So, I saw this article on a forum sometime ago, and I decided to dig it up, and see see if anyone here can tell how legitimate it is. There's where a few others, but those seemed to be outdated, with sources from 1987. However I'm not sure about the one above. Also:

http://www.familyresearchinst.org/FRI_homokids.html

Another study on children of homosexual parents. However, this seems to just prove what we say, that the greatest problems are with how society deals with them. The older subjects of this study don't exacly provide the best source of information for today... And a few came from disfunctional homes, so the parent's sexual orientation isn't exacly the main cause.

So, yeah, disuss these studies, and ways to counter them in case someone brings them up. sweatdrop

EDIT: ok, the guys at the rainbow connection discredited these:

First link:

The "core values" of that organization include:
- "Recognizes that there are absolutes and scientific truths that transcend relative social considerations of the day" (in other words, even if society accepts those darn homos, our "truth" says it hurts the kiddies!);
- "Recognizes the unique value of every human life from the time of conception to natural death";
- And last but definitely not least, "Recognizes the physical and emotional benefits of sexual abstinence until marriage and pledges to promote this behavior as the ideal for adolescence."

Also, according to Wiki, the organization was formed, just recently, solely as a response to the real Academy of Pediatrics' support for GLBT parenting.

Second link:

The Family Research Institute was founded in 1982 with one overriding mission: to generate empirical research on issues that threaten the traditional family, particularly homosexuality..." -- the esearch is done by Paul Cameron, who was kicked out of the APA. Linky

So, yeah, this thread became pretty much useless before anyone posted sweatdrop sorry about that. The information could be usefull tough.
