Ewansiha had woken with the dawn and made his way down the rocky path from the guest caves to the freedom of the grasslands. He wanted to see the kind Tufani again, later. Now he wished to stroll, drink and bask in the sun. He found a rock by the boarders upon which to lay and had been there a good hour or so.

It was quickly becoming a habit of his, to travel on the boarder. Sometimes he'd step over it, and revel in the freedom that stepping over the boundaries gave him. Over them he knew his mother could have no control over him, over them he knew that his brother could no longer irritate him. It was a freedom that Ezeoha was becoming more and more tempted to take every day. One day he would walk across it... and never return. One day.
He happily skipped from one side of the boarder, to the other, a goofy grin on his face. Ezeoha was a cub again, his mind not solely focused on the flirtations that he troubled himself with every day. There were no females around that were receptive to his attentions, and so he had dropped attempting to woo them for the moment.
It made him happy to see a male in the distance, someone who he didn't have to flirt with, someone he wasn't tempted to woo. He pranced over, unsure whether the lion was awake or asleep. Well, he might as well give it a try. "Hello there."

He raised his head, a slight shake causing his shock of red mane to fall into place again. A quick study of the other male caused him to smile - what had he been saying to the black-white lionness last night, about beautiful Pridelander golds and creams? The other cat looked like he belonged out here in a way Ewansiha never could. Natural. Camoflagued.
"Hello." An easy smile was offered, and his tail flicked happily. After travelling alone for so long, it was nice to see creatures of his own kind.

Ezeoha was, for a few minutes, filled with envy at the sight of the older lion. His mane was a wonderful red, and the black beneath his eyes made the blue of his eyes pop out. His white pelt was absolutely startling, and gorgeous. Why couldn't he have such a wonderful array of colors? Why did he have the be the subtle gold and cream that most Pridelanders wore?
"I'm Ezeoha, nice to meet'cha!" He said enthusiastically, pushing back his envy to smile broadly up at the older lion. At least he was considerably friendly, and didn't seem too bothered with Ezeoha's sudden appearance.

"Pleasure's all mine. I'm Ewansiha."
He bowed his head a little, and got down from the rock. He'd had a growth spurt recently, in both height and weight, and found it odd to be looking down - even just a little bit- at someone. Atleast, he reflected, he wasn't awkward with his body and could get off the rock with grace. He'd hate to embrass himself in front someone within minutes of meeting them.
"But most people call me Ewan. You're a pridelander, aren't you?"

Ewansiha. He liked the name, and thought it suited the other lion pretty well. It was exotic, which could easily be used to describe Ewan's distinct coloration. Maybe if Ezeoha had a more abnormal name females would be more attracted to him... But, no, that couldn't be the case. Females were attracted by appearance, and Ezeoha didn't doubt that Ewan had quite a few good experiences with the opposite gender.
"Yes, I'm a pridelander." Of course, he didn't think he was going to be one for all that much longer. But, at this point in time, he was most definitely a pridelander. He didn't see the importance of the question, but he was willing to answer it none-the-less. "Where are you from, Ewan?" He liked the nickname too, short and sweet.

"I grew up in the Mistweaver valley, but I'm a rogue. I'm not really from anywhere." Lucky Ezeoha. He'd a home here, in these rich lands and a den to return to in the magnificent Pride Rock. Ewan envied him. All those other lions around...and lionnesses! Maybe he was even bethrothed to one already. Ewan had heard some prides did that...
"I wander around the world, little king." Ezeoha, the 'peoples king'. Ewan hoped he wasn't really a prince of the pride, else he'd probably been very rude so far. Don't you bow low to royalty, or some such thing?

Ezeoha liked the sound of that. What could be better than being a rogue? One had no restrictions, and there were plenty of rogue females to meet up with during one's travels! There were no bossy mothers, no evil fathers, no irritating siblings... It was the definition of freedom! The cub's vibrant red eyes seemed to glaze over as he fell into daydreaming what it would be like to travel. "That's awesome," he managed to say, though it was very un-Ezeoha like. Usually when he said something, it was more elegant and had more purpose to it.
The cub blinked at being called a 'little king', and then smiled. He was third generation royalty, and no where close to inheriting the Pridelands. He had a lot of family to squabble over with each other for the title of Queen or King. "I would love to do that, leave, and wander around the world like you do. It has to be fun, right?" He looked up at him with a wistful smile.

