us off. Itwas like, we were friends on a very thin line.
Anyway, about two months ago, I decided to just end our relationship. This is about the 3rd time I decided to do this, but this time, I was serious. She didn't want to do this, but I didn't want to hurt her, nor did I wanted her to hurt meh, so I knew it was the wise thing to do.
Anyway, its has now been two months, and she still talks to me, dispite the fact that I ignore her all the time. She calls here just to hear my voice. She emails meh all types of E-cards and she PMs meh like everday. Once again, she is softing meh up to talk to her, and its acutally working.
So I guess it is true. I truely loved her, so I let her go so I can not ruin her life. Her and I are true friends, because notthing we can do can acutally slip us apart ^-^ even though I am still kinda ignoring her...

the quotes I have are about Life and Death..... I'm a firm believer in taking all opportunities that life has to offer. Its too short to sit and ponder what something would be like....GO OUT AND DO IT! ^_^ First quote is actually a line from one of my poems I've written before I Opportunities wasted, were they meant to be mine? -You'll never know if you were meant to have that opportunity if you don't seize it! CARPE DIEM! A. Sachs Death is more universal than life; everyone dies but not everyone lives. -People who just let their lives slip through their fingers like the sands of time. Don't be that person. Do what you want with your life. On your deathbed, have no regrets. Be able to wholeheartedly say "WOW! What a ride" and then laugh maniacally as you draw your last breath to the final ride.

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent" ~ Eleanor Roosevelt
I have never in my life heard anything more true. People are always going to try and put you down, it's a fact of life. You can not change the fact that others will attempt to make you feel like you are worthless or insignificant. What you can change is whether or not they succeed. No one can make you feel anything, in all honesty. No one but you dictates what you think and feel.
I spent many years listening to others and believing I was everything they claimed: fat (and they meant that in the most insulting way possible), ugly, stupid, worthless... the list goes on. Then, I heard that quote and I really spent a great deal of time thinking about what it meant and I realized that all those people were not making me feel that way about myself, I was. And if I ever wanted that to change, I had to stop allowing these empty words to affect me the way they were.
And I am getting better about it... even though it's something I am still working on (a couple decades or so of feeling one way about yourself is not going to change overnight, after all).

My quote isn't exactly as glamorous as all of yours, but it's something that's always helped me. xD
On my 13th birthday I went to get my ears pierced a second time, and I was afraid it would hurt. The piercer put his hand on my shoulder and looked me in the eyes and said, "Sometimes the best thing to do, is to jump in head first, without thinking."
It sounds silly, but everytime I'm faced with a hard decision, I fall back on what he said... because I /do/ have a tendancy to overthink everything, which leads to more and more problems.
Not thinking is really good, sometimes. XD

Speak your mind, even if your voice shakes ~ Maggie Kuhn
I think this one really speaks for itself... Even if you are afraid to do so, you should always say what you have to say and let yourself be heard.
