On page 331 of twilight while edward is explaining carlisle past to bella he says:
"His father was an intolerant man. As the Protestants came into power, he was enthusiastic in his persecution of Roman Catholics and other religions. He believed very strongly in the reality of evil. He led hunts for witches, werewolves... and vampires."
In twilight we find out vampires are real, in new werewolves and in eclipse...
EDIT: I just had another thought, what if bella became a witch? would she be able to be friends with werewolves and vampires then? Sort-a like a peace keeper.

who would it be though? most of the time you think of witches you think of them as mean, but there isn't anyone really mean to Bella. sooooo who knows.

Jessica has been traeting her like crap lately though. But i don't know the thought of witches is a little to much i think. Think about it there are already werewolves and vampires. Does anyone else think that would be to many "fictional" characters.

Hmm.... intresting theory, but I don't think so... It'd be too much, besides as far as I know there is no ill feelings towards witches on either side so there wouldn't be and good conflict. Also, It was thought back when Carlisle was still human that witches excisted... I think she just added it just to add it. *shrugs* who knows though, it's not my book. *cries*

It's a good theory considering she did the same thing with werewolves, but I don't think so. Back in the 1600's they had witch hunts all the time often killing innocent people because they dressed differently.

Yea.. I don't think I'd like it if they put in witches I mean I guess it's too much and it doesn't seem like Twilight woul be Twilight with witches, but whatever. stare

I was on teh chat with Stephenie and kept hinting at witches..xD I highly doubt they'll be some.
I asked the others to ask her (because I was meaning to, but then she signed out) when she signs back in.
We say Angela is a witch..xD
But I think it's just kind of added in there because that was what was going on.
