"Children of the Moon, pay no attention to the writing on the wall The words seem empty 'cause there's nothing there at all We let the wise men beat the drums too soon We were just children of the moon None to turn to Nowhere to run to even if we could
Too late to save us but try to understand The seas were empty there was hunger in the land We let the blind man lead the way too long Easy to see where we went wrong Nothing to live for Nothing to die for
We're lost in the middle of a hopeless world Lost in the middle of a hopeless world Children, children of the Moon watch the world go by Children, children of the Moon are hiding from the sun and the sky Children, children of the Moon watch it all go by Children, children of the Moon are blinded by the light in their eyes No one to turn to Nowhere to run to even if we could
Follow the pilgrim to the Temple of the Dawn The altar's empty and the sacrifice is gone We let the madmen write the golden rules We were no more than mortal fools Nothing to live for Nothing to die for
We're lost in the middle of a hopeless world Lost in the middle of a hopeless world Children, children of the moon, watch the world go by Children, children of the moon, hiding from the sky..."

Meet the Family
Three Tailed Fox Fox is Kara's caretaker and raised her from a feather. She sometimes is not seen as often as one may like, but she tries her hardest to balance her hectic life.
Cameron Cameron ("Ronny") is a funny little fox-boy who loves skateboarding--so much, in fact, that he wants to teach Kara how to skateboard! n_n! Thankfully, she's not interested.
Rhapsody DECEASED.
Summer Summer is a sweet little girl. She is very active and loves to run around and do outdoor activities, especially swimming and camping.

Day One
I vaguely remember a woman approaching me this evening and giving me a pale blue and purple feather. I believe her name was something along the lines of Lussier? Oh well. It's no matter of importance now, I think...
I fashioned the feather about my neck on a delicate string and carried it with me for the rest of the day. As I retired to bed, I set it on my bedside table on its' necklace so that it would not become ruined as I slept.

Day Two
I woke this morning more refreshed and relaxed than I had in years.
The necklace has disappeared...! I am assuming it has fallen somewhere; I will search for it later, once I return home from school.

Day Three
I have searched everywhere with no sign whatsoever of the necklace--string or feather. I fear I may never see it again...

Day Twenty
The feather--with no necklace--has turned up mysteriously on my windowsill. It was near midnight when I discovered it basking in the moonlight. The moon is nearly full, I realize. It's glittering like an amethyst... At first, I thought it was dust shimmering in the light of the moon, but no; the feather itself giving off a silver glow.

Day Twenty-Three
The feather has disappeared once more, but that is the least of my worries. There is a little blue-and-purple-haired girl sitting contentedly upon my bed, watching me with her bright salmon-pink eyes. It has come to my attention that she has a pair of feathered wings that match her hair. She wears a pink dress to match her eyes.
She tells me her name is Kara. Her voice is so soft and sweet, like dew-covered grass on an early misty morning... I've noticed her fair skin bares a few light purple markings on her legs and face.
I have no idea how this lovely little girl has made her way into my home, but I do not doubt that her appearance is in some way connected to that feather. She seems to have no recollection of her parents or guardians, so I will be taking care of her.
