The earthy red male know as Hasidi lay in a heap, looking like a carcass. Blood, scabs, and the smell of rot was the only way to explain it. He was lucky to be alive after the assault the hyenas did to him. He was a slo and dumb creature by nature, and this forced him to have no way to explain his current state of mind. His body ached but his soul ached much more. The water hole was near by, the same one he had met many a creature, but now he did not have the strength to move, or the will to do so.
Tears streamed down the young males face, his eyes clenched tightly, pretending that he didn’t exist and hoping that nothing would come upon him there. He needed someone to say it was all going to be okay, and that it would heal over time. But most of it wouldn’t his limp leg had been torn open, his right fore leg’s shoulder blade had been all but crushed.
“I want my Tisha, I want my h..ho..home!” he wailed and tried to squeeze his eyes tighter, he feigned dead.

Chuakari was out for a walk, just outside the center of the Duma'bara territory. She was still limping, but the aches were going away and she was more than happy to see them go. Her ears and nose were slightly more alert than usual, something she didn't realize she was now doing. Otherwise, she was feeling more safe and comfortable since she knew exactly where she was. As she had hoped, she did pay enough attention after getting lost when she was younger to know her way around nicely.
Her walk had taken her in the direction of a well-known water hole, and the closer she got the smell became more and more obvious. Kari looked around with a wrinkled nose for the source of the smell, and her eyes fell on a familiar heap of red. She did a double-take and changed her course to head for him.
"Hasidi?" she called out curiously, limping closer and realizing that the smell was coming from his direction. The closer she got, the more she realized how serious it was- at a distance, one could think he was just.. asleep. In close range, it definetely didn't look like he was just asleep.
"Hasidi!" Kari repeated, stopping several feet away, afraid to go closer.

At first he thought hearing his name was a dream, a figment of his imagination. But when it came again he was sure someone had called to him. He stirred slowly peering open his eyes, a thin layer of film dulled his eyes and as his sight adjusted he saw a pink cheetah, with a clouded mind he did not want to make the mistake of calling Kari –Shairi again.
“Kari is that you?” he croaked lifting his head and trying to rise to his feet. He crumpled back to an awkward laying position, and again attempted to get to his feet with a little more success. As he stood the wounds were more visible, they were not bad, but they were not good either. It would be some time before Hasidi came back to being the limping dope of a lion.
“H..how are you?” he flashed his most charming smile.
This most certainly made the entire event worse, Kari had said to stay away from hyenas. He tired, but got lost in the mist and amongst the large white rocks. Shame filled him and he averted his eyes from her.

Relief flood Kari when she saw Hasidi move and open his eyes. He was alive, and that was a good start! She didn't hesitate to limp closer now, "Yes, it's me." She didn't even think of how he'd mistaken her for Shairi before, she might of had her mind not been elsewhere.
"What happened to you?" she gasped, wincing visibly as he stood up and tried to smile at her. Kari had no intention of answering his question, instead she focussed on him, how he was, what happened to him.. Her only ill experience involved hyenas, so that thought did come to her mind- but she made no assumptions. He'd said he'd stay away from hyenas..

"I ttt...tried to stay away! But I got lost and and," he started sobbing, "Hyeenas!" He wanted his mom, yes he was a mumma's boy and he was ashamed to cry infront of her. She was sweet and right after she ws attacked she wasn't crying.
"I don't mean to cry," he sniffed and held back his tears. The red panda colored lion tried to smile again but it wasn't going to happen, his maw was plastered into a frown. "Do you think I'll be okay?" he started to edge towards her limping and grimacing as he moved. He had noticed her reaction to his wounds.

Kari's ears perked forward as he struggled to explain what had happened to him, and they immediately fell back when he said hyenas. Her eyes widened, and she hestiated to step forward again. She wanted to try to comfort him, but she was almost afraid to touch him for fear of hurting him.
"I-it's ok-" she stammered, not wanting to make him feel worse by telling him he'd done something wrong. You can't avoid everything, she supposed. At least he hadn't gone looking for hyenas like she had. Her eyes flew to the wounds again when he stepped closer, but she stepped closer anyway. The cheetah nuzzled him gently, a feline hug.
"You will be ok!" Kari squeaked, her words more optimistic than her tone, "You need to get cleaned up, though." Her only source for this requirement was her own experience, if she'd needed to get clean, surely he did.

"p..romise?" He blinked a few times confused by her nuzzling. A blush rolled across his cheeks, even if it was to make him feel better she had actually touched him! Hasidi was the shy type and at that very moment contimplated fainting.
"I smell..don't I?" He tried to joke to get a smile on her face, and pushed back nuzzling her awkwardly. "I'll get better if you did," tears blurred his eyes as he held back his sobs. It would be hard for him to explain any further, he was unsure about what to say, and even more unsure about being hurt. He could barely remember hurting his leg and that had gotten infected, how could he stop these wounds from healing just as badly?

