It was rather early in the day, a few hours before the sun would be strong in the sky and harmful to an aquatic's skin such as the young punk standing awkwardly outside. It was the day after that critical talk with Tommy and therefore, the day in which the symphony would be performed. The performers were at the ready, that is, save for the one key note in the main chorus.
Alec had placed himself in the Village near the first duplex in the long row of living areas, off to the side and out of sight. Under the shade of a tree he waited, too scared to do anything but hold his breath and wait.

Tommy walked slowly toward the center of the Village where he was to meet Alec. The cadet was favoring his battle dress uniform today because that was what he saw this as. His battle. His boots crunch as he stops, searching for his partner in crime. A long digit traces the outline of the syringe, capped and charged with draino, in his pocket.

At some point, the sound of scratching at the door and the whimper of a dog's cry could be heard from the other side of the door. Ein whined impatiently as Aubrey made her way into some clothes and to the door.
The door opened and the energetic dogling rushed out, immediately sniffing around the bushes and going about finding a suitable spot to take care of business. Aubrey yawned and finished pulling her thick unruly hair into a ponytail as she blinked in the sunlight. She had been bad about holing herself in the duplexes, and she was rather certain Ambrose and Angelina would want some time alone. She stepped away from the duplex a bit, waiting on Ein to finish to she could walk with him to the cafeteria.

Alec watched as the door to the duplex opened, letting out a shallow and shakey breath as he focused on the form of the woman as she exited the building. No attention was given to the little dog until it scuttled off into the bushes, luckily not the ones he'd chosen to stand by. Frozen in his spot, he nearly forgot what he was supposed to do.
Tommy was waiting, he had to keep the ball rolling.
Squeezing his eyes shut in an attempt to steady his nerves, the irish teen waited a moment longer before take a small step towards Aubrey.

Tommy leans against a tree in the middle of the village, acting like he doesn't have a care in the world. His eyes tell another story, however. Tommy's calculating orbs immediately lock onto Aubrey as she exits duplex number one. .oO(This must be her...) This thought only proves itself to the cadet as Alec begins walking toward her. An image from the movie Beetlejuice comes to mind of the ghost with the most just spreading his hands and saying, "It's show time."
Tommy pushes his back against the tree to rebound off of it and uses the momentum to carry him toward the developing scene.

Aubrey patted her leg, causing Ein to come bounding back towards her when he finished relieving himself.
Aubrey jumped a bit when Alec made himself known. She forced a smile and nervously tugged at the hem of her shirt... something she found herself doing often when she didn't have her labcoat to tote around as some symbol of authority.
She was rather unfamiliar with the young man...she mentally tried to remember his name. Derring. Alec Derring... tiger shark and watervine. Not having any reason to converse, she gave a quick 'good morning' type nod and focused her attention back to the cafeteria in the distance.

Alec tried to smile, the toothy expression often a poor example of his current mood. He could see she was uncomfortable by her body language, hell, he was practically shaking himself. "Ay..." He chirped back a greeting, oddly shifting his weight. From the looks of it he was unsure whether or not he'd just give in and run, but he finally took another slow step forwards in persistance. "Top o' th'mornin... cute doggeh." A lame comment he thankfully thought up on the spot. If he was too bold, she'd run too. "C'n I..... pet i'?" Again, he took another sheepish step forwards, slowly and surely closing the gap unnoticeably.

Tommy walks slowly toward them from behind Aubrey, doing his best to keep his boots from making too much noise. .oO(That's it' Alec...that's it. C'mon, don't give out on me now...make the intial grab and I'll stick her...c'mon...little closer...now, what about the dog? Hmm...)

Aubrey scratched the back of her neck, giving away her unease at a man turning into a shark wanting to pet her dog. "Sure..." she said after a moment with a forced cheerfulness in her voice. She learned down and snatched up the wiggling mass of fur, holding it in her arms up to him. "His name's Ein.." she said after a moment, wondering offhandedly if the boy even knew who she was.

Alec smiled and finally closed the gap between the two of them, reaching out to gently pet the dog in Aubrey's arms. He was cute for sure, and the calming action momentarily distracted the teen from his task. "Ay Ein... heh.."
His blood had run cold the moment he'd woken up that morning but now he was feeling something beyond anxiety as he peered up at Aubrey. She was close to running, he could tell, and as he slowly looked over her shoulder to catch the dark figure of Tommy, he knew it was time.
Reaching his hands non-threateningly around the pup, he gently removed it from her arms and gave it another pet. Inhaling sharply, he quickly let Ein drop to the ground and with a twist of his body, grabbed Aubrey around the waist, his other hand flying to cover her mouth. "S'ekay." He immediately began to speak into her ear, eyes now glaring focused on Tommy who was nearby. "is ekay, ye won' ge' 'urt..."

Tommy slowly draws the syringe full of drain-o out of his pocket and flicks off the cap with his thumb as he sees Alec about to make his move. Tommy hesitates the briefest of moments as Aubrey is aprehended. Alec's eyes, accusing, hateful...murderous, staring right at him.
.oO(Jesus...what the hell are we doing?) is all that he manages to think before the thought is wiped away and his hands go on autopilot to jab the needle into Aubrey's neck. He begins to speak quickly, with an unnaturally calm voice, "Dr. Lockhart, I presume? Listen to what I say and you won't die right here. The syringe in your neck has enough of a highly toxic chemical in it to kill you before you hit the ground. You try to run, we push the plunger. You resist, we push the plunger. You don't do what we say, we push the plunger. Do you understand? Don't nod your head, just speak: yes or no."

"What th-" was about all Aubrey got out before Alec's hand went over her mouth. She mumbled something that would have been what 'the the ******** do you think you're doing?' had Tommy, and islander she wasn't familiar with, stepped forward and jabbed something into her neck.
Her eyes went WIDE and she screeched behind Alec's hand. The injection pricked and burned sharply at the entrance point, just painfully enough to know that they weren't joking about what was inside. She quit her struggling immediately and went rigidly still, staring wide-eyed and fearful at the man.
"Yes," she breathed out, eyes darting around, wondering how long it would take for them to go down, or to have the Jeeps out here.

Alec's hand fell down to the needle that had been placed in Aubrey's neck, gingerly taking control over the weapon so that Tommy could direct him further. His other arm held firm around her midsection and the shark boy stared at Tommy, waiting for instruction. He'd let the bat-like man be the speaker.

Tommy allows Alec to take the weapon and the bat-man steps back. He positions himself so that Aubrey can look him in the eyes. "You realize that we're now all in a rather precarious situation. If I fall asleep, the other will hit the plunger. If my man Alec falls asleep, he's positioned so that he will take you down also. And you better pray that he falls without putting so much as an iota of pressure on that syringe...because...well, we all know what would happen then. So, what I want you to do, Dr. Lockhart, is affirm what I just said to the cameras and call the good doctor Moreau down here to discuss our demands."

"Trust me, they already know what's going on and I bet you Moreau is on his way down here as we speak," she said, not even bothering to hide the sneer in her voice.
She swallowed but looked up, scanning around for the nearly camera posted on a pole somewhere. "Moreau, please do something. They was to talk to you. Buzz them, and they may take me down with them." Better to be safe than sorry. She leveled and narrowed her eyes back on him. "You're not going to get away with this," she stated simply.
