They are far more affordable then a warwick and I might be able to get one today if I can get a ride. But what I want to know is, would it be better to just boss up and wait till I can afford a regular Warwick?

Perhaps.
In my experience, Warwicks have a unique growl, while RockBass...es, are like very good Jazz basses.
Play, compare, choose wisely.

Also, one of the things about Rockbass is that they are not as contoured as a Warwick. The backside is not carved out so you got this extra wood holding the bass away from your body and adding weight.

What you could do, and if you really want a Warwick, if the Rockbass is a natural finish (don't see too many Warwicks painted), you could buy some Warwick pickups and drop them in there and try to do something with the name on the headstock. More of quick fix but should hold you for a while.

Could I get some pictures?
I'll never be able to afford a warwick.

I went up to GC, I ended up getting the Warwick Rockbass Corvette, its a five string. The guy said that the rockbass. uses the same pickups as the warwicks, not sure if that is true.. I messed around with it for a little bit before I decided. I really like it, though that might be partially because its quite an upgrade compared to what I'm on now which is a four string epiphone, that I can even find what model it is lol.
I also got a Warwick bag, but I got it for 25 bucks from the guy there he discounted it, it has the kit in it to take cxare of a normal warwick, but I dont reallly need the beeswax cause the rock bass has a finish. I like how you can ajust the action from either end to get the exact action you want. It has active MEC pickups

Perhaps a Vampyre or a Corvette. Warwick has a unique sound, and RockBass probably can't duplicate that sound to a great extent.

Well of course it wont sound like a real Warwick, but for my situation, the extra two hundred dollars for a real Corvette was not a realistic idea, and for the price range its in, it is a wonderouse tone. I am very happy with the purchase, though....the idea of somday owning is actual Warwick is like smoething shiny being dangled in from of my eyes lol.

Ah, and when you do get to that point, I recommend branching out from the Corvette, I recommend the Thumb or Dolphin, very nice basses, and a tad more versatile than the Corvette.

I'd really like to get my grubby litle fingers on a Double Buck.
It's too bad I don't have 124156135 dollars.

Ah, there another one that was floating around when I wrote that but couldn't remember, but it's the Streamer, I believe Dirk Lance from old Incubus played a Streamer pretty exclusively.

Meh...Streamers remind me too much of the Spector body...which it is.
