I absolutely love Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2. DC2 is awesome because you have more freedom to customize the towns and places, you can make stuff, the dungeons and weapons are awesome, and Max is adorable. The fishing is cool, too! The only thing I miss is all of the different characters. Two's cool, but I liked having more. mrgreen

Waaaay too many clowns in that game. I do not like clowns stare . I think somebody designing that game has a crazy obsession.

In what ways does the second differ from the first? Like... how is gameplay affected and do you still have to stock up on feathers for those damn dungeons? :XP:

...That game was misery-making for my best friend and I. We worked on it for three damn months and only made it out of the city and into the wood-area. That sucked. It was confusing for me and we ended up having to look up a walkthrough to figure out how to arrange everything to form the... tree thing, go into the future, all that confusing stuff.
It was pretty bland, I think. The game was short, too, so when we finally completed the game, the first thing we both said was "that's it?".
I have no idea why I bothered to ask for it in the first place....

I beat DC1, including that 100-level tower. I'm at the beach section of DC2. I was really impressed with the beginning of the game, but the story really seems to drag with all the excessive dungeon-trekking. I find it really repetitive, but then again I never did like dungeons. sweatdrop Either way, the story's really great and the graphics are awesome! The soundtrack and voicework's pretty good too.
