This is all about Jiang's crazy guardian, Elina! Gotta love a crazy bookworm!
Name: Elina Song Gender: Female Species: Human Age: 26 General Info: Elina is quite... eccentric. And always has been ever since she found her way into Gaia. Aside from that, she worked her way from being poor, to finding decent jobs coloring. Unfortunately, being just a pathetic human with no special 'powers', she had to work harder and did what she could to survive. In doing so, Elina found herself getting better at her art skills and rising in status.
She is a still a student, and often shirks her school work to do other fun things. But somehow still manages to make time to get good grades. It was a challenge, and still is, seeing as the balancing act can get heavy.
Personality and Appearance: Elina has slightly tanned skin with sapphire eyes. Her hair is long and curly, framing her face beautifully. She's crazy and loves to have a good time. But she can be embarrassing at times, acting 'blonde' often. But she loves people in general and just wants to help others be happy. So she gets along just fine with most people. Most of the time, Elina is bubbly and all smiles! It's rare to see her down in the dumps or upset.
The curly-haired woman usually wears something blue, red or black. Unlike most females, Elina doesn't have many pairs of shoes, only a few. And her wardrobe is fairly small, so she doesn't have much to mix and match with. She does what she can though, and feels she succeeds fairly well. She's simple to please and very humble. Build: Athletic - Basicly she has broad shoulders and is strong. At least for a girl. Height: 5'3" Weight: 125lbs Habits: She gets a tendency to look towards the ground when she's feeling uncomfortable and will fiddle with her hair or clothes. Temperment: Laid-back and fun-loving. Weakness: A good book Fears: To be alone, with no friends. Pet Peeves: People interrupting. Favorite Pasttime: Sitting on the couch with her legs up and either draw or read.

This is Jiang's story. The past he will eventually have to come to terms with. Hopefully he'll be able to handle it when the time comes.
A procession was making it's way towards a shrine. It was not a huge shrine, but it could fit about a dozen people. At the back, there was a statue of a dragon on a pedestal. It's face was turned towards the front doors, crimson eyes sparkling. Each person of the procession had on their best clothes and every few rows had incense burning in a lantern. The smoke trailed backwards, it's scent invading people's nose as they breathed. Once inside, the sacrifice was brought in, an ox. After each person walked to their position, a chant was spoken and the ox was sacrificed. They had asked the Shen-Lung for good rains for their crops. Without a good crop, the village would not be able to survive.
This had been occurring every year for as long as the Chinese could remember. The dragon, in their culture, was a sign of luck. Dragons protected people and if given a satisfactory sacrifice or gift, they would grant a wish. If it pertained to their element of course. The Shen-Lung's element was wind and rain.
Weeks later, the sun began to rise above the fog covered mountains and it was met by the hustle and bustle of the locals. Already, they were working away in the rice fields. Young children were running around the village, shrieking as friends chased after them. It was just a typical day for them, but it wouldn't last long. By the time the sun was out shining brightly in the sky, there wasn't one idle person about.
While laboring in the fields, women were collecting the rice. Huyen, one of many girls in the fields, paused to wipe her forehead and to push back some stray hair. As she was about to go back to work, the sound of wheels and hoof beats caught her attention. Looking up to the road, a band of men on horses and a carriage halted. A strange man asked Huyen an inquiry in an odd accent, "Ho! Excuse me, miss, how much farther is the village?" He had short blonde hair and a square jaw. To Huyen, he looked so odd! But she gave him a shy smile and lowered her eyes as she replied.
"Just up ahead a few minutes."
"Thank you m'am," he replied, smiling widely as he nudged his chestnut horse forward. Huyen watched as the blonde man and the rest of his entourage headed to the village. I wonder where he came from He spoke Chinese but... I don't recognize his accent. And his clothes! Not being able to figure him out immediately, she let it slip from her mind as she went back to her task.
When the blonde-haired man arrived, he dismounted and was met by the 'chief' of the village. "What brings you here, traveler?"
Tilting his hat to the older man, the blonde gave a smile, "Just here to try and show your people a new way to live. New ideas that can change the way you work. It can make everything more efficient, which is what you want, correct?"
The old leader of the village thought a moment before replying, "Yes, our village does need more effective methods to harvest our crops. Please, join me for some tea. Then you may tell me more of your new ideas." Beckoning the blonde man into his hut, the two spent the rest of the afternoon talking. Each asked questions about the other's approach on living life. European styles were extremely different from Chinese styles.
The leader of the village was open to new ideas though. He wanted to learn all he could about European styles.
As the light began to fade, the women came in from the fields. With their large baskets, the women entered the village and went to work cleaning the rice.
More weeks passed, and the blonde European and his entourage stayed. He was shown their village and their way of life. But he seemed unimpressed by it all. Whenever the Shen-Lung was mentioned, he would glance at his friends with skepticism.
When the European traveler was taken into the Shen-Lung's shrine, the dragon watched him carefully from his statue. Something wasn't right about the foreigner. He couldn't place just what it was, but he didn't like the blonde man with his eyes the color of a clear sky. The only phrase the Shen-Lung kept thinking was, He's potential trouble; he's potential trouble! But there was nothing that he could do. His powers only worked when they were called upon or his emotions got out of control.
One day, after the men and women returned from their work, a meeting was called. The villagers were confused as to why they were assembling. They only came together if there was an emergency. Had something happened?
Muttering amongst themselves, every person of the village came and circled around the hut of their village leader.
Once they had all assembled, their leader came out of his hut and everyone went silent. "My friends, it seems we have been mislead all these years. The creature that we revere so much, that we believe to be of good nature, is a fraud. Our new European friend, William, has told us all about the dragons that live in his part of the world. The lung to us is sacred, a good luck sign. But in Europe, they're dangerous! They steal valuables and capture women. To any who try and save her is killed. Their dragons look different than ours, but none the less, they are the same creature!"
Immediately, murmurings burst out in the crowd. "Evil? How could it be?"
"The Shen-Lung has never harmed us! We've been good to him!"
"Sufficient sacrifices have always been given!"
Such outbursts were said, and with some difficulty, the leader was able to calm them down. "You must understand, we can't let the Shen-Lung overrule us anymore! He's been good to us so far, but how much longer until he shows his true self? We must take action before it;s too late!"
That was all the persuasion that the villagers needed. No time was wasted on gathering weapons and they were soon heading towards the shrine. When outside the shrine's doors, the Shen-Lung panicked. Something was wrong! Emerging from his statue, the blue and yellow dragon looked at all of the angry villagers. "What is this all about? Why are you here?"
"You tricked us! You lied!"
"Nothing but a fake! A danger to all!"
"What are you saying? I haven't deceived you! All I do is grant your wishes and keep you safe!" Before he could make a move, the villagers attacked him. Something that the Shen-Lung hadn't believed would ever happen. Unfortunately, they knew his weakness. The fireball that he kept by his front paws was his life-force. Without it, he was powerless and vunerable to anything and everything.
He was caught off guard and before he realized it, his life-force was taken away. This particular Shen-Lung was one of the younger dragons, and therefore wasn't as wise as other dragons. He didn't know what to do. Harm the villagers he had kept safe all those years? Or fight with every fiber of his being to live?
Not acting soon enough, the Shen-Lung found himself pulled to the ground. Sharp objects, feet, rocks, hands Everything hit and stabbed him. He tried to fight back, but he was weak. His powers were taken away from him, his life. Even without the beating, he still would have died.
Once the villagers had their fill of striking and pummeling him, they backed off and the blonde European stepped forward. Kneeling by the Shen-Lung's head, he wore a fake smile.
Taking a shaky, shallow breath, the dragon spoke, "I-it was y-you You turned them against me"
"Damn right I did. And a good thing too. Because all dragons are dangerous, no matter what side of the globe they come from. Including you, almighty Shen-Lung," William sneered, a fiendish look in his sky-colored eyes.
Before the Shen-Lung could make any kind of a response or retaliation, William took out a small contraption. With the long, thin barrel-looking end pointed at the dragon's head, he pulled the trigger and the Shen-Lung knew nothing more.

