There's an idea forming in my head, based on recent experiences at M&R...Maybe it's because I haven't been 'dolly rommy' in ages...

A day. A selected day where -all- the COM folk devote themselves to destroying the ignorance in M&R as a team. Co-ordinated efforts, alerts to new idiocy, and 24 hours of absolute relentless fact-checking and educated opinions.

Or, maybe I need some tea and a clothing change.

eek Sign me up. I'll be glad to help coordinate and fact-check... I'm not terribly articulate lately, though.

This sounds like an excellent idea! I'm afraid I'm not particularly knowledgeable about most of the things that get debated in M&R, but I can recognize idiocy when I see it and send the more experienced Modists to fix it. Sign me on as your rambling, gambling quack-thread finder. sweatdrop

*holds up teapot* Your tea, Miss St. Rommy? whee

I like this very much. It appeals to my Societas Romu persona.

I have a lovely Victorian dress that I've been hanging on to for just such an occasion.

Might as well sign me up. I'm online almost every day, so you just pick the date...

I cannot participate in this.

I'm constantly on the lookout for misplaced threads and I spend a lot of time reporting them every day. Chances are good that you never even see half of them.

That's not to say it's not a good idea, only that I'm already doing everything I can to keep the forum clean.

Believe me, we know how hard you work DV. You're gonna be a mod someday, you know that?

And it's not just a case of clean. I want the ones who get through the vermillion process to get -hammered- with solid, educated arguments.

Hammer-time! *booo-chik-chik-boom*

I'm getting kinda scared. The whole "solid, educated arguments" thing. Gonna have to study. gonk

Solid, educated arguments ALWAYS make me kinda scared. That's why I volunteered for basic troll-spotting duty. No matter how educated I am on a topic, I can't put together an argument to save my life. Too intimidated. Add that to having no religious background at ALL and, well, I wonder how I ended up here in the first place. ^^;

Not to mention the phrase "the vermillion process" makes me very, very nervous. It sounds like something they might use on me should I refuse to cooperate. gonk redface

hehehe.. vermillion process. *coughs* Oh, right! I'll be a stupid-thread-hunter. I dont like debating, cause I have very strong views, but I hate being caught in a confrontation.

Sounds cool. It'd be best if before we do, we come up with a list of sources, compiling them and suchlike.
