I'd really like to take peoples thoughts on Mariko, number 35. Not many people seem to like her very much because she's so psychotic. I for one love her, and I feel sorry for her for what she'd been through. I dont blame her, not in the least. confused

stare Mariko is an evil *bleep* she broke off one of Lucy's horns... Thats not right... Im glad she died, but it was a really sad scene... I mean, by the flashbacks, it showed that she must not have been in constraints for even half a year... yet she just causes chaos sheerly cause she wants to. Lucy only kills people to get out of the facility, or in self-defense (mostly) so yeah, Mariko is very dislikeable, and I dont blame anyone who doesnt like her, Its Lucy all the way for me. mrgreen

The flashbacks were dreams she had. The mother died right there in the nursery. She was dreaming that her family would one day come and take her away from that place, look how badly the diclonius are treated! and with their mental state ontop of that? I dont blame her for being psychotic I would be the same friggen way. Look how quickly she snapped out of her phsychotic form when kurama showed up after she beat lucy up? All she wanted was her family to come for her, and they never came.

like . . i'm not really dissing lucy either, lucy is one of my fave characters but i think mariko deserves a little more fandom and respect ._.

~Lucy_The_Diclonius~ I love mariko and not just because she is the ultimate diclonius either.all she ever wanted was to be loved and i feel for her poor mariko least someone agrees with meh XD I remember when I first saw the scene where she's introduced and after it switched to nana eating the ice cream, i rewound it, paused and and squealed saying she was so psychotically adorable >.>

I think marikos design in the manga was poor . . she had blonde hair in the manga. . . she's so muh cuter with pink hair

The thing about Mariko I love is the fact that she just longs to be with her father, and that she kneew without every seeing him that he was her father, but I know for a fact they both died happily

She's my fav. char from Elfen Lied. She's misunderstood by people... And at the last episode, when she gets killed, I hated the scientist who pushed the button. Mariko just finds her father, but she gets killed before she has a better life...Not fair!

Kurama knew what he was doing, He knew he and Mariko could never live a normal life together after everything, But even still he wanted to be together with her and his wife, as a full family again, somewhere where Mariko couldnt hurt anyone. He knew what he had to do. But the manga is completely different, Mariko dosnt get that cute little hug . . in the manga kurama raises the gun to her, and he fires, she deflects the bullet and then suffers a mental breakdown. Hopefully later Mariko gets a redemption, but as of current . . poor thing . .

Well i think number 35 is cool. It was not her fault she was brought up in isolation, her dad should have been there for her then she might not have turned so evil on the world ,an try to hurt poor lucy. She was a walkin bomb that is so mean. crying
