Villages (Ok, not quite sure why I put this picture. But its fun!)This thread is for any land activity that isnt directly in any of the other three threads. You can either be wandering around in the Rono desert or arguing in a village. Doesn't matter.

The wheels of the motorcycle spit sand in all directions as they turned, the vehicle speeding across the desert's surface. The rider's trench coat, long and black in color, whipped about violently in the back draft of the moving vehicle. Flying over the top of a sand dune, the bike bounced as it hit the sand, a small village*, sitting on the outskirts of a rather large oasis, slowly came into view. The rider grinned as he slid his bike to a stop, its engine still running hot as he proped himself, tucking some of his long black hair behind his ear. "Well...a little small....and remote, but a jobs a job...." He shrugged lightly as he brought the vehicle to bear, kicking off as he twisted the throttle, the bike once again speeding acoss the desert's sands.
*The little pink dot on the map to the far bottom left, right above the oasis in the desert ^_^

((Well, for the sake of my RPing-ness, Imma claim this village in the name of the Kudo ^_^ ))
The motorcycle came to a slow, rolling stop as it entered the village. Not long after the engine died down, The rider found himself surrounded by several men, each one armed with crude, old fashioned weaponry. Rolling his obsidian eyes, the rider dismounted, his trench coat smoothing out as he flipped out the kick stand, leaning the bike on its side. "Machinite! Your not welcome here!" One of the men called out, threating the rider with a long, crude spear. "He's not one of them...." Another man stepped forward from the crowd. "This is the mercenary I hired to search out the root of our problems..." The rider nodded. "...You weren't lying...this village was out of the way..."
One of the men poked at the motorcycle, turning back to look at its owner. "If your gonna be here, this thing's gotta go....We have our principles out here..." The rider turned his obsidian eyes upon the speaker. "If the bike goes...so do I..." "That wont be necessary, Mr. Dark..." "Call me Einji..." The rider inturrupted. "Very well, Einji. I understand that our ways are not yours...Pay little attention to the others...we've just never been big fans of machinery..." Einji nodded slightly. "..Whatever...so give me a run down of the situation again..."
The man nodded, leading Einji into on of the nearby houses, the group of farmers slowly dispersing to set about their daily chores. Closing the door behind them, the man offered Einji a seat as his wife entered the room, setting a pot of freshly brewed tea on the table, a cup infront of two of the chairs seated across from each other. Einji pulled out a chair and sat down, the farmer doing the same as his wife set about filling each of the tiny cups with tea. She doctored her husband's up the way he liked it before turning to her guest. "Would you like any sugar or honey in you tea?" Einji shook his head. "...No..Its fine the way it is..." She nodded and stepped back, standing behind her husband's chair.
"About two weeks ago, two of our farms on the outskirts of the village where burned, all the already harvested crops stolen from the warehouses they were kept in...out here in the desert its hard enough to grow crops in the first place..." Einji nodded again, picking up the steaming tea cup, pressing it to his lips as ht drained it almost instantly. The farmer looked at him curiously for a moment before continuing. "...Anyway, we dont have any idea what it may have possibly been, but its definately hostile, for a week after the first two farms were destroyed, another was hit, and this time, the family that lived on it were all slaughtered...it looked like they had been trying to fend off whatever it was...You see, Einji, not only do we harvest food for ourselves, but there is another village further out in the desert, not as close to the oasis, and we help them with their food supply as well...We've a lot of damage to repair, and cannot afford for anymore crops to be destroyed...."
Einji nodded once again, looking up at the farmer, the light shimmering in the dark obsidian voids that were his eyes. "So, you have no clues for me, what so ever?" The farmer shook his head. "We've even already buried of the bodies of the dead...so we cant let you examine them..." "Alright...Take me to most recently attacked farm..." The man nodded, sliding out his chair as he rose to his feet. "Alright, follow me..." He walked over and opened the door, walking out of the house. Einji followed suit, making his way towards the door, turning to nod his thanks for the tea to the farmer's wife as he followed her husband out the door, closing it as he stepped out.