"I promise!" Kari replied immediately. Not only was it what he wanted to hear, but it was what she wanted to hear. The last thing she would want was for a friend not to be ok. She also noticed his reaction to the nuzzle, and his own awkward attempt at it- but he fact he was trying to joke and even trying was a good sign.
"Just a little," she replied, "Your wounds should be cleaned anyway, they'll get worse if they aren't." Chuakari took a step backwards and looked around, knowing there was a waterhole nearby. It was one of the few times in her life she was even trying to take the lead..

"I got in earlier, and this lioness was with me, but I was really afraid of goign to deep," he was embarrassed to admit his fears but it was something he needed to say, he was not afraid to say what he thought, however he was not going to say that earlier he smelled like urine as well as waste,"You'll help?"
Mafa and Fritz had cornered him in the grave yard as he entered, and tried to kill him, it was out of sheer luck that Hasidi was able to escape, and now he was here with a friend, finally. The lioness before had been sweet and had talked a lot, but nothing is like being with someone you truely trust, and for some reason Hasidi trusted Kari, that and he knew she had gone through almost the same ordeal.
"Hyenas are mean," a blunt and true statement.

"I'll help," Kari agreed with a meek smile as she turned in the direction of the water hole, "If you still smell funny, you couldn't have gotten clean enough." Her voice was quiet, it was rare that she would be so blunt, she didn't think people liked hearing that kind of thing, but for now she was more concerned with helping. Kia helped her like this, she'd do it for Hasidi!
She nodded towards the water, "Come this way with me." Kari lined herself so she was at his side to help him if he needed it. If he'd already tried getting clean and had made it away, perhaps he wouldn't need it, but it was there.
"I know," she agreed bitterly. Any hope she had that some hyenas were good was now gone, she didn't think Hasidi would have found the same hyena as her.

Hasidi smiled again, this time it was almost exactly like his normal charmer. He started to walk slowly towards the bank his heart pounding adn his feet teetered as he moved. He was greatful to have her near him and slowly he leaned against her to move, feeling her warm body against his. There was quiet a bit of blood loss and most of it was visible in Hasidi's coat, his temperature was low and he felt quite cold.
"I know it is stupid, but I want my mother," he blushed, "I want my home, the safety of a group."
His thoughts wandered to Tisha, the silver lioness was amazingly beautiful in his eyes and would always be in his heart. He missed Neph, and 'soke, and yes even his older brother Tafari, who he made Neph promise to give hell about everything.

Kari was pleased to see a glimmer of his old, happy self in the smile. It was a good sign that he would, in fact, he fine. Just as she'd promised. His teetery walking and his temperature were not good signs, and they only worked to counter her optimism.
"T-that's not stupid," she argued with him, though she personally didn't have a mother to run to, she'd done the same thing he wanted to do now. She'd found her way home, though she hadn't quite stayed in the safety of a group physically, she certainly felt safe knowing that she was within the borders of the coalition lands.

It took all of his mental will power, wich is not a lot, to not say 'promise' after she said his want of his family wasn't stupid. "How have you been?" he reitereated his original question wanting to make sure she was well. He wasn't thinking of himself, that would make the tears come back, and his mind shift back to the pain; not that it wasn't half there anyways.
As he walked beside her he was given a great boost of confidence; his wounds would be clensed and she would help. There was no way that he was going into the clearing at the end of the path. His first intial thought was that he'd die and someone would find him and make fun of his smell.
His fore paws touched the waters edge first and he waited for her comand, what did she think he needed to do first?

"I've been fine," she finally answered his question in a low voice, "I've been taking it easy, and now you should to. Where do you live?" Not only was Kari curious, but perhaps she would make sure that he got there, unless he wanted to stay here or go off on his own.
When Hasidi stopped at the water's edge Kari hesitated, she still wasn't used to being in the lead, and was only minorly experienced with this. She swirled around a paw in the water then stepped into the shallow part of it, "Come on." She looked back with an encouraging smile.

"I'll take it easy if you will be there with me?" He blushed at his forwardness, he wanted her to be around more. She was sweet to him, and from what he could gather she was around his age.
"I am from well.. I would think it would be south of the Pridelands, Kusini'wezi. My adoptive mother, Tisha has lived there for a very long time. So has my brother Tafari. He taught me where cubs come from, and told me that girls were scary, but you don't seem all that scary.." Oh wow, could Hasidi's mouth get away from him; quickly he realized all that he had said and blood rushed back to his face. Tafari had said that mothers wish really hard for babies and they appear, boy was he wrong. "You are from the Coalition..?"
He stepped slowly into the water worrying about what it would feel like now that his wounds had scabbed over. The coolness soothed some of the ache in his body, but not his soul; time would soothe that. He was afraid of drownding, afraid the water would swollow him like the rivers were known to swollow lost cubs. He stood in the shallow end uneasyness covering his face.
"Now what?"
