Mrost barely made a sound as he moved through the shadows of the graveyard. Once again, he was cloaked in illusion, appearing as nothing more than a bluer than usual male lion, the only giveaway, his slitted pupils.
He felt the tension in these lands the same way he felt the dust underfoot. Erevu, his only true believer as yet, had come from here, had experienced the venom with which the two devided clans regarded each other. To this day it amused Mrost that despite being summoned into being by a hyena, he appeared as a lion. Erevu held lions in high esteem, it seemed.
With the faintest of self satisfied smirks, he leapt atop a skull and sat down, he knew someone would be past here at some point today, and he had all the time in the world to wait.

The gangly head of a rather large female hyena poked erratically out of the gaping mouth of an elephant skull. The nostrils on this head flared quickly, sniffing the air intently. There was a soft growl, and the hyena known as Mafa lept from her 'den'. A strange smell had snapped her out of her sleep, and it angered her immesely. The smell carried the faint scent of a lion, but it wasn't a usual liony smell. The alpha female brsitled immediately, probably another one of that wretched Ausha's spies.
Mafa's icy vison blurred in anger as her dirty paws began to move, stirring into a quick trot as she lifted her nose into the air and followed the scent. The hyena herself was rather filthy, but not just with the dust of the land, but with blood, lion's blood. Mafa had had an encounter with one of the lions from the graveyard not a day ago, she didn't know his name, but she had torn him up pretty good. The memory of this settled her lightly, but she was still intent on finding this new intruder.
It wasn't long before Mafa came upon an elephant skull, nothing out of the ordinary, except this skull had a filthy lion standing upon it. She bristled immediately and let out a loud growl. The nerve of these creatures...

Again, the hyena male was around the graveyard, swinging a baby gazelle by its leg while he was at it. He'd caught it, and sense it was small, he'd eat it here. Hopefully, he'd find a nice big elephant skull to eat it in. But then, Tibuka's ears caught a low growl(Low, him not being very close. xD), and looked around. That female he'd seen the other day wasen't around, but he should see the problem. Curious, he heads in the direction with a small sprint, the dead gazelle still dangling from his jaws.
The first thing he saw, was the back of a blue lion on an elephant skull, and he did get a little defencive at that; stupid lions. But then, he notices the growl dosen't come from it, rather, another hyena. This one isn't the brown female, but she is rather dirty. It does startle him to see her covered in blood, but he shakes it out, jsut eyeing the scene curiously.

Mrost approved of Mafa as he spotted her, if ever there was an agent who fuelled war, it was this female. He eyed the blood on her pelt for the quickest of moments before raising a paw disarmingly.
"Please. Spare me the usual intimidation tactics ma'am. I am aware of your loathing for "my kind" and shall leave these lands as soon as I impart what I must."
He gave her a wicked grin.
"I despise lions as much as you do, perhaps moreso."
Though no more than I despise every living thing.
"Of course you don't have to take my word for that, after all, what do my words mean? Nothing more than the breeze I suspect. Selective hearing can be a wonderful thing I would assume. Either way, I will tell you what i know, wether you choose to listen thereafter is entirely in your own paws."

Mafa's head curved down in an agressive stance, she didn't like this lion, didn't like him at all. But then again, she didn't like lions period, so this one was no different. He was lucky he had climbed up onto that skull, for is he had been down at her level, she'd be at his throat. When the female spoke, her voice held no tone, it was flat and emotionless,
"Maybe should leave now, save me the energy of having to deal with you. Love them, hate them, it doesn't matter to me, I loathe you all the same"
The female tossed her head lightly in a show of dominance. Her ears pinned back as he spoke, of course she'd listen, she always listened when the lions spoke. Their words always fueled her anger, perhaps that was what she was looking for, who knew.
"Just because I listen, doesn't mean I care"
The hyena huffed, her head turning away from the blue lion as another smell entered the area. A hyena, one she hadn't come in contact with before, and blood, this hyena had a kill with it. Mafa licked her lips momentarily before whipping her freezing gaze back to the lion.