((Meh, Im good, I had to start somewhere ^_^ And in the middle of a job seemed like the perfect place))
Einji and the farmer walked for several minutes, the houses being spaced pretty far appart. Einji stopped suddenly, a familiar feeling tickling down his spine. He looked up at the sky, zoning out of the here and now as his subconscience all but left his body, his soul searching for what it was he felt. He soon shook his head, comming back to reality. The Farmer had also stopped, a questioning look on his face as he stared at Einji. "You alright?" Einji turned to face him and nodded, "I am fine...just an old familiar feeling..." I did not even realize I had come so close to the mansion...It seems fate will not let me forget so easily... He sighed as he continued on, the farmer turning and walking on as well.
They soon arrived at the sight of the most recent attack, the once tilled land, ruined beyond repair, and the house ransacked of anything valuable. Casting his gaze about the scene, Einji walked over to the door of the house, pushing it open as he looked inside. He spied a lantern hanging by the door and took it down, pulling out a lighter, using its flame to ignite the wick of the lantern. A soft orange-yellow glow soon basked the room as the mercenary stepped completely in the house, keeping a sharp eye out for anything that could be of interest.
A few moments later, he came back out, hanging the lantern on the hook by the door once again, extinguishing the flame with his thumb and fore fingers. The Farmer approached him, nodding his head slightly. "Find anything that could help you?" Einji shook his head, his long hair tussling slightly. "I did not...It seems that I shall just have to wait and see if they attack again..." The farmer nodded. "Where will you be stayin?" "Well...Since this humble little home behind me is recently vacated, I will use it as a base of opperations...perhaps if whoever did this, sees that someone is living here again, they may attack again...you could call it a trap of sorts..." The farmer nodded his consent. "I don't think anyone will object to it...I hope you luck out.." Einji bowwed slightly. "So do I...Now, if you dont mind, I'll go get my motorcycle...I can keep it here, and it shouldn't offend any of the other villagers..." He turned and headed back the way he came, the farmer following as well, going back to his own home and his own chores of the day.

It didnt take Einji long to retrieve his bike, wheeling it back across the town to the small rundown home he would be using as a base. Upon arriving, he carefully lifted the bike up the stairs, placing it against the wall by the door. Unlatching one of the saddle bags, he lifted out his cell phone, slipping it into his trench coat pocket. He then pulled out something wrapped in a fine black cloth. Walking over to the table he slid the cloth off the item, revealing a black case, cool to the touch. Opening the case, Einji smiled slightly as his face was blasted with a whiff of cold air, three brand new, still sealed bottles of whiskey. The inside of the pack was coated with a layer of permenate ice, so the bottles would, so long as they stayed in the bag, remain cold. Pulling one of the bottles out, Einji closed the bag again, sliding out a chair as he sat down, leaning back as he placed his feet up on the table. "...Well...This is off to a grand start..."

Einji opened the bottle, the smell of whiskey and the feeling of familiarity of the area sent his memory back to the past, to the roof of the mansion he was oh so familiar with. Closing his obsidian eyes he raised the bottle to his lips and drank deeply, the firey liquid coursing down his throat, though it had no other effect than that. He opened his eyes a few moments later, narrowing them almost instantly as he sat the bottle down on the table. He stood up and made his way to the door, opening it as he looked out over the desert horizon. Something was moving towards his direction, the sand forming an obscuring barrier in the distance. He grinned slightly as he crossed his arms over his chest, highly interested in meeting his 'visitors'.

As the cloud of sand and grit moved closer, Einji was able to make out five different shapes. Looming closer he was able to make out greater details, five uniformed men mounted on hover bikes. Einji strode forward, his hands comming out of his pockets as he slid his arms our of his trench coat, letting the article sit loosely on his shoulders. The vanguard of the group spotted Einji, grinning broadly as he reved his engine, shooting forward on a collision course with the man that stood out infront of them.
As soon as the first biker was within a few feet of the mercenary, he threw back his shoulders, the trench coat sliding off. He stepped to the side and caught the coat as it fell, whipping it out at the rider as he passed. The coat hit the rider in the face, wrapping around his neck and face. Giving the trench coat a jerk, Einji pulled the man off the bike, a loud crack sounding as the force of the pull snapped the man's neck. The hover bike came to a slow stop as Einji dropped the coat, turning to face the rest of the group, who were slowly catching up.