Blue eyes were practically aflame, half-closed, with his own daydreams as his pride envy burned away. He may not have inherited much red colouring from his mother, but in him the wanderlust of Rahima was doubled. It took him a few minutes to snap out of it, leaving him feeling very foolish.
"Oh it can be very fun, but very dangerous too. I was your age when I started journeying and I must have been hunted nearly to death several times. But even that's exciting, somehow, and you see so much. Meet so many creatures. I'm here because I met a pridelander lass near here....erm, perhaps you know her. Tufani?"
(Sorry, will have to get offline. Been discovered and I'm not supposed to be on teh computer so late. D'oh. Will reply in the morning. Thanks~!)

Ezeoha could feel the pull over the boarder going stronger and stronger with each passing second. Here was a rogue who spent his whole life revelling in freedom. Ewan seemed to have no problems with having no permanent home to stay at. This was proof that a life without a pride was worth it, was fun, and had its own rewards. He wanted so badly, now, to just get up and leave... not tell anyone and just disappear out of their lives.
Ewan couldn't possibly realize that he was tempting Ezeoha with the notion of becoming a rogue. "Yes, it does sound wonderful. I can handle any trouble, and seeing new lands and new places would fill me with wonder that I have not experienced before. It's so tempting..." His voice drifted away, mind flickering back to thoughts of a life without a home, without much responsibility, and with freedom.
"I recognize the name, and I may've seen her once or twice, but I haven't spoken with her. It's good that she gave you a place to stay, though. D'you know when you'll be off again?"
(Okay. :3 I shall wait for a reply from you! -dances happily-)

"Well, I did come hoping to find a distant, non-blood relative, but my host doesn't know of her. I'll be off as soon as I feel the need to go, but for now, I'd like to make some friends if I can." Truely, he'd got himself so lost not so long ago he'd not seen lions in ages and was so injured by a vulture it had taken him this long to find them again.
"Do you recognise the name Bakhti or Bahkti, as well?"
(Sorry it's so short, but yeah XD)

"How can they be a relative if they don't share the same blood?" Ezeoha was truely puzzled by this. He relatives were royalty on both sides, and certainly Mosi wasn't his relative because she didn't share the same blood. It was a confusing concept. How can one be considered family when they share no traits and no blood with the lions who are of the family? Ewan had introduced to him a brand new concept that he simply could not comprehend.
"Am I your friend?" The cub looked up at Ewan innocently, his red eyes large with the hope that Ewan would consider him a friend. Maybe then... Ideas were rolling through his head, and they were so vast and numerous he was likely to have a brain-fart.
Ezeoha frowned as the next question was posed. He mulled over it for a few minutes, trying to pick out the names of the lions he had met. "Yeah... I think, something similar to that." He wanted to help, truely, and that may mean that his mind was stretching to its limits to find the answers.

"Well, my mother and she were so close, they considered themselves sisters in spirit. Blood doesn't count for much. My eldest brother is cruel and monsterous, yet I probably have more in common with a stranger than with him." Now he was older, Nyekundu played on his mind. They were actually more alike than Ewan could know, in some ways.
"I probably have more in common with you, in fact. And yes, you're my friend and I'll be yours if you'll have me." He smiled, studying the golden male a second. It would be great to have a proper, male friend. Like another brother.

Ezeoha frowned, the concept that Ewan had placed before him floating in his head. Finally, he accepted it with a goofy little grin. Perhaps, if Ewan stayed long enough, Ezeoha could be his brother in spirits... or whatver Ewan had said. "I guess that's understandable. I'm nothing like the rest of my family, and we fight and argue more than we get along. My own daddy threatened me." He could make due without his family, and Ezeoha would not immediately regret leaving them to strike out on his own.
"I would very much like you to be my friend, and I'm glad I have more in common with you than your brother. In fact, you probably have more in common with me than the rest of my family!" He pranced over to sit by Ewan's side, his head tilted up so he would be able to see the larger male's face. One day he'd be that big, and then he'd have lots of kids who he would teach the art of flirtation to. They would love him and never think him a cruel father, and they wouldn't even mind having half-brother's and sisters. That was the future Ezeoha wanted, and the more he pictured it the more it seemed to become real.

"Never even /met/ my father. Or my only sister, for that matter. But the family I do know, they're not so bad. They travel as well, so maybe I'll bump into them again." His mother, he missed, and worried about because she was so alone. Nogea, however. Surely he was a big as himself now, is dear red twin? Strong and silent.
"Glad you're my friend, Ezeoha. Do you have a nickname I can call you? Not that your name isn't beautiful in full, just friends usually use nicknames, or at least they did where I came from."