Tibuka's ears are tilted forward to listen better, he liked what he heard. Neither of them seemed afraid of eachother, this would be rather amusing. Though, he resisted the urge to butt in, it was their problem, not his. Still, he felt like staying, he'd like to see two creatures fight, indeed he would. Though, of course, the other hyena was of preference to win, lions needed something to bring their ego down, no?
He just sits down and lets the gazelle sit by his paws, not wanting its blood scent to cloud his senses, he'd need them, in case anything happened.

Mrost's own stance was as decadent and relaxed as it could be. He hadn't expected the slightest ounce of warmth from the female, to receive it was to immediately disqualify her in his mind from being worthy of his time. His smirk widened slightly as she suggested he leave, his expression as alway, that of someone who considered themselves aware of the punchline of a joke the world was the butt of.
"Ah then, the listener understands the messenger, equally, just because I speak, doesn't mean I care either."
He too followed her gaze to the hyena that had just arrived. He didn't care if this other heard what he had to say, something told him only Mafa would be interested. Nevertheless he allowed himself to note the other's appearance lest he need to cross paths with him again.
"Either way, here is my message. I am aware that in these lands there is a feud..so to speak, a divide where lions have taken by force that which belonged to the hyena. If I'm not mistaken, it's not the first time such an occurance has happened, these lands were left barren by the deaths of the old inhabitants to a plague.. one carried by lions." he grinned maliciously, all this he had heard from Erevu. "At least this time merely lands, not life have been taken." he waved a paw "Still, thankfully, there is time yet."
With a swish of his blue tail, he went on. "Anyway, I digress, and I know your time is most likely in high demand, what with musing on your little ball of hate and all. There is a lion, yes? Called Ausha? He has sired cubs, three of them, to a female, therefore once again perpetuating his claim on these lands. If I'm not mistaken, their existance is an insult to you and all you represent. I have spoken with him, he considers the white female, Dhamisa, his heir, take her and you would have the lions under your control."
He gave her another long look, his own ears pinned back. Hyenas were delightful.
"I don't expect you to believe me, but in this case, I doubt you have much to lose. Do as you will."
He let out a chuckle, more hyena-like than that of a lion, a side effect of his summoner. "Anything you do do will be of interest to me."

Mafa took careful steps around the skull as the lion blabbed on, damn, he had a lot to say, Mafa had never been fond of anything talkative, for she herself tended to be the exact opposite. She was listening to his words, but not making sense of them. It wasn't until he mentioned the plague that Mafa really started listening. Her eyes adopted a cold glare, the black hole that was her heart skipping a few beats. The plague, that plague that the lions had brought and were going to bring again if they didn't do anything to stop it. But, how did this disgusting beast know about it? As Ausha's name was mentioned, Mafa twitched, the rage within her stirring. She hated him above all the others, he was the one that had led the lion here. Mafa had made it her goal in life to end his. But this new news was troubling.
"Cubs? Are you mad, lion? What is that queer of a cub doing around females?"
The thought of little miniature Aushas running around fueled Mafa's rage. How had she not known about this before? This lion had her full attention now. Dhamisa, she'd remember that name, remember it well. If it was the heir to the lion throne, it would have to die, and with it, hopefully, so would the other lions here.
"Control them, please, I don't want anything to do with them. The agony of their deaths will suffice, then, everything will be as it was"
The female growled these last words. She could care less about what these lions did, as long as they got out of her home, out of her sight, she'd be satisfyed. Of course, total extermination of their kind would be even better, but perhaps that was aiming too high. Her cold glare tightened as the lion chuckled, something about him wasn't right, she couldn't put her finger on it,
"How do you know all this?"