Dark being a tad preoccupied, he may not have even noticed the little creature wander around the corner of the farmhouse.
The little demon only stood about three feet tall, the size of a three year old human. It's skin was a soft red-orange, it's scales soft to the touch. It's hands and feet only had four fingers, each one with a nice sized claws attached. A small tail for balance, and two tiny horns poking out of it's head, the tiny creature looked almost too cute.
The little creature walked akwardly along the edge of the farmhouse, it's too big eyes pools of ebony. Dark would notice after spotting the creature, that as it walked it was playfully tossing flames as a child would play with a ball.
It hadn't dropped it yet, but he could easily could guess what might happen to the farm if it did.

Einji once again strode out, directly in the path of one of the bikers. Having been unable to see exactly what had happened to their commrade, the raiders sped forward, once again attempting to run down their target. Fist comming back, Einji lept forward, his fist flying forward into the front of the hover bike directly infront of him. Following through, the whole front of the vehicle caved in, the rider being thrown from its seat, landing off in the desert behind the mercenary. Legs pivoting, Einji shot into the air, narrowly avoiding the explosion that resulted from the bike he had destroyed.
One of the bikers came to a stop, pulling a hand held chain gun from a holster on the side of the bike. Taking aim, the assailant pulled the trigger, releasing a hail of bullets at the mercenary who drifted slowly back to the ground. Einji watched the man with disintrest as the gun rattled off its shots, the few that hit him doing little more than tearing holes in his shirt and pants, the rounds themself turning to fine power as they collided with his skin. He Came down in a crouch, the sand hardly disturbed as if he had merely knelt down. Rising back to his feet, He shot towards the man with the gun, appearing infront of him before the biker could even register Einji's landing.
Sword appearing in hand, its blade thick and curved, the same color obsidian as the wielder's eyes, Einji gave a quick spin, the man's head flying from his shoulders. Wheeling about, He charged the next biker, who was readying a weapon of his own, a large calvery-like spear, its tip crackling with some sort of energy. The bike and mercenary came together, Einji leaping up on the front of the hover bike, his hair whipping about his face as he grinned at the rider. Insulted by his unwanted passenger's smirk, the biker thrust his lance at Einji several times, swerving the bike at the same time, the combination of movements ment to throw the mercenary off balance.
Einji shook his head, dodging the thrusts easily enough, never once losing his footing even slightly, as if he were standing on firm ground. The biker made one last attempt, thrusting sharply at Einji's feet. The mercenary lept up, twirling slightly as he landed on the seat behind the rider. The blade of his sword flashing slightly, he rammed it into the man's back, the blade comming out the front. He twisted the blade so that it was flat, pulling it to the left as he ripped the blade free, shoving the man off the bike at the same time.
He slid forward in the seat and gave the console a quick look over, nodding as he noticed how similar to his normal motorcycle it was, his hands wrapping around the handle bars. He reved the bike and turned it around, driving on a collision course with the only other biker left. The biker held to his course as well, moving as rapidly towards Einji as he was to the biker, the man obviously fearless...or stupid. At the very last second, before the vehicles collided, Einji lept from the back of his, cutting a back flip, landing in the sand as the two bikes made contact, both vehicles exploding in a brilliant flash, debris flying out in all directions. Turning away from the wreakage, Einji made his way towards the only one of the raiders to survive....

The little demon turned his head, watching Einji literally take apart the bikers. Finding this much, much more interesting than it's ball of fire, the little demon plopped himself down around the front door of the house, giggling happily. Tossing it's ball backwards a little, the little being clapped for Einji.
The little demons ball gently hit the wall of the house, bouncing off and rolling back to the little one's side. Where the ball had touched however, flames now danced upon the building, only small right now, but there they were.

