The white juve was near the water, she was growing into a beautiful lioness and she couldn't help but stare at herself in the water for hours. She was becomming somewhat vain but then whats wrong with looking at something that looks good?
She hadn't seen anyone for quite a while, she had taught herself to hunt and was attacking rocks to get her pouncing and springing attacks better then that of her brother. She was the best, always the best!

Ra had grown into a hulking adolecent, cub fat being reforged as sheer steely muscle. However he'd been careful not to overdo his training and maintained enough flexibility and speed as he needed to be able to hunt and fight efficiently. Still, he knew the time was coming when he'd get to finally leave the desert behind and see the world. His parents disapproved of the failure of the teachings but he wasn't so sure. Perhaps one day he'd come home to the sands, perhaps not, but either way, his future was looming and he was only too glad to meet it.
He made his way down to the waterhole at an easy trot, head held high. He was not royalty but he certainly held himself proud. He casually drank his fill before finally turning his gaze onto the other lion present, blinking when he recognised her from before. He smirked, sitting down.
"Hey."

She stopped staring at herself as she saw the larger lion heading her way and it took her a while to notice who the stranger was but she was all too pleased when she realised who it was.
She didn't say a word though not untill he did, she never spoke before spoken to, it was just her way of being.
"Hello there, haven't you grown into a strong guy now." She was however forward, alot.

Ra smirked. "Yeah I've grown, and spent most of my time till now hunting and training with my dad. Got to be strong now so I can use it later, the desert makes a good training ground." He glanced at his black fur and frowned. "Though it's heat isn't kind when you have dark fur."
He swished his striped tail. "You've grown too. Been up to much since I last saw you? I know I have.""

She listened intently and nodded, "I have been blessed with a white colour, it helps keep you a little cooler." She stretched and then sat down, her tail curling around her.
"I have been training, teaching myself to hunt and fight with what I can. Its not easy to do things on your own but its better then returning to my family for help." She thought about her family for a second then dismissed them. "You seem eager to tell of what you have been upto..."

Ra nodded, they were both colours not generally considered firekin in their nature, his only blessing of Finar-si being the red marks that curved like molten cracks across his black fur. "I'd take white fur anyday over this colour, it sucks up the heat and keeps it."
He tilted his head slightly at her comments of her training and smirked again. "Still determined that females will never be fighters? Or have you decided otherwise?"
He frowned, not wanting to seem too eager to talk about his journey ahead but at the same time bursting to tell someone, anyone.
"Noooo, I'm not /that/ eager."

She laughed, "I would happily swap colours with you anyday! At least yours are more firekin colours then mine, yours are dark... mines white!!" She chuckled, something that was a rarity.
"I don't believe females will ever be as good as males." That would be her final say on that matter.
She tilted her head slightly at him, "Go ahead, tell me then, you might burst otherwise!" She smiled, he was a strange one, nothing like his brother.

"It's settled then, as soon as I figure out how, we can swap fur, I'll be blinding white and you can be this horrible black." he grinned, showing his white fangs. However, his grin dissapeared again briefly as she once again denied any sort of species equality. It always made him wonder who had told her such a thing, but he didn't argue, knowing that he couldn't really win.
"Well, all right, since you /insist/" he said with a roll of his red eyes "I'm leaving."

She smiled as he spoke till he said the last two words.
"Leaving? Why? When?" He couldn't leave! She was the only one that she liked talking to, he couldn't leave her in this stupid place on her own, she would go mad or something!

"Why?" he said with a shrug of his shoulders "Well the teachings are dying, the blood is failing and Finar-si is nowhere to be seen. My parents don't like it anymore than I do." he grinned, barely able to conceal his excitement "So we are going to the place where my dad grew up, a boneyard, graveyard, whatever you want to call it. The sun won't make me overheat there and there are actual rouges out there, lions with fur all the colours of the world, not just red."
He held his head up high "We will be like kings amongst them, the blood giving us protection in their midst and our own strength letting us hold our own." he smirked "Here I will never be a leader, not born into some silly bloodline, but on the outside I will be me. I will be Ra and nothing else."
He looked away "We leave very soon. I'm kind of glad I found you when I did, if I hadn't, we might never have met again."

She listened, saddening as she did.
"I am sure you will be something great, its hard for you not to be, you look like a leader." She forced a smile onto her face.
"It would have been ashame not to have seen you one last time, your brother will be glad to see the back of me no doubt. I will probably be stuck here for the rest of my pitiful existance." She held herself reasonably high as she stood up, her head up, nothing about her looked sad or upset but then looks always were decieving and thats how things always were with this girl.
She turned and lapped up some water before ducking her head under, it was nice and refreshing.

Ra smirked "Nah, I was never really the leader type to be honest, but at least out there there'd be a /chance/ if ever I wanted it, here, well, here there's nothing for me." He bowed his head "But thankyou all the same, it means a lot to me."
At the mention of his brother, Ra looked uneasy. Naraka's opinions meant the world to him, and it was only now that he realised that his more intelligent brother probably wouldn't approve of him telling others about their leaving. Still, it was rude he figured not to at least say something.
"You don't have to stay here you know, you could leave too."

Ny listened, she smiled as he spoke, he was so honest.
"Leave? Where would I go? I'm not as big nor as strong as you are, I would be prey to others on my own, it would be suicide." She didn't look upon herself as being weak or stupid but she wasn't willing to risk her life, that just seemed stupid.
The thought struck her about following the brothers but no, that would be nearly as stupid as going on her own! Naraka would kill her instead!

"Weeelllll." he said "You could always tag along with us. I mean, Nar might not like you but it'd only be for the journey to the new home, then you wouldn't have to be near him." He played with the sand with a toe "Though it's up to you, you could stay here. But if you did come, I'd keep an eye out for you, make sure no harm would come to you. I know dad would too."

Ny listened to the proposition. Would the lion in front of her protect her from his own brother though? Well there was only one way to find that out.
"Ok then. I shall come with you. An adventure sounds good and I expect there will be more places where I can train out there..." One day she would like to fight Ra, not to the death but just to test her strength, his size and weight would give im an advantage, but if he were around, she could always challenge him.
