::Dream...Reality:::

It almost seems to be an endless abyss, stretching out to infinity to either side. The surrounding darkness swirls with an occasional whorl of color, dark purple or blue, or by chance a combination of both. The same color continuation appears should you look above, although the colors are more frequent, and could almost be said to resemble the patterns created when one is underwater looking at the surface above.

You find yourself standing on a surface that is remniscent of stained glass, although the picture itself is difficult to see because of the size of it and of your proximity. It appears to feature several scenes from Avryn, including the barracks, cliffs, and plains, along with a few of the major cities. Strangely enough, you can see the glass perfectly well despite your dark surroundings.

A childlike giggle echoes from behind you. A strange person hovers over the center of the stained glass platform smiling at you. They don't appear to be wearing any clothing, other than an odd offwhite sash that hovers around their body from their shoulders all the way down past their toes, almost touching the floor. Their entire body glows with a white light, including their shock of white hair, which falls down to their waist. Their eyes shimmer, changing colors from green to blue every few seconds, and sparkle with a mischievous light.

Even though they appear to be a child of about ten years old, there is something decidedly strange about this person...

"Welcome," they whisper, their voice taking on echoey tones.

“Woah! Wha- I mean who are you?” Falco asked taking a step back in surprise. “ And…more importantly where am I?” the zahdl said glancing around the seemingly endless abyss. The occasional whirl of colour and the glowing welcoming person before him was not helping to improve the situation at all. In fact, if truth be told, the zahdl would truly consider this situation a downright creepy and unnerving dream except for one thing; Sarah was here with him. “Sarah?” Falco asked somewhat confused. “What are you doing in my dream?”

“I don’t know Falco but how do you know that you aren’t in mine?” the guardian replied also taking in the same weird scenery. “Perhaps it’s some sort of shared dream,”

“You think so?” Falco asked before turning his attention once again to the glowing figure ahead. It seemed that it has something to say at any rate and…somehow Falco knew that it meant no harm.

"It's kinda nice to have visitors without huge gaps of time between them..." they remarked offhandedly, smiling. "Don't worry, time passes fairly quickly here. You'll be out of here in no time."

The child sat down in midair, crossing their legs. The sash swirled around a bit, and they took the end of it in one hand, fiddling with it absentmindedly.

"I don't want to seem like I'm prying, but do you mind if I ask you a few questions? Don't worry, your answers will only be known to the three of us, and nobody else."

"Vsitsors?" Sarah asked curiously. "There was someone else here?"

"Sarah, I think that we're the ones who should be answering questions not the other way around. The child did say that whatever took place and will take place is confidential so I don't think we'll get much answers anyways," Falco replied smiling at his guardian's curiousity. In truth, the zadhl was more interested in knowing what kind of questions would be asked seeing that this isn't something that happens everyday, even if it is a dream.

Eyeing the child as it sat fiddling with its sash Falco grinned at it. "Err...sure, shoot away and I'll try to answer them,"

The child giggled for a moment.

"I like you," they said once they had calmed down, "you're much easier to talk to!" Smiling, they nodded in thanks.

"They're more personal questions, so answer them however you interpret them!" The child said, thinking to clarify after the few incidents that had happpened with the last 'visitor'. Frankly, the child was just glad that the person this time was a little less..mmm...grumpy. ((OC: Sorry, you know I love you Myu. XD I think you intimidated the mysterious one.))

"Okay, question one! What is your favorite place to be and why?"
PostPosted: Wed Sep 13, 2006 9:00 pm

"The sky," Falco instantly replied without thinking too much. " I love being able to go where I please and as fast as I want. With the wind in my hair and its whisper as my guide...err...you do know what I mean right?" Falco asked sheepishly sudddenly realising that he sounded a wee bit too poetical and Sarah was telling him so by giggling.

"I mean, the ground is neat but there are tons of things that get in your way; a rock, a tree or maybe even a mountain and water is cool too but, well... my wings develope a drag when I'm in water...," Falco replied simply( flaring his wings a little as if to prove his point). " I think I might possibly drown if I stayed in the water too long,"

"Sounds wonderful," the child replied kindly, smiling at his enthusiasm.

