Katha appeared in the Abyss... her home realm... a realm she had not seen in over three centurys. She had thought she had left this dark place behind her, but it seems the darkness is where a vile creature as herself should be.

She walked along the desolite landscape towards a dark, sinister castle off in the distance... a tear streamed down her face...

"This is for the best... Travis will find someone to love, someone he deserves... and forget about a monster like me..."

Katha whispered to her self as she let her body shift into it's true demon form.

While still mostly slender, Katha grew to ten feet tall, her skin turned a deep shade of violet and her eyes began to glow blood red. Her hands and feet grew claws and her horns sprouted out as did her tail and demon wings...

"This is my form... and this is where I must stay... in this vile, dark, place... for all time..."

Katha was now inside the dark castle, demons of every shape and size filtered through her. Many stopped and took note of Katha but none approached her. Very few would every wish to trifle with a full demon of royal blood. So Katha walked on towards the tallest tower with in the dark castle, many demons scampering out of her way and the unfortunate ones who crossed Katha's path wer promptly behead as Katha walked by... At this moment in time, Katha cared for none... she was becoming devoved of her once pleaseant nature and was slowly becoming the demon her former father would've have loved to call his daughter... on she tredged...

The demons surrounding Travis were rather shocked.... none had expected a gold dragon to enter their realm... let alone one who would be able to over power them... they were becoming wary about attacking this one, for if the fell here... they would not rise again...

The demon in Travis' grasp stared at him with fear at first but upon hearing the question the came from the half-dragon's lips, his look of fear became a look of confusion...

"You seek Princess Iquphillianne? What need do you have with her?"

Back in the dark citidel, Katha finally reached the highest tower in the castle... her chamber, as it were. It had not changed since her last visit here, not that it surpirsed her. No demon dared challenge her with the realm. Here she was ruler, here she commanded power above all other demons that reside within the citidel...

Katha sat in a chair the was pointed at one of the windows and gazed out over the horrid landscape... this was to be her new home... her prison...

The demon in Travis' hand was shaking visably, fear evidently etched upon his face. The demon tried vainly to remove his neck from Travis' hand...

"The princess appeared sometime ago. She resides in the citidel, all demons knows of her arrival..."

Staring out over the damned land that was now her home... her self imposed damnation... Katha felt hollow inside...

From the chamber's door came the sound of knocking drew Katha's attention. A lesser demon entered the room then promptly bowed before Katha. The demon looked up at Katha...

"My Lady... to what honor do we owe your visit?"

The demon asked Katha with a tone that had repsecpt within it.

Katha glared at the demon evily, she was in no mood to speak with any one and that usually meant death for any who was foolish enough to cross her path her. However, Katha was also not in the mood to attack anyone. She just wanted to be left alone...

"Leave me be, you lowly vermin. I do not wish to be bother."

The demon bowed low and quickly put his hands up as he returned to his feet,

"I mean not to cause you an err, My Lady, It is just that you rarely grace us with your presence... If there is anything I can do, please let me know Princess."

The dark castle was now within a few strides of Travis. It seemed some defenses were being rallied and that the news of the half-dragon's search had reached the dark citidel. Never the less, battle was on the verge of breaking out...

A new feeling was gripping the demons of the Dark Citidel, a feeling they never accpeted to feel within their own realm... panic. Before them was the half-dragon who had been causing so much mayham within the realm... the being that was seeking out their princess who had finally returned to them. She would not be taken without a fight...

"Yes, you can leave! Your "princess" wishes to be left alone. Now GO!"

Katha snarled at the demon who bowed in kind and made as if he were about to leave...

"If may ask one thing before I depart... is your return to this realm a sign that you are taking up the throne that has so long been empty? Has the mortal world finally become too much for you to bare, your grace?"

Unbeknownest to Katha,this "lesser" demon was actually baiting her, using her to Further his onw goals... much like all who reside within this realm...

Katha continued to glare at the demon... she did not want to admit it but what the demon was speaking rang tru eto her at the moment. Life in the world of light was becoming increasingly difficult. How long had it been since the last time Katha feasted upon a soul the she stole from someone's body? When was the last time Katha gave into her darker self and did not try to be someone she was not... to her brother's credit, he had shown her a world that she thought she would never see. She was met people no other demon could say they have met without coming to conflict... even with all these accomplishments, her life in the light has always been a struggle for her. She would never show it in the pagoda... but this was not the pagoda...

The "Lesser" Demon smirked inwardly, he could parctically see the lines of doubt being sown in Katha's heart. Having a demon princess under his control would prove most benefical to his gain in power.

"You knew, didn't you? You knew life with the mortals would be hard, painful even. Your rightful place is here, ruling over all you see. Your father's throne remains empty, merely waiting for to claim it once more. This realm is yours by right, My princess... no, my Queen."

The Demon bowed low before Katha...

The battle that was waging at the gates was growing more desperate. Greater demons began to come forth, trying to bare Travis' path. The battle was becoming more intense as more and more demons began to approach Travis.

Katha began to gaze at the Demon; in her current state of emotional turmoil, She did not notice the demon's taint entering her mind and beginning to change her...

"This realm would fall before your feet with the mere utterance of one word. Say you will take the thrown and all the demons of the this realm will be yours to command..."

The demon ros from his bow and continued to gaze at Katha as he tried to slowly take over her mind.
