Education: Highschool degree, 4-year Biology Bachelor's and minor in Genetics

Childhood: ____ was an orphen for her entire life. She was raised in the _________ orphanage in ________ and took classes there. She was traded through a few foster homes, none of any importance or emotional attachments. Since she didn't have any family, ___ started to draw at a young age. She drew on everything and kept practicing, even though she didn't have much talent. Shortly after highschool, ___ got a scholarship and went to __________________________.

Dislikes: Clutter, bland/boring things, bad color combonations, bad drawing/bad proportions,
Personality:She's very quiet and shy around large crowds. Designated a 'wallflower', she draws what she sees from her 'wallflower' position. Once she's in a group of people she knows and is friends with, ___ almost blooms into a talkative, cheery person. She's very optimistic and a good shoulder to cry on, keeping the appearance of a stable rock to everybody else.
However, beneath this optimistic mask, ___ is an occasionally depressed person. When upset, she retreats to her room, where she throws away the mask of happiness and draws to vent her feelings. Of course, her excitement of her new *gills/fins/wings/fur/whatever it is* outweighs most of her sadness.
She's fairly bright, but is very bad at schoolwork. She can write poetry a little bit, but prefers to draw. ___ will add poetry to an image if it suits it though. She has a fondness for science, particularly animals and the different variations that can be caused by genetic hic-ups.
Personality in a Nutshell:In public, she a very quiet, shy, wallflower. With people she knows, she wears the outside appearance as optimistic and cheerful, no matter how she is inside. She's a little sad that she can never leave the island, but her excitement of growing *wings/tail/fins/gills/whatever* outweighs that some.
History:Not very good at much, ___ is a fairly talented artist. No true master, but pretty darn good. Knowing that she couldn't make a living as an artist, ___ decided to go into Biology, her second best skill. She went to college studying animals, but was the lowest in her class. She was usually assigned to draw specimens or to make catalogs of various species of animals, seeing as she wasn't too good at anything else. She could, however, take good notes, so she was the best canidate for documenting the progress of experiments. Also taking several genetic courses, she was, again, always assigned to draw out the specimens and various abnormalities in the animals due to their genetics.
((Unsure how she got to the island, but I'm carrying from there))Once __ reached the island, she was for the most part completely unaware of the experiments taking place. When she finally found out, she viewed everything as an experiment, which she found 'Fascinating!'. She made complex sketches in her sketchbook of each subject, along with all of their changes. She made careful documentation of the progress of each person as well as their psychological state of mind.
Once __ was injected with her own serum, she appeared to be optimistic about the entire thing. She could be heard saying things like "just think of all the new things I can do that I've never been able to do before!" and "At least I'm not a slug and I still have arms!" and generally being very pleased with how her changes were coming. On the inside, ___ was a little depressed by the entire affair. She knew she could never leave the island, which meant she couldn't travel and document any more species. She was, however, happy that more people were coming to the island so she wouldn't be lonely.
How does your Character get to/why was your character chosen for the Island? Hrrrmmm... If I wanted to be boring, I could just say that she was out on a field survey, sketching some rare fish in the middle of the Caribbean with a glass bottomed boat. A large storm blew up, beaching her boat on a reef, thus puncturing the glass bottom of her boat and then the boat sank. The rest of the people she was out on the survey with drowned because they couldn't swim, but she managed to grab some piece of floating junk and ended up on the island.
But, since I'm not that boring, I'll have to come up with some other reason she's on the island. Perhaps the Doctor wanted somebody to make drawings of his experiments? Who knows...
Ok, here's a reason: ___ saw an add requiring somebody good at classification and data gathering of specimins and experiments on the island. Since it was a few years after leaving college and she'd had no luck finding any jobs requiring her abilities, ___ was escatic and immediatly signed up.
