I'm always on the lookout for good Doctor Who music videos on YouTube. All these are ones I particularly like because I think they are really well done or they just make me laugh. Tell me what you think!
Remember, I didn't make any of these. Praise goes to the people who did. They can all be found on my Doctor Who Playlist on YouTube which is here:
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=C1132A6C1D5BA61ABut in case you don't want to use that here they are individually with brief descriptions:
What About EverythingThis video features all the Doctors (old and new) with a really nice, gentle and cheery song by Carbon Leaf. It's the sorta vid that would make me go all tearful if it caught me at the right moment.
It's AlrightA fun Fourth Doctor fanvid with lots of running around and action and just the tiniest smidge of 4th Doctor/Sarah Jane romance - but not too soppy or anything.
Doctor Four EverybodyAnother Fourth Doctor vid by the same person. A tongue-in-cheek funnier vid. I like the song too.
Run With UsA 7th Doctor and Ace vid using the end theme to The Raccoons (which I used to watch and I think fits perfectly music-wise). The tune would go well with any Doctor but the slightly 80's sound fits Ace especially. And it's just a generally fun video to watch.
The Ten Doctors Trailer Version 4This one is a slightly odd one. It's not a music video, it's actually a mock trailer for an episode (or possibly a movie?) featuring all ten of the Doctor's incarnations. The person who did this is obviously a wiz with Final Cut Pro or equivalent because they've quite cleverly blended clips of different Doctors with one another. It does go on a bit though (a long 7 minutes) and some of the blended video clips work better than others, as do some of the voice clips. But it's pretty impressive and I'd have LOVED to see the actual episode if there had ever been a chance of creating it.
Cold As IceThe only William Hartnell tribute video I've found, I think. Certainly one in a minority. But very good - and the perfect song for him. Though at times it really does make him look quite evil...
The Time WarThis is another one that isn't a music video but is very good. It's a series of clips imagining what might have happened during the Time Wars - in a vague sort of way. It also covers the Daleks and the Doctor's association with them. The video has good bits and slightly clumsy bits but I like it. It also has a few brief clips of the actress who plays Charlie in the audio dramas which I thought was good of them to include.
There are a few Time War videos on YouTube so if you're interested I recommend searching 'Doctor Who Time War' in the search bar.
A Hard Day's NightThe sequel to the Cold As Ice video this time featuring the Second Doctor Patrick Troughton. A humourous tribute to his era including all my fav villians and companions so I like it very much.
Doctor Who: The HeroA more heroic tribute to the Doctor. This one mostly features the newer Doctors, especially Tennant, but the others get a fair show and I think the song fits perfectly with the fight scenes. I never used to like Holding Out For A Hero... but now I don't think it's so bad.
Ordinary DayA nice little vid with a selection of different Doctors - though not all of them I'm afraid. I'm just glad to see them at all though. And it's a really positive, cheery video.
Monsters - Lots Of ThemNow this is a REALLY good video by a person with a lot of time on their hands!
biggrin It's all done by animating toys! They have other good Doctor Who toy videos on YouTube but this is one of the most impressive - with the Ninth, Tenth and Fourth Doctors fighting hoards of evil plastic enemies.
Funnily enough though, I don't think that the music fits at all. I think they'd have been better with the Doctor Who theme or something much more cheery - Monster is far too grim, even though the lyrics fit. Doesn't really matter though, you'll be too busy watching all those toys dance around to care.

And that's all I've gathered so far! Well, the best of what I've gathered so far anyway.
I'd love to hear what other people think of them and if anyone has any others they've found - especially Classic/Multi Doctor ones though particularly good Tennant ones will pass
xp - and especially ones people have done themselves would be great, so please post them. And if you made any of these videos then thank you very much! They rock.
