I'm sorry if this has already been said.
Do you ever notice how in anime, the characters hair rarely changes?
I mean, it stays in the same kind of hairstyle forever o.o it's like it's stuck there.
For example, if any of you know Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho? Those two strands of hair that hang over his shoulders are never behind his shoulders? The same goes for Inuyasha, those two random peices of hair are always there.
I'm not complaing or anything, just noting. As I was thinking of this, I tried to think of the animes that did have changing hair styles.
The only I could think of was Fruits Basket, lol. Tohru's hair changes at times, it doesn't always stay in the same place.
Does anyone else know of a character in an anime that has changing hair?

well i can't think of any amines that have changing hair styles, well other than when they get blow up, after they are in a fight, or diliberatly change it to discise themselves..... but not only do the hairstyles rarely change, but the clothes as well........... eww! sweatdrop

Other than the occasional wearing it up/down which happen for special events in most anime. (IE sailor moon, fushigi yugi, cowboy bebop, ect.)
I can think of one, where it's a very obvious change, Hana Yori Dango(Boys over flowers). Several of the main characters cut/style their hair differently and stays that way for the rest of the show.
Also in Ayashi no Ceres about mid show aya cuts her hair and it stays that way for the remainder of the series.
And in Card Captor Skaura you usually see their standard hair styles but, they do change them episode to episode (Sakura and Tomoyo at least, Tomoyo more so than Sakura)
And to takle dark stars point about clothes, school uniforms not included they wear different outfits all the time in Sailor moon, Card Captor Sakura, Oniisama e(brother dear brother), hana yori Dango, Ayashi no ceres, devilman lady (Devil lady here) and there are others.
It's not so much with the newer anime I notice though. I wonder if it's a budget thing a charcter constantly wearing the same clothes is way cheaper to animate than one who constantly changes.

I wonder if it's a budget thing a charcter constantly wearing the same clothes is way cheaper to animate than one who constantly changes. to be honest i had forgotten about cc sakura.... her battle outfit changes for like every show lol..... and.. well sailor moon.... i guess it has been a while becuase if definatly don't remember to many changes other than their transformations...... as for the others.... well this is the first time i've heard of them to be quite honest, but i'll definatly see if i can find a few episodes for referance ^^

What DOES she use to keep it like that? I mean, besides the fact that she was built by Washu and all that, her hair...so perfect...all the time.
Why can't MINE be like that?!

ARGH! There is one anime character that changes her hair a lot and I can't remember it....its driving me nuts...
Oh, and:
Sakura (Naruto) cuts her hair.
Ninamori (FLCL) cuts her hair.
OMGz Shinsen (Speed Grapher) has like...the WEIRDEST hair...and IT.NEVER.MOVES.

yeah, in Negima the hair changes alot. The girls put it up and style it alot. 3nodding
In Fullmetal Alchemist, Riza's hair changes when she puts it down. whee

in fancy lala, miho changes her hair when she transforms from a kid into lala. Im not sure if that counts as she is transforming from a kid into a teenager. Although when she is lala, she does photo shoots and music videos and changes her hair all the time from short, to short and spiky and sometimes she has extensions biggrin

In School rumble they change the hair style few times for somekind special reason, but they usually change back after a minute.
For example Sawachika Eri changes her hair to one ponytail when she is doing sports. Yakumo changes her hairstyle once, but changes it back, Tenma put her hairs strands to 9 o'clock position when she wants to remember something happening 9 o'clock... there are probably more but those are what i can think of...

Its fine. I read this of kind the same topic about anime not changing their clothes and all, maybe its cool that way. Each Anime characters need to maintain their own traits.

That is the way anime is. In some anime, they never change their clothes.