More lions? Erf. Dhamisa... Though, even if it would be sorta odd if he interrupted, this caught his attention. Three cubs. If this Dhamisa died, there's still be two left, no? "And what of the other two cubs, then? " This question was more of a test, or an attempt to get more information from this 'lion'. Though, he does dip his muzzle in some sort of apology for Mafa, he'd be rather pissed if someone interrupted his conversation, but this was something he just coulen't let slip out.
More lions, equaled more hiding, not to mention, possible new plagues. Lions were so dumb, always getting sick and spreading it out. And, sense linos ran into hyenas many times, theyd eventually get the sickness, too.

Mrost shrugged his shoulders non-commitally "Perhaps he felt that was an action which would infuriate you most. As for control, the power to kill is in itself a type of control. I don't care what you do, it's all the same to me." he shook his mane out of his face and turned his gaze on a paw.
"As for how I know what I know. I'm no normal lion. I was called here by a hyena, hold a grudge beyond years and hate everything. Although sometimes, some things are too much fun not to meddle in. Things will never be as they were though, no matter how hard you try." This illicited a smirk, let people guess who he was, what he was, or what his intentions were.
He got to his paws, his tail uncurling from where it had rested at his feet and dancing in the air behind him, and with another grin, he turned to the hyena who had spoken up "As for the other two...that's entirely up to you."
"Anyway, for now, I'm off. Don't get killed, I don't want to have to repeat my message again."
And with that, he decided that demonstrating for, once, what he was, would be appropriate. Letting his illusion slide like so many shadows, he spread his bony wings, and in a turn of impossible physics, launched himself from the skull and in a combination of gliding and leaping further up the cliffs, soared out of sights, his armour glinting in the misty light, his markings remaining visible for a time after he himself was gone.

A growl rumbled in Mafa's throat, as much as she hated it, the lion was right. All this to get on her nerves, these lions were relentless. The brown hyena she had seen before suddenly butted in, her ears pinned back in annoyance, she already had plans for the other two,
"They'll provide the pack with a good deal of nutrition"
The female smirked inwardly and looked back up as the lion rambled on. Called here by a hyena? Mafa rolled her eyes quickly, what was he going on about. A bit of this lion reminded her of herself, a life long grudge, immense hatred of the lions... Not like she'd admit having anything in common with a lion though.
"Me, killed? Impossible, I'll live forever, until I finish what I need to"
Her eyes widened a bit as this lion's illusion faded. Some how, she wasn't surprised, she was scared, she didn't know what to feel. She had never seen anything like these beast before, a lion, with wings? A demon of some sort perhaps, but she didn't believe in that kind of crap. As he dissapeared from sight, Mafa rose her head in his direction,
"Good riddance"
With a short huff, Mafa turned to the hyena, her tone quiet and dull,
"And who are you supposed to be, come to join us?"

He listens to the lion, pfft, oh so special. Or.. Ouch. He really was special. In te blink of an eye, Tibuka saw something he never thought he'd see, and sure didn't want to; a flying lion. He takes a hesitant step back, or to get a better look as it soars off, or out of suprize. His ear tilts to the female's direction though, as she starts to speak. Shaking his mane a bit, so it woulden't stay all spiki like it did when he was suprized,he answers. "I'm supposed to be Tibuka. " He nods, blinking, us? So this was some back, hunh? "A pack, you mean? That could be a good idea, but would I be allowed to leave and hunt elsewhere? It is easy to tell here dosen't have much of preybeast. " The brown hyena questions, deciding not reply on her comment about the cubs. He'd just kill them if he got the chance, period.
These creatures learned how to fly, oh lord. His mind mutters, obviously, he still didn't get the idea of a flying lion out of his head, it was rather scary. They could just swoop down like hawks. But maybe this was.. A special lion?

