Well--- I have this friendd, and I have liked him since June, and he finally said that he liked me. And we have been talking a lot since then. He says that he want's to ask me out, but then he says he wants to wait a little while. It is hard for me because I love him. What should I do? Should I just let it be, or ask him out myself?

Well, maybe he is just shy about asking you out. You know he likes you, so why not invite him somewhere? I don't see anything wrong with that. It doesn't have to be an official "date"; all you have to do is ask if he wants to hang out or see a movie or something.
If he says no, well, you know he likes you but maybe he isn't ready for a date. If you don't ask at all, you might be stuck forever waiting for him to get up the courage. There is nothing wrong with asking the guy out.

The best way is probally to ask him out. You know that you like him and he likes you. So what would be the problem.

He says that he wants to wait a bit...
But he is getting closer to it every day...

Ask him out. He could either be very shy, not that confident in himself, or a mixture of both. What could possibly go wrong if you ask him out? Look like a fool? Hardly. If you two really are friends then it is something you can easily laugh off. You do not need a boyfriend right now. Allow me to repeat myself again: you do not need a boyfriend right now. Why? Because you are still in high school. You're still, in a way, immature to mull over trifles such as love and relationships. I'm not saying not to go ahead and ask but just don't get so up in a fix if things turn out negative. It will not be the end of the world, again I shall repeat: it will not be the end of the world, should he say "no" to you. It is only high school and puppy love. Once you have graduated and are off to college (or at least then out of high school), you will find everything you thought you wanted (or could find) in high school.
In retrospect, "don't worry about his answer should you confront him with asking him out."

If he has hesitation, then that's something you need to bring up with him. Asking him out might put unwanted pressure on him. Just see why he's wanting to wait before you make your move.
