One day out of the sands and already she was stuck in some place where she didn't know where she was and when she was and what time of freaking day it was. Khepri couldn't even see the stars or the sky at all, how the heck was she supposed to even tell what time of day it was?
"Wha's wit' all these stupid trees anyway?" Khepri snapped, her tail flashing over the ground as the dark tip of her tail drug in the dust. "Why there gotta be so many?"
The little ex-Firekin female glared all around at the trees and whined faintly because she was lonely and cold and wanted to find the Ela' as fast as she could. ninja

Uhuru crouched under a leafy bush. Dinner was skittering along infront of him and he was getting mighty hungry. There was whinning and talking somewhere nearby, but he was concentrating so hard he didn't hear it well. The rodent flicked around in the dirt and Uhuru waggled his back end preparing to pounce. It stopped breifly and Uhuru lept out from under the bush and sunk his claws into his prey.
After the fleeting feeling of success filled him, he looked up and noticed that the dark "rodent" was conected to a dark larger creature. "This can't be good..."

Pain flashed through her and she let out a high pitched squeal of pain, ripping it away from the offending claws that had hurt it so.
Whimpering lightly she licked at the dark puff of fur at the end of her tail and she smoothed it out slowly before she looked up at the white and purple cub before her.
The juvenile lion pulled her eyebrows together sadly, "Can Ah help yo'?" Khepri asked quietly. ninja

Uhuru looked at his paws as the tail was pulled out from under them and then back at the juvenile's face as it spoke to him. "Umm...You know that thing connected to you that I just caught? Yea..can I eat that? That was my dinner." He said with a small frown. Hunger was really starting to set in and his stomach gurgled at him in defience.

"Mah tail? No yo' can' eat mah tail. Ah like it where it is." Khepri said sternly as she stood and curled it around one of her hind legs. Just to keep it out of reach of him and be safe.
"Ah can help yo' get some food if yo' want though." She said simply, hoping it was an alternitate to eating her tail because to be honest she was a little hungry herself. ninja

He frowned as another gurgle could be felt and heard. "Too bad..I was awful hungry." He scoffed at her. "You? Help me? ...get food?" He couldn't hold back a chuckle which was cut off by a sharp hunger pain.
Caving in, he replied, "Well, I guess I could use your help.."

"Everyone needs help at some point. No use denyin' it." Khepri responded as she stood up slowly and walked over towards him with a soft sniff.
"What're yo?" She asked faintly, not wanting to insult the creature at all. ninja

Uhuru softly snorted at her. "I guess so."
He watched her walk towards him, frightened a little, but not too much. Nothing was that intimidating to him. "I am a leopard. I can't believe you've never met one like me. They're all over the jungle," he said even though he himself had met only one other leopard. "And what, pray tell might you be?"

"Ah've only been to the the jungle this one time. So how would Ah know wha' a leopard looks like?" Khepri asked bluntly as she looked around her.
There was always a part of her that knew where to find food. "Well, yo' live 'ere. Where'd yo' usually eat?" She asked at last. ninja

"I don't know. You just should." Someday every animal will know what a leopard as soon as they're born.
"I usually just eat whatever I can catch that happens to cross my path," he said haughtly. "It's just easier that way."

Khepri's mind thought over this for a long moment and the juvenile sat back on her haunches, frowning at the leopard for a long moment before letting that emotion wash off of her face and nodding. "Tha's a good way ta look at it eh? Ah kno' wha' it's like ta eat wha'evah's in fron' o' ya." At this she smiled, not responding to his statement that she should know anything at all. After all, how would he know what she should know and what she shouldn't? ninja

His stomach gurgled again and he was uninterested in her ideals. "Yes, yes, that's wonderful." He siddled up next to her. "But what really matters is what's for dinner and how y-I mean we are going to catch it." He flashed a wide smile at her hoping she would take it as an appreciatory gesture.

Leaning her head a little to the side at his statement, Khepri hid her amuzement at his words within her own mind and refrained from delving too hard into what he'd said. After all it would be rude and she had a feeling that he wouldn't take that too kindly. So she simply let it look like she were pondering his words before smiling and nodding her head to him. "Ah suppos' Ah could do wit' some food ta get meh where Ah'm goin' for the day." ninja

"Great! Now, where to begin!" He trotted a little ways in front of her and looked back expectantly. "Well come on! The female's the one that's supposed to do the hunting anyways," he said smuggly.