Mafa nodded her head at this new male's introduction and turned away from the skull on which the lion had just flown off of. She didn't seem at all phased by the encounter, but it would give her something to ponder on later.
"Congradualtions Tibuka, you're in. Do as you wish, but I see you buddying around with those lions and you will meet a rather grizzly fate"
Mafa's cold, aqua gaze whipped to stare Tibuka down. She wasn't at all selective with whom she allowed into her pack. The bigger force of hyenas she had on her side the better. As long as they were a hyena, they were in, hating lions was a plus, besides, she could always force them to think like her. She believe she had no right to deny a hyena a home here in the graveyard. As long as they followed her rules that is...

Simple, no? That was rather.. Easy. He gives a small nod. "Yes.. " He's rather confused, but blinks. "How about those other ones, the wild dogs? " He supposed they were rather differant than lions, being canines and all, but if Mafa didn't want him to 'buddy up' with them, he wouldn't. This pack was probably a good one, it didn't limit him to only these lands. And now he could freely come and go, just not tangle up with what he shoulden't.
He lowers his head and takes a few steps towards his gazelle, pulling the elready weak leg from his tossing, and yanking it out rather easly. Then he just lies down and startsto chew on the little flesh it has, at least his whole maw can reach around it.

Mafa shrugged lightly, she hadn't had too many enocounters with the wild dogs, just one in fact. They weren't a threat to her just yet, and she didn't feel any hatred toward their kind. Sure she didn't like the fact that they were on her land, but as long as they weren't planning to stay, she'd deal with it for now.
"If they seem peaceful, leave them be, but remind them that this is hyena territory, make sure they find their way out as quickly as possible"
With a huff, Mafa sat and eyed Tibuka warily, hopefully, he'd be obedient and wouldn't cause her any trouble. He seemed alright from where she was sitting, most of the other hyenas did too. She didn't really care where they went, where they hunted, as long as they were loyal to her, and saw her as their leader, she'd accept it. With a light glare, Mafa watched the brown male wander off to his kill and start to eat it, this made her ponder when she last ate. Perhaps she'd hunt later, or make some other hyena do it for her.

"M'kay. " He gave a simple answer, because he wanted to finish this before looring any of the lions over. Well, maybe cubs would be a good idea-- as long as the mother and father didn't gome too. He eyes the female, she is his alpha now, no? "You can have some if ya want. " He offers, between a few bites of the leg, slowly finishing. There was only a bit of meat left on it, more to the top, witch was fatter. He also enjoys chewing on the bones a bit, liking to crack them just to hear the sound.
(( Tibuka: Aww, Mafa, your just as scary as Ausha with lipstick. n.n.. Wich is very scary. ;; ))

Mafa shook her head at his offer, she could go for some food, but this kill was his to finish. That male seemed rather self sufficient, which she favored,
"Looks like you can hunt, I suppose you'll be one of the hunters..."
Mafa lowered her head as she mused out loud. She was never exactly sure which ranks to assign. According to her, all of them were the same, all of them were below her and that was final. Perhaps she'd let them duke it out on their own some time later so she wouldn't have to preoccupy herself with the matter.
With a huff, Mafa sat down on the ground rather elegantly and sighed, her gaze flitting back to the skull on which that flying lion had sat on. Her head was buzzing with what he had said, she wasn't exactly sure how to carry all this out.

But then he finishes the leg, and tosses the small, borcken bones away towards a few other bones, probably the rest of the body of that elephant. "Lions flying.. Odd thing, no? " Tibuka muses, before moving to tear some flesh out of the small gazelle's stomach. It didn't have much meat to it, he'd caught a very young one, but enough to fill his stomach.

Mafa shook her head as the male spoke,
"Quite, I wonder why he was like that..."
What ever possesed a lion to sprout wings? Was it even possible? Well, of course it was, she had seen it with her own eyes. The whole idea of it seemed... Like a big joke. With another shake of her head and a sigh, Mafa lowered her self even farther, laying down on the hard dust that composed the graveyard. It'd be back, she just knew it would, and then she'd find out what it really was.

"Maybe it was.. Some sort of special thing? In a bad kind of way, of course. At least it was useful. "
