Darshendros the Eternal

Malevolent Sex Symbol

The area where the necropolis once lay is now a massive black crater, as if the gods themselves smited this area. It is littered with bones of various sizes and shapes.

Nothing remains here anymore except the residual effects of the dark magic that saturated the area and some aimlessly wandering - and starving - zombies.

A kilo diesal submarine surfaced along the coast of the Northernlands, the poison of the land was washed by the tide before being absorbed into the ocean. A trade off, the waters nearby were corrupted but the coast was cleansed of the poison that washed in from inland. A box was raised from the interior of the submarine via electric lift platform. It was place on a collapsable boat and rowed to shore by four men, none of them had flesh, they were machines, full prosthetic bodies.

There was a culvert among the cliffs, and a small shore that served as a landing zone. The box was deposited 50 meters in land, and a timer was set. The men rushed back to the landing craft and returned to their submarine, which dove back into the poisoned brine, gone.

A few minutes later the timer popped, the wooden slapped the ground, revealing a glass pod in a metal stand. The glass cracked, then shattered, releasing a liquid that smelt like paint thinner. A brown slime gurgled loosely as it slid from the broken glass and spread like flat puddle along the tainted ground. Hatred, evil, death, all absorbed into the brown slug flesh, the creature expanded quickly, but instead of growing uncontrolably, it took form.

A product of the research facility in Yaits city. The shape of a withered old man stood alone, brown slugs diving through his rotted flesh like dolphins through water. The moving brown swirls animated him as lower body melted into a brown glob. A 30 kilometers per hour, his slug bottom moved forward while holding his slimey slug eaten torso upright. If Darsh expected a mortal emmisary, he would be in for a surprise.

The old man groaned with a dim-witted smile as a slug slid over it's lip and down his chin before diving into the loose flesh hanging from his neck. The creature had teeth filed into razor sharp cones. A forked tong slithered between them. It looked left, then right, with a twisted grin as the disembodied woman unleashed her wail. It said nothing, bowing respectfully before the disembodied hag. A guide to Necropolita wasn't necessary, but the creature, experiment SHZ # 3276, would follow nonetheless. It had strict orders to be polite.

The creature had a hard time making it to the tower, not a hard time in the sense that a mortal human might have. No, this thing, had a hard time stifling it's urge to feed off the misery and despair that rose from the grave laden earth. It fed, gaining strength, but not to much, it didn't wish to absorb and multiply, it was ordered not to. Unlike the other slugs, this beast had a brain, a human brain that kept it's other urges in check.

It scanned the temple grounds for gaurds before approaching the entrance.

"Knock knock," it said, in a deranged voice, half laughing at it's strange attempt at being polite, "Knock knock."

As the creature gasped, its voice sounded like air hissing through rusty pipes.

"And a most welcoming place it is, but trust me, I am much more than an ambassador. You are disgusted by my presence, no mind, such sentiments entertain me. I suppose you could say I am an undead chimera of sorts, but the energy that feeds me comes from the master. You have already met him once, at the ruins of Sorrow's Keep. I must admit he was most unimpressed with the raid on Latent, from a military standpoint, though he is grateful nontheless. If it wasn't for Latent, the master would have had so much more trouble gaining the recognition he deserves, and he would have never collected such valuable samples, the ones that give us such incredible resistance to the flame. But I go on and on, how goes things in the Northernlands, Necropolita certainly looks quite... appetitizing."

SHZ # 3276 licked its lips and took a deep breath, his one brown eye twisted upwards until nothing but the bloodshot white was showing. On the other eye disintigrated into an empty socket crawling with slugs before regenerating, darting back and forth across the room.

"If there is a need for master, he will come shortly, if there is a need," it gasped.

Darsh
There is a reason he sent you though, yes?

"I will be blunt, master wishes the forces of Necropolita to join him in picking apart the bloated carcass of the Gaian Republic. Master wouldn't put it that way, he's a much better diplomat than I, but, that is the way I see it."

The thing paused, running a skeletal finger through its long hair. Its human head was bald at the top, but the hair at its side ran down to its shoulders in greasy lengths of dark brown. It reached inside its gut and pulled out a rolled map, flattening it on the nearest table or other hard surface. The goo from the creatures inside made the map stick fast. It outlined Gaia, the Northern lands in dark grey, Ymiristan in orange, the Aekea region in purple, the gaian republic in green, the mythril mountains and Lament in dark green, and the Strata region in yellow.

"As you can see, the Northern lands provides quite inadequate living space for the undead. Lament would be far more valuble as a necroplis than a city of the living, don't you agree? The undead would yield you enomorous profits in the obsidian mines. Master will make the city yours, and give you the control of the mountains that comes with it if you are interested. Master would like to provide you with advanced technology as well, and sees great potential for....... trade, between us. Does this interest you?"

"That is very sensitive technology," the thing said, "It is something still within the early stages of development. The master calls them War Walkers, the prototype walks on two legs, has no arms or torso, and mounts a 30mm vulcan cannon and two 155mm howitzer cannons on its cabin. They would be vulnerable around the legs to any missile fire, and are probably not fully suited to close combat, but they can be automated so as to be operated by undead pilots if you'd like several units.

There are also units we call soldeir tanks, they are equiped with nuclear engines and laser weaponry and have armor three times as resistant to penetration when compared to an M1A1 tank. They don't move fast, but are capable of a one time thrust forward or jump of about fifty meters. We have three proto-types of the soldeir tank which we are testing, but these were to be piloted by the living. We have also modified a number of conventional tracked armor to merge with undead conciousness and thus become, automated units; why not consider those?"
