You can draw an extra card but, unless it is a land, you will lose life really fast. With it, I would die before I could win. scream

Dark Confident is for those kind of decks that like accellerated draw. It's vaguely like Phyrexian areana, and I'm sure that Terry Soh had ideas that it would be similar to that.
However, with cards like Seizan Bringer of the Black Dawn, I don't think I'll be siding with the Dark Confident any time soon.

it needs to have the option to do so. saying you may do it during your upkeep instead of you will do it.

Obersturmbannfuehrer Chii Dark Confident is for those kind of decks that like accellerated draw. Sweet mother of mystery. It's another Necropotence on legs. Now, see, card advantage is indeed sweet, but despite the nasty drawback, a 2/1 won't last long at all. Draw your card, then swing. He gets blocked and kills a weenie or he doesn't block and you smack for two. Or he gets Shocked.
A card like this... just what I need. Just what Suicide Black needs.

Leise Nacht Sweet mother of mystery. It's another Necropotence on legs. Now, see, card advantage is indeed sweet, but despite the nasty drawback, a 2/1 won't last long at all. The highest cost spell of most Suicide Black was Hatred, at 3BB. Second highest was BBB, for Phyrexian Negator. The rest was all 2 and under. So at best, you're playing Night's Whisper each turn. But the card advantage will help to no end and it's a weenie of itself. It won't last long.
