Perhaps the day we fell in love
was just a fond farewell
to the only friend I'd ever had,
and the one I liked so well.
He made my problems disappear
and gave me my only happiness,
He stopped my flooding tears
and got rid of my distress.
Then there came the weighted promise:
"I'll love you forever more."
and though I knew it couldn't last,
I fell in love, deeper than before.
Soon there came the day he said:
"I don't love you anymore."
just like I knew it would,
and I was left alone again,
Loveless and Forlorn.

Woah. Thats awesome. Nice wording. ^-^
I like how it expresses just enough emotion to paint the picture but doesn't over do it.

Wow awesome poem...!!! I can totally relate to that, having been in a similar situation...X_X; But anyway, beautiful wording! I really liked the last line for some reason.