Don't know what a Shen-Lung is? Well here's some info, take a look!
These dragons are said to be made up of many different types of animals of the Earth: head of a camel, scales of a carp (117 in total), horns of a stag, eyes of a rabbit, ears of a bull, neck of a snake, belly of a clam, paws of a tiger, and the claws of an eagle.
The dragon is one of four main spirits, the others being the unicorn, phoenix and tortoise. They know all and there is no one else that comes close to holding as much knowledge as the dragon. Because of this, the dragon became the symbol for Chinese Emperors. To distinguish the dragons, each have a certain number of claws. The reasons for this are all different depending on where you go. Some say it's on how far away from China they are while others say the exact opposite.
In China, dragons are known as Lung (sometimes written as 'Long') and there are four types. The Tien-Lung is the Celestial Dragon that protects the places of the Gods; the Shen-Lung is the Spiritual Dragon who controls wind and rain; the Earth Dragon is the Ti-Lung who controls the water and rivers; and last but not least, the Fut's-Lung, the Underworld Dragon who guards precious metals and gems. Each hold the ability to fly without wings and shape shift.
All Lungs symbolize power and excellence, valiancy and boldness, heroism and perseverance, nobility and divinity. They are beautiful and wise, unlike their Western counterparts. But they are also vain; if insulted, they can and will cause massive destruction.

Oh Jiang is in total denial. They are too friends. They just... have an odd way of showing it. By insulting and fighting. A lot. Ug.

This is to help me keep track of what I have to do till Jiang's next stage. Whoot!
Stage Three: Infant > Toddler
-Your GOTP must be in baby form for at LEAST 1 month real life time. -This quest will be given to you by Kyr. It usually has something to do with tying the child back to what it was before it's rebirth. For example: Vanaja's quest involved her getting a bird companion. Kibarango's involved the child going into his first state of Rapture. And Taylor got the simple quest of gathering gems for his hoard. - 1000 word minimum post in journal about your wand moving to the next stage.
