So everyone tell me about your driving/licence experiences. I have been able to get my licence for about two years but I have been too... lazy. ^^;; Anyway, I was reading my rode code before and I found this in it. (Question 71) Just thought I'd share. So share your exp. ninja

Enniel i failed on my first try cuz i stopped for jaywalkers confused Wha? Stoopid! Well I guess if they weren't in the street yet it could be considered a mistake, but if they were already crossing that's just wrong to get marked down for deciding not to hit a pedestrian. mad

Verucca I don't have my liscence yet. crying o_O SRSLY? Well, my worst driving experience... there's 2. XD One time, I was driving my dad's pickup, and had a McDonald's orange juice in the cupholder, well, I made a right turn, and the orange juice fell out (even though it was in the left cupholder), and I went to grab it, and SMACK. Ran into a parked car... stressed Luckily, I was going to school with the car owner's son, and she knew me. xd The other was when I was actually on the clock, and driving the delivery truck at work, it was snowy/icy, and the speed limit was 40, so I was doing 45. Well, I see this lady on the other side getting ready to make a left turn (she would have turned in front of me), so I start to slow down, because I think she's gonna go, I'm still covering the brake. Well, she stops, so, I let off, and give it some gas... so she decides to pull out in front of me. stare I move right as far as I can, but it was unavoidable. Stupid a** people, I swear. Tore the truck up pretty good, you couldn't even turn the wheel. And it's even worse here in Indiana. Between the illegal Mexicans and the people who don't know right-of-way/4 way stops... it's bloody ridiculous.

Suck Ein!
Yeah, I have never owned a car...so there wasn't a point. I had my permit like...three times?
Now I live in a city with a fantastic transit system and I live within walking distance of school. Plus I live downtown where you pay for parking like everywhere so there is even less point.

Well, that's good. I've pretty much needed a car no matter where I live. In VA, it was just a distance deal. And here, the nearest place to do something is 20 miles away. XD

Got my license right before my 19th birthday. I was never interested in driving before that, I didn't really go anywhere so it didn't matter.
A few weeks ago, my fiance and I were in his truck (he was driving) and we were going to one of the local casinos to have lunch. So he pulled into the parkinglot and he was driving on the outter road of the parkinglot that goes around the whole thing and meets with all the little roads for each row of spaces. Anyway we're just driving along, and some lady pulls up to turn out onto our road, stops or comes close to stopping, and then turns out right when we're in front of her! She hit the very back side of the truck like behind the back tire. Anyway she gets out and proceeds to start yelling at Ben as if he hit her or was somehow at fault when we had the right of way.
First she accuses him of driving too fast ... she said she never saw him cause he went flying through, but that was total BS because the road was pretty long before we got to where she was and there was nothing obstructing her vision -- and we saw her plain as day. He even looked back and saw that she was about to hit him, but obviously there's nothing you can do in that situation. Next she accused him of not being able to see her cause he was wearing sunglasses -- in the middle of the afternoon. Then she asks, "Why were you driving on this side?" his response was something like "This is the side we drive on in America." She also asked him why he didn't avoid her if he saw her. He asked her why she didn't stop, her response was "I didn't have a stop sign!!"
Anyway, so she's like convinced that Ben was totally at fault and was refusing to give us any of her information. I said "Fine, I'll call the police" which I think scared her because she gave us her information (kind of). I had written down her plate number anyway. So she scribbled down her name, the name of her insurance company, the general area that it was located, and her agent's name. No policy number, no proof of insurance or anything like that. I asked for her phone number and address which she added. But she never showed us her license or anything, though she demanded to see Ben's. Then she took off in a big hurry.
Okay, so that's a pretty long post, but seriously people can not drive for ANYTHING here in Vegas. I drive every day in fear that someone's going to hit me, because people dont pay attention and never yield. I see people nearly get into accidents every day, and I've also seen someone do pretty much the exact thing that happened to us only at a much higher speed and he couldn't see her but didn't think to slow down and make sure nobody was coming before he pulled out and smashed into her.

Oh, and the car insurance rates are atrocious here because of the large ammount of accidents every day, on top of the fact that there's a lot of theft going on too. WOOHOO, gotta love living in Vegas.
