Name: Niyati
Guardian: Sethur
Gender: Female
Personality: She's relativly quiet (due to the fact that she only knows HIndi when she first gets here xD;; ) but sh'es still rather sharp and observant. She's dedicated to anything she does, and tries her best while doing it.
She's also rather shy, and can easily be cowed into doing something.
Appearance: Her skin would be more on the darker side, and she would have long, plaited black hair.
The tips of her fingers and her toes would be a bright red, and there would be a large dot on the center of her palms and on the tops of her feet.
Like so.
There would be a red dot where her 'third eye' is, and her eyes would be lined with black to empasize them and make them appear bigger. Her lips would also be the same shade of red.
Like so.

Her clothing and accessories would change as she grows up, starting from a simple sari to a full-out Bharatanatyam costume.
Thiiiis to Thiis (the two in red and gold standing in the back)
Costume consists of: Sari-like top, pants with 'fan', hair ornaments, earrings, nose ring, armbands, bangles, necklace, belt, anklets with bells.
Mannerisms:
- Her English is rather shaky even as she grows up, so she's not too familiar with slang and often reverts back to Hindi when scared or angry, and often spouts off many sayings (in Hindi).
-When she gets nervous she starts to gnaw on her lip

More costume refs:

...well, I cant find that many good ones that show the whole thing, but these video clips are really good for that and show how it moves and such =3
http://site.voila.fr/sridevinrithyalaya/videosolo.html
Good references for the jewelry and such
Note:
I am not sure what to put down, so I'll just make a note of ideas and suggestions here till I decide xD;
"Thirteen bells wasn't enough for you".
"Dance the time back".
"Dance your little heart out now."
"It crumbled around you."
"Not even time could stop you."

Niyati had been training under her guru for the past thirteen years, watching as one by one, her friends put on their arangetram and went out into the world as dancers.
Finally, finally, her dream of dancing on the stage, the focal point of tens, no HUNDREDS of people, came true.

On the day of her performance, she greeted her relatives and friends as they entered the temple she was performing at. She felt wonderful in her new costume, the bright colors and sparkling jewelry giving her confidence she didn't know she had.

As the last few straglers situated themselves on the benches, she climbed on the stage, and an unwordly hush fell over the audience as she began with her salute to the gods, her guru and the audience.

The instruments began playing. Her dance became more and more intricate as she pushed herself to another level. She became lost in the dance, and the music had become her own heartbeat. So absorbed was she in the dance, that she went into a trance, unaware of anything beyond the stage.

For what seemed like ages, she danced, until the music stopped. Her exhaustion finally hit her, and she stood still in her pose, chest heaving as she gasped for air, blinking furiously to get the sweat out of her eyes.

However, none of the expected applause reached her ears, and something about the performance hall seemed off. Was she horrible? Did she fail her guru and herself? What was wrong?

As her eyes cleared and refocused, she thought she was dreaming. There was no one sitting in the benches. For a second, she thought they all left, untill she saw the state of the rest of the room. Wood had rotted, the gold decorative gilt had peeled off, stone had crumbled, and everything was covered in a thick layer of sandy grey dust.

As she took a few tentative steps off of the stage, she wantched blankly as the planks on the stage gave out and collapsed, sending up a large cloud of dust. Her bare feet made no noise on the floor, save for the faint jingle of her belled anklets. The doors had rotted, and she was forced to climb over large obsticals as she made her way through the entryway.

Outside, things were much the same. Buildings had lost windows and doors, and tthe rotten remains of curtains and fabric fluttered wearily in the sharp wind. The wind made a low moaning sound as it passed through the empty streets and buildings, and it gave the effect that the buildings were staring at her, asking her why this happened.

However, something caught her eye in the dull grey-brown surroundings of the city ruins. A bright, gleaming red train. Hugging herself tightly, she cautiously approached the train, eyeing it dubiously.

Her foot stepped on a piece of paper, the (relativly) loud crinkling sound snapping her out of her reverie. She picked it up and stared at it for a moment, before squaring her shoulders and stepping through the train's open doors, ticket clutched in a red-tipped hand.

Name: Sethur
Name meaning: Hid, destroying
Gender: Male
Race: God (of Destruction)
Age: xD Technically? Oldliekwoah. Physically? mid/late 20s '.'
Status: Taken, baybeeeee~
Appearance:
Height/Wieght: In the 6'3" area/unknown
Hair: White, ending just below his shoulders with the bottom couple of inches being red
Eyes: Black. blackblackblack. No whites. No irises. Just blackblackblack.
Other schtuff: His arms and legs are tinted red (starts at the elbow/knee and gradually fades into red) Has black claws where finger/toenails would be, three markings below his left eye and three above his right.
Personality: To most, he's usually cold and distant and reallyreally quiet, only speaking a few words when necessary. And to those veryvery few people who have managed to worm their way past that..
..well, he's still quiet, but he shows more emoshun xD;;
Job: Anything and sundry. Works at the Gaia branch of a company that kinda acts like the system in Naruto, customers come in and pay for someone to do a job, and they get paid. One stop shopping 8D He tends to do more of the harder jobs that no one else can really do well.
Powerrzzzz: At the moment? Pretty much none at all. He has incresed speed and veryslightly increased strength. Only in times of extreme danger/stress, or when the other gods deem it necessary will he regain abit of his old powers, and he can go smite joor arse x3
Likes: Rithe, quiet, cereal, scary movies
Dislikes: Annoying people, very loud things, having his reasons questioned.
Background: Sethur used to live with all of the gods, but not quite so happily, seeing that most of them were afraid of him (for good reason, he could completly obliterate them if they were thatannoying) so he pretty much stayed in his own little corner of the Godverse. Untill, yenno, the other gods thought it'd do him good to 'relax' abit. So they shoved him into Gaia, mostly powerless, and very annoyed.
If he was able to, there would be a large smackdown right then and there.
I R taller than j00. Ohwut.
Not usually this cute and cuddly.
Dreaming of spaghetti :'D