Einji spotted the child as he made his way to the biker lying face down in the sand. Watching the ball of fire roll over and bump his borrowed 'home', the mercenary shook his head and walked over, intentionally walking across the back of the biker, who was trying to rise to his feet. "...Stay down..." He spoke harshly as he stepped on the back of the man's head, making his way over to the house. He closed his eyes and began to mutter something as he drew out small designed in black energy in the air abover his head. A small cloud appeared over the corner of the house, rain falling from the cloud, dousing the tiny flames. Opening his dark eyes he looked to the child. "...If your going to play with fire, little one...be careful of where you leave it when your done...." He turned away and walked back over to the raider.
Einji knelt down next to the man and grabbed him by the back of his hair, pulling him up into a sitting position. "...Listen jerk off...your going to tell me what exactly it is you are doing here..." The man grinned defiantly, glaring into Einji's eyes. "You only wish..." Einji smirked back as a small obsidian dagger appeared in hand. "Your going to tell me...Or I'll pull you appart in a very slow manner...." The man laughed, giving the dagger all no more than a fleeting glance. "Psh, You goody good types never result to torture...Your bluffing..." "hmmm....You must be right..." Einji pulled out his lighter and set it on the ground. With a swift swipe of the knife, he lopped the very end of the man's boot off, reveiling the toes of his left foot. The man flinched slightly and Einji responded with a punch to the man's face with his dagger hand, his other grabbing the man's foot, holding it still.
He brought the dagger down and placed the blade next to his small toe, applying pressure suddenly, severing the toe. The man screamed as Einji grabbed the lighter and activated it, swiftly sealing the wound with its flame. "You like that? You have nine more toes, and ten fingers...then I get to the fun stuff...Now you gonna talk?" "Alright alright! Geezus your nuts you son of a b***h...We're just a group of mercenaries...Dont really have any beef with these people...Just doin a job..." Einji nodded as he placed the dagger against the man's next toe. "..And who was it that hired you?" "A guy named Darce...Thats all I know, but by the way he talked, I think he's just workin for somebody too..." Einji nodded and stood up, Placing his lighter back into his pocket. "...So this goes pretty high up, your tellin me? Means I've got one hell of a job ahead of me...." Einji turned and walked away, stopping suddenly as he turned back around, looking at the wounded man. "Oh...one more thing..." "Yeah? Whats tha...." The man was cut short as Einji's dagger, thrown from the mercenary's hand, sailed through his chest, going clean through and lodging into the sand behind the rider. The man fell over, blood slowly staining the sand as Einji made his way back to his house, The dagger slowly fading away into nothingness.

The rain put out all the fire, nearly all. The ball of fire, sitting beside the creature, easily took the brunt of the rain. Einji would also notice, that the rain never touched the little devil, evaporating before it got the chance.
The little one tilted it's head at Einji when he spoke to it, obviously not really underestanding him. Looking around a little and picking his ball back up, the little demon kept on watching Einji, seemingly rather amused with his actions, kicking his feet and giggling happily.

Making his way back to the house, Einji stopped to take the time to look the boy over, judging by his appearance that he was a demon of sorts. Almost walking past the demon boy, Einji sighed as he stopped and turned to face the child, desciding that, if the boy was planning on being there, he should attempt to communicate. "....So..Enjoy the show, kid?"

The little demon giggled, clapping his hands with joy. Still looking a little puzzled at what Einji was saying, the little demon began to sniff at the air. Getting to his feet just like any other toddler, the little demon picked up his ball and started following his nose, walking down the steps.
To Einji's surprise, the demon stopped at the bike nearest the house, dropping his ball in the sand next to him. Even more surprising, the little demon picked up the remains of the bike, opened his mouth impossibly wide, and ate them all.
The little demon retrived his ball, and returned to the house, sounds of scraping metal and breaking glass coming from inside his mouth. Plopping himself down in front of Einji again, the man would notice a small spiked collar around his neck, a medalion with the word "Relban" hanging from it.
