There are currently TWO pet peeves about the Breedables that Maru has:
1) Every time Maru comes up with an idea for a lineart auction and gets a couple stages done, she spots a lineart auction that features nearly the EXACT SAME THING she was about to work on. crying It's happened twice already, too~ T-T
2) Crappy Breedables for High Prices. Many people notice, "HAY! I can makes ze m0nies wiff ze petsies!" Too bad they don't realize that it's the quality of the lineart AND coloring AND shading that counts. I've felt like poking my eyes out several times at the FSs and auctions I've seen. crying
...okay, I lied. There's three.
Third pet peeve? STRIPES. Triangles do NOT count as tiger stripes. Drawing a pet with stripes and then changing its color from orange to white and saying, "EEE IT'S A WHITE AND ORANGE TIGER!" should NEVER, EVER COUNT AS TWO SEPERATE TIGERS. Also, taking Adobe's "stripes" pattern and slapping it on a breedable and saying it's a Zebra NEVER EVER EVER EVER counts, either! It looks cheap, horrid, and above all, FAKE.
For the love of Tigers, Zebras, Okapi, Bongos and other striped critters, google them, examine their stripes, learn their stripes, and draw their stripes by hand please. You'll make the world a happier place for Maru if you do.
...That's it for me for now. >w>
