This is an private RP between HaYouDidntKillMe!!’s Daisy and Konalou’s Myoa They are in the plains on a cloudy day.  The depressing gray clouds covered the sun’s beams of light, making the grassy plain dark and gloomy. The humidity made it sticky and the smell of rain was becoming strong. Thunder occasionally let out barely audible growls, but it wasn’t loud enough to startle the wildlife of the plain. A slight breeze swayed the grass back and forth. A stray bolt appeared far to the south.
”A storm is approaching. I better go find some shelter soon.” Daisy thought as she watched the stray lightning bolt. She dipped her head down to the ground and grazed on the grass. She then heard another one of the thunder’s growls, except it was growing louder. As she lifted up her head to look at the sky again, she saw another bolt of lightning, except this bolt was to the north. She knows that she really ought to find shelter, but she lowered her head again and grazes on more of the grass. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning trickles down from the sky, maybe about 5 miles from where Daisy stood.
”Okay! Finding shelter now!” Daisy thought as she flinched and trotted off towards the forest. There's lots of shelter there, but the forest is a little far from where Daisy was.

The storm was nearly upon her now. Myoa had hoped she could've outflew the raging storm, but it was a lot stronger and faster then she could've ever imagined. It had started out as a drizzle, so Myoa had gone for her evening flight. However, it suddenly strengthened beyond words. Myoa was a master weather-reader, and no fool. She was weary from fighting strong, stray winds, and knew couldn't last much longer if the storm caught up to her.
She winced as it thundered, seemlying in her ear because of the altitude. She needed to land. Now.

Daisy trotted through the grass and soon felt the rain sprinkling lightly on her body. She paused for a second and looked up towards the sky...to catch raindrops of course. Soon, more bolts of lightning and stray winds appeared out of no where. The storm was getting worse. She then saw a smidgeon of green in the sky. She watched it, and hoped whatever it was got out of the storm's reach. She focused her eyes upon the green figure and saw it was one of those winged soquilis. It looked like the kind mare that she has met awhile back. She has never seen a soquili in flight and watched her in awe. She hoped the mare will land safely, where ever she lands at least.

Myoa grimaced. She was trapped. The storm had crept up behind her, and it's winds, with the stray ones ahead of her, and stoped her flight completely. She was struggling just to stay airborne. The winds were now pushing at her wings. Oh no! If her wings locked it was over. She would flall to her death.
Myoa composed herself. There was only one thing she could do. One thing she had learned that others at failed to understand was the you can't fight wind, it would only fight back. You let the wind guide you, and take you to your desitination.
She closed her eyes, then folded her wings. She dropped. Just when she was about to crash, she opened her wings with a double twist. Then, with a triple loop, she pulled out of the tugging winds. There! She had done it! Myoa was free!

Watching the figure of the mare in the sky, she worried for her safety . The winds were probably stronger in the sky. She winced as she started to fall, but as soon as she saw her recompose herself, she sighed with relief. She watched in complete fascination as she watched the figure do a triple loop. She started to towards the forest once again, occasionly looking up to see how the mare was faring in the sky.

She gave a sigh of relief. Falling on purpose was by no means easy, it went against every single of Myoa's insticts! It took all of her will to stop herself from spreading her wings and getting them torn to pieces.
Myoa quickly flew on. Now that she dominated the winds, it was time to find shelter. Still, despite her situation, she allowed herself a wave of thrill. What a flight this was! She smiled to herself and searched for a cave or cliff, anywhere to rest. Her eyes fell on a large slab of rock. It wasn't large enough to be considered a cliff, but still large enough to shelter at least two Soquili.

Into the forest she went. The trees were sparse, there were barely enough trees to be considered a forest, but they were enough shelter for the time being. She thought that the trees were prone to lightning bolts so she thought that it would be best to look for something else. She came upon a slab of rock. It was small, but she thought it was the best shelter available. She briskly trotted to the slab of rock as she felt the cold rain pelt against her hide. The rain has gotten heavier since the slight drizzle since she has entered into the forest.

Myoa blinked as a familar figure walked under the large rock. "Daisy!" Myoa smiled, happy to see her new friend again. She scooted over as much as she could, trying to make space.
Myoa shook herself like a dog, trying to dry her wet coat as best as she could. She was getting a chill, blasted rain. She wished there was a way to build a fire, or at least to get dry.

"Why hello Myoa," Daisy shivered and smiled. She inched under the rock. "Quite miserable weather we are having today, aren't we?" Daisy shivered again. Her winter coat has not started growing in the least so she still had her slick, summer coat that was susceptible to any unusually cold weather at this time of year. "I saw you flying in the sky, I'm glad you landed safely," She smiled.

Myoa sighed. "Yes, what started out as a light drizzle has turned into a full-blast thunderstorm!" She shuddered not wanting to remember her close landing. "Yes, thank you. It definitly was difficult just letting myself drop....Not to mention frightning!" She grimaced, thankful to be alive and without a scratch.

"By the looks of it, it sure looked frightening. It kind of makes me glad that I'm stuck on the ground. I mean, it must be amazing to fly, but I have a fear of heights," Daisy giggled. She watched the rain fall. It was sure pounding out there. Thunder boomed and Daisy winced slightly. She then looked at Myoa and giggle slightly to lighten the mood of this dreary day. "Loud thunder scares me when I don't expect it. Heck, it scares me even when I do expect it. I guess I'm just jumpy like that," She spoke again with a slight grin. Then she went back to watching the rain again.

Myoa nodded. "I understand your feelings, but truthfully, I cannot live with flying. If I ever lose my wings....I'm afraid I'll lose much, much more." She laughed gently with Daisy. "Yes, thunder may be loud and surprising, but to me, it's music. It sitll scares me at times, but I appreciate it." She smiled, and watched the raindrops skitter down from the sky.

"I guess I can see where you're coming from. Since you've always have had wings and all. So I guess you cannot imagine yourself without your wings." Daisy said and grinned slightly. She peered up at the sky and saw lightning bolts dancing across the sky. "Thunder, I don't care much for, but I enjoy watching the lightning dance across the dark sky," She spoke as she was still glancing up the sky and admiring the lightning.

Myoa smiled. "Yes, just like how I have eyes. I cannot imagine myself not able to see, yet I know a erm good friend who is blind, and manuevers himself quite well." She blushed slightly as her thoughts strayed to Degewi.
"Yes, lightning is beuatiful as well..." She smiled as she watched a graceufl stream of lightning streak across the sky.

"Blind, eh? That must be hard to live with, but eventually, their other senses get stronger and stuff. I've heard also that some blind creatures can see shadows, or sense movement," Daisy nodded. She watched the lightning dance across the sky. It was simply beautiful. "Though the lightning is fun to watch, I'd sure hate to be struck by it,' she giggled and continued watching the pouring rain and lightning.
