Chamiyu rested upon the large stone and stretched her slender black body along the hot rock. She felt at peace and she couldn't help but smile as she looked around her. It has already been some time since she had settled in the valley of the Unity Walkers and she was already so comfortable. The lush emerald green forest sang its forest song around her and she had been dozing for the afternoon to its lullaby.

Then suddenly a familiar scent drifted to her and she lifted her head in anticipating excitement.

Mteuli moved through the forest with practiced ease, his swift motions almost silent among the lush amounts of greenery. His earthen coat didn't blend, but so familiar was he with his homeland he knew every rock and tree and could move about without being noticed. But he had no such desires today. On the contrary, he had plans of going to see someone special.

He slipped out from under a fern smoothly, coming into view with a wide smile. He loped over to stand by her rock, his emerald eyes sparkling, "Hello my dear!"

Chamiyu rolled herself over onto her stomach and she grinned down at Mteuli with her beautiful star-like smile. With ice-blue eyes twinkling with the melted warmth of seeing someone so special as Mteuli, Chamiyu greeted softly in pleasant surprise, "Mteuli!" Just saying his name made her stomach squeeze with anticipation, "How are you? I haven't seen you at all this morning. What brings you here to this old stone?"

"What wouldn't bring me here?" He said with amusement and a light swish of his tail. His smile was a knowing one, as though there was a secret that was his alone. He circled around the rock idly, his movements slow and graceful. "I thought...perhaps you'd be up for a little outing...?" he purred, raising the fur above his eyes hopefully. He was going to assume, of course, that she'd come with him...but he had high hopes for how they could spend the afternoon.

Chamiyu felt her heart flutter when Mteuli asked her and she grinned again at him in her placeful way. Then, looking bored and lazy, as if she had other things planned, she rolled again onto her back and blinked at him slowly, "Well...Hmm...I don't know...I was planning to sun-bathe a bit more...Uh..." Then in a burst of motion she snapped herself upright and agreed, "I don't think you'd have to ask! Of course, I will, Mteuli. That would be most pleasant."

Mteuli couldn't help but grin back at her in a most charming fashion, feeling relieved. He had almost thought, for a moment, that she was going to reject him. Almost. He felt a swell of excitement and anticipation at her answer. And he knew just where to take her too! "Well, what kind of gentleman would I be if I didn't ask the lady first?" He teased affectionately, not regretting his mannerisms in the slightest. You could never be too careful...he'd never lead himself to believe something when he wasn't truly sure of it himself.

"You would be a gentleman who's able to read my mind." Chamiyu countered, carefully slipping down from her perch on the rock to bump affectionately against the lion's fur. She was excited! What new place would he take her next? She couldn't wait. "So...Where are we going, Mteuli?"

"Ah, but reading minds is no fun," Mteuli said in mock offense, "I'd much rather try my luck at guessing." His tone had lowered to become a husky rumble at the last bit as he offered a sly grin in her direction. He nudged the side of her face with his nose in admiration before taking a stride or two forward away from the rock that had been her perch. "Well, sweet," he informed her cheerily, "I'm afraid that's a secret at the moment."

"They I say, good luck with guessing." Chamiyu smiled back at him as she trotted forward to catch up with the lion. The way the lion moved, the way his muscles ripped underneath his fur, fascinated the black lioness. Noticing that she was looking at him appreciatively, Chami thanked the fact that he wasn't looked at her then. Rubbing up against him so they walked side by side and touched flanks for several painstakingly slow moments, Chamiyu replied, "A secret? Will I have to close my eyes?"

Mteuli was almost painfully aware of every single place where their bodies met. He stifled a purr, wondering if she knew the effect she had on him. It was almost like she was tempting him, yet he wasn't sure he'd let himself believe such a thing at this point. Not yet. "No," he chuckled, struggling to keep his voice and responses in the normal smooth and fluent form that they always had. Was it actually getting hard for him to do so? Now that was something that had never happened before. "But you won't be able to actually see it until we get there...thanks to all these trees."

Chamiyu purred in excitement, her heart thrumming like a drum. She felt so safe and secure around Mteuli, she felt young, childish and giddy and she wanted to be with him for as long as possible. When she was alone, she couldn't stop thinking about him. Everything she looked at reminded of him in some way. She felt...She knew what was happening, but at the same time she didn't. And her heart burned with the ache to tell him. But...What if he didn't return those feelings?

"So it's somewhere with a lot of trees." Chamiyu concluded in a mocking, playful tone. She moved her ears back and slunk close to the ground in an adventrous manner, "An adventure!"

Mteuli understood what was happening, though he had never experienced such a thing before. He only knew because...he had whitnessed it in others and he had always been strongly aware of the feelings he held and those that belonged to those around him. And yet with Chamiyu he couldn't bring himself to jump to conclusions, to assume, no matter how much he wanted to.

He laughed comfortably, loving her enthusiasm...among other things, "Well, yes...and adventure...though to be honest that wasn't the atmosphere I was aiming for." The words themselves were suggestive, but not enough that any intent was blatently obvious.

For one moment, Chamiyu turned to Mtueli and looked him straight in the eyes, her icy blue orbs, into his emerald green ones. She knew what he meant, and she could now see how he felt. And hopefully...Maybe, he could see in her eyes how she felt as well. She agreed with his feelings, she knew what was happening, and she was willing to just let it happen.

Smiling a truely sincere and adoring smile, Chamiyu said gently, "I know now what you're aiming for..." And she nuzzled into his cheek with her nose, trying to get the message across for it was just too hard to say.

When they're eyes held for that moment he felt a warmth spread through his heart and then through his body that couldn't be explained. You couldn't describe a feeling like this to anyone who hadn't felt it before. If he didn't know better he would have thought it unearthly. But he understood and it gave him all the more hopes to get them to the spot he had in mind, if only where it could be private.

He felt himself smiling in return, almost a little too much as her charm worked wonders on him. He managed to turn his head slightly to lick the top of her nose with affection before he murmured softly, "Ah but...we're not yet there. Come."

Chamiyu hesitantly licked back, entirely new to this new way of acting. She smiled at him, her blue eyes calm and happy. She didn't think that her life her at the valley was going to get better. But here it was...Getting more better than she could've ever hoped to imagine. Could it possibly get any better than this?

"I will come," She answered, stepping forward to signal her eagerness to get to this place of wonderful secrecy.
