I, unfortunately, have the PS2 version of this, though a friend of mine has the Dreamcast version. It's really quite easy to tell the differences between the two...aside from graphically, I mean. Too many things are different, and some things just...won't work. :/
Anyway, usually when I play against Kenrick and the others here, my main team is somewhere around the likes of Captain Commando, Cyclops and Strider. Usually. Any other teams I use include characters like Tron Bonne, Storm, Magneto, B.B.Hood, Cable, Cammy, Psylocke, Sakura, Felicia and Sonson.
It's a fun game...hella unbalanced, to state the obvious, but fun. xd

I myself own both the Dreamcast and the PS2 version. Both ROCK. There are a few suttle differences, but then I know how to take care of my stuff well. I have not had any bugs or problems with my Dreamcast version at all. As far as the bugs are concerned, I don't know what to tell you. I have not ran into any of them.

I have the XBox version, and though I haven't played enough in the arcades to really know the difference, I'm sure there are quite a few, if not a hell of a lot.

Magneto is the fastest character in the game. There are a couple of characters who have one or two attacks that are faster than Magneto's (ie: Megaman and Strider), but they are far from the fastest in the game.
If he isn't, please tell me who is. I'd love to know.

correction: IN THE AIR, magneto is the fastest. on the ground, he is very slow if he isnt dashing.
does anyone else have the mentality of having two core team members while the third slot varies depending on your mood? my two core members are psylocke (all around solid speed character with some good psyche outs) and BB hood (deceptively effective with firepower matched by few). for my third team member its a tossup between morrigan (very effective shotoclone) or tron bonne (solid all around with a few nasty combos).
well thats my ramble.
