How do you know it's a fake? I haven't read the manga at all, only the Kakashi Gaiden - thingy.

hm, 1.well, the art style for one, if you look at that image and images from the manga there should be a few subtle differences.
2. We could all be wrong and it might not be a fake, simply a random sad attempt at humor Kishimoto-san calls an Omake piece. But this is most likely wrong since Naruto has some good amounts of humor in it.
3. In reality, none of us have proof of that unless Seiyuuki-chan or someone else can find the original source of that image.
and 4. I WANNA READ THE KAKASHI GAIDEN ARC! gonk But that was irrelevant.
There you have it, and if anoyne could find more reasons excluding the irrelevant #4 I'd love to see them because I couldn't think of anymore sweatdrop