"Hmmm...next question!" They thought for a moment, crossing their legs. "What is most important to you?"
PostPosted: Thu Sep 14, 2006 7:21 pm

"Avryn, my friends; Myu, Cloud, Izzie, Page, Snow, Nyx and possibly that little shop in that other dimension," Falco replied nodding earnestly ticking off the names with his fingers. "...and also...Sarah. ,"

Sarah was suprised and touched by the zahdl's statement and if she had been alive she probably would have blushed. Instead Sarah had to content herself with swirling rather rapidly about the zahdl's head.
Falco let out a hearty laugh at Sarah's behaviour. It felt good to have Sarah with him again after that last episode. She had been rather shocked at his promise and had chided him furiously over his so called 'chivalrous' attitude and that you 'shouldn't promise someone something you can't keep'.

"Those questions aren't that hard you know," Falco replied facing the figure. "They are important, I'll agree to that but... to me those answers may possibly be as clear as the ray's of dawn shining through the night's shadow. I'll do anything to make sure that those that I care about will never come to harm,"

The child smiled warmly at the zahld's answer. It always made them feel glad when caring people like this were entrusted with the future. They could feel more confident about the state of the world when there were people like Falco looking after it.

"Thank you," the child said ernestly. They stood up, releasing the end of the sash.

"Last question," they said more solemnly. "Do you believe in destiny?"
PostPosted: Fri Sep 15, 2006 3:30 pm

Okay this was a bit of a stumper for Falco. Destiny? Was the future really already planned out and only awaited to be followed? Falco frowned at the thought. "I hate following something already preplanned but to say that I don't believe in certain events taking place which affects future is wrong too. Perhaps destiny is something like a multiple choice question that leads on to the next big question after each choice is made.Which road will I choose now? Events and things happen but what counts is how you choose to answer it...," Falco mumured to himself before looking up and smiling at the figure.

"I've got the answer. Whatever happens,I shall choose my own path and anwers and not blindly follow what has been laid down for me. If I don't like the one that's offered, I'll make my own,"

Sarah nodded in agreement. "Chance and destiny are fickle things. Ultimately how you choose to react to them offers a different next situation and like Falco said, we shall choose our own path and regardless of the outcome, we will never look back and regret it,"

"That's very wise," the child said grinning, eyes narrowed with glee. This one would be interesting to watch, oh yes. Too many in the past had been so obsessed with fulfilling destiny and following their fate that they had fallen into the darkness of despair.

"I can't thank you enough for answering my questions," the child said, smiling somewhat slyly. The expression slowly faded to a neutral one and they looked upwards.

"The way to the dawn is opening..." they said softly.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 15, 2006 4:33 pm

"Dawn?" both Falco and Sarah said together in suprise. So it was a dream after all and as a beam of light shone through, Falco narrowed his eyes and turned towards the figure. " You have not told me your name,"

"And what are you," Sarah added.

"I am the one who watches, the everpresent one," they spread their arms wide, eyes closed. As their words finish, the darkness above seems to open wide, a beam of light coming down on you. A strange feeling overcomes you, and you begin to be drawn towards the sky. The world you're in begins to fade away...

"Never fear, young one," they say softly, face uplifted. "This shall not be our last meeting."

"H-hey! I'm flying wi-,"
"-without wings," Sarah giggled and Falco grinned. Turning back to the figure for the last time Falco waved. " Fine, be mysterious and goodbye!"

"You know," Sarah mused as they floated ever higher. " That guy never really answered any of our questions. We were no wiser than when he first appeared,"

"Really?" Falco remarked suprised. " Somehow I feel content. Like everything that I treasure but had almost forgotten or taken for granted brought up once again to the surface. Those questions made me realise how important...you guys are and how important it is...to shape my own future,"

" Well, if that's the case, I'm glad," replied Sarah also turning to face the lonely figure. " I'll save those questions until we meet again! "

They could feel the sunrise in the waking world. Smiling gently as they opened their eyes, the child waved slightly.

"I have faith in you," they whispered."

As the mysterious area fades completely, you find yourself awakening where you had fallen asleep. Everything is the same as you left it...

Well, maybe not everything...