What is behind your blouse...?

"The biscuits were burning..." and gay, pretty, Australian boys!!!OHMY!

Niyati examined the waiting room, sandal flapping against her foot as she twitched it to an unheard melody. Her head turned towards the door every time it opened, hoping to see either of her guardians emerge from it, but to no avail. With an impatient sigh, she rearranged the folds of her sari (for she saw no reason, and was partially too lazy, to put on the dance costume she usually wore) and glanced at the clock. Well, wasn't that just like them? Be an hour late? Ah, well, they ARE working...But still-

"Can I help you?" the voice cut through her inner musings, shaking her back into reality.
"N-no, dhan'yavāda..." she stammered in response, trying to regain her composure. Her wide eyes flitted around the room, looking for the source of the interruption. "Aaah...no, I am...waiting for someone." she clarified, brushing the hair out of her face and smoothing her sari out when she saw that the speaker was a handsome young man, complete with sandy blonde hair, blue eyes, and a tan.
"Aah, well, then I might be able to help you," he said, "Y'see, I work here, so I can go find 'em for you, eh?" Niyati's brow furrowed as she mentally translated, struggling slightly with the man's accent. Ah... What to do, what to do? She'd been warned not to trust strangers, but she'd also offhandedly heard that the people here were good people, albeit slightly strange. Gnawing on her lip, she nodded, and dazzlingly-white smile appeared on the man's face.
"O-kay! So, who're you here for?" he asked, gesturing towards the door. Niyati stood up, clutching her hands nervously in front of her. "Sethur and Rithe.." she said quietly, nodding her thanks and smiling tentatively as he held the door open for her.

She walked down the hall a few steps, before realizing that he was following her no longer. "Is something wrong...?" Worries chased themselves around in her head. Had she done something wrong? Was it something she said? Her eyes widened and she began to gnaw on her lip again as she awaited an answer.

"How do you know them?" the man asked, a shocked expression on his face. With a sigh of relief and a small smile, she responded. "They are both my bāpa...ah...guardians? Parents?" She blankly stared at the man as he let out an incomprehensible gurgle and slumped against the wall.
"You mean they're...yanno?"
"Kyā?"
"Argh...yanno, gay?" He said, blushing furiously.
"...They are happy, yes." Her brow furrowed again. This man was confusing. "Are you feeling healthy? You are flushed."
"Nonono, yannooo..." He trailed off, and made a vague gesture that involved much writhing of his hands. "Relationship. Them."
Her eyes brightened in realization. "Of what kind?" Maybe not.
"Crikey."
"Pardon?" With a sigh, the man opened his mouth to explain, but he was unable to get the words out of his throat.
"...Hnnggggggg.." he finally managed, his face frozen into a mask of panic. Niyati frowned and followed his line of sight, smiling widely when she saw what he was looking at.
"Bāpa! Where have you been?" she scolded, shuffling over to Sethur and Rithe, the latter with an impossibly wide smile plastered on his face, the former's eyes narrowed into a glare. The strange man squeaked again and ran off down the hall in an odd hopping motion, before violently ripping the door to a closet open and slamming the door behind him, the quiet click of the lock sounding seconds after.
Niyati shot an accusing glance at the older man, who only shrugged and offered "The biscuits were burning..." as an excuse.
Yet another brow furrow.” He had biscuits?"
"Eeeh, never mind. Hey, that's a pretty sari you've got. Where'd you get it?" Rithe managed to choke out around a fresh bout of laughter, grabbing her by the elbow and steering her out of the building.
"Naaa, ippati, itu ceyyalakatu!" Niyati said crossly, letting herself be led on the path back to their house.
"I," Rithe responded in a mock-angered tone of voice, looking rather offended, "have done nothing. You are clearly confusing Seth and I. If anything, he's the trouble-maker."
This comment was greeted with a skeptical look and a glance over her shoulder at Sethur, who just shrugged. "Do I not know a sheep from an elephant? You are both crazy. And what biscuits were you talking of?"
"Did you hear that? She called me an elephant."
"Or a goat."
"Yes, that too."
"Stop with the neglect! Biscuits! What?!"
