I think this got deleted before, so I'll try again. If it appears later, delete the other one, please. ^^
So, I just got this idea for a fanfiction. A Xenosaga fanfiction. Basically, it's going to be the fic from hell. As twisted as I can possibly make it--albeit serious. But twisted--kinda like Serial Experiments Lain or something.
One of the central things I want to happen in this fic is that by the end, every single character in the whole game--as minor as I can possibly go--is paired up with someone else. Thing is, it's go to be the LAST person you'd ever expect.
So, anyone have some pairing ideas that might get the creative juices flowing? Much obliged.

erg. read a gundam wing fic with caprious pairings like that. ticked me off. i like my heero duo. but with xs its easier cause its not like it was created for horny fan girls. while gundam wing was. it was!!!!! anyway. um....how about....MOMO's 'mom' and her? thats sick but its unexpected! or...KOS MOS and albedo. thatd be pretty arbitrary. oo! dance! jin and allen! i hate desecrating jin like that but still...it amuses me. cause allens a wimp. die allen. oo! tony and hammer! o wait, thats not random. thats just my twisted mind. mm..hammer's sexy. especially when he gets kicked. mmmm...s&m...anyway. uh...shion and negredo? wilhelm and ziggy! thats twisted...chaos and a kirshwasa! okay im done. i have to study. exams next week. nyrg.

Ooh I know the best way to get strange pairings - manual randomization! It's pretty easy, just list all characters you want to use and assign each a number (consecutive numbers are easy to do - but slightly less random in some cases). Then use some technique to randomize numbers (my graphing calculator has a built in random number generator so I use that, but there are some on the internet, or you can always just draw numbers from a hat or some similar method of pulling random numbers). Then generate two random numbers and the characters corresponding to those numbers would be a pair. It's actually kind of fun to do if you're really bored.
So let's see all the characters in XS that I can think of off the top of my head (in no particular order either):

3. Jr.
4. chaos
5. MOMO
6. Ziggy
7. Allen
8. Albedo
9. Negredo
10. Jin

Hmm.. well I'm sure I missed a few people, but it's a good start for a list if you want to use the randomizer method.

wow albedo and feb is really out there. and quick question, ive been spelling it virgil but everyone else spells it virgel, whose wrong? (prob. me ive misspelled my name on occasion. its a really hard name!)

Yeah, name spellings are odd - particularly when they're English names, put into hiragana/katakana, and then romanized again. There's a minor character in episode 2 who's name is pronounced something along the lines of "Richalt" (something like that - his name isn't said very often and I don't have the kana to look at) but the name is probably suposed to be "Richard" (I'm about 90% sure that "Richalt" isn't a German name so I'm pretty sure it's suposed to be Richard, but who knows). Since Japanese and English "spell" things with completely different methods it's hard to come up with a completely accurate romanization of a japanese name and visa versa with english names/phrases into japanese (ex. Jr's catch-phrase "Go ahead, make my day" is something like "goha-ahedo-meiku-mai-deya" ).

HUH. interesting. oo! you know who would go good together *is surprised i have thought of this earlier* hammer and tony. especially since they were dancing together. o and for anyone who knows a bit about american history, who thinks that jefferson and madison had something going on? and maybe hamilton and washington too. with the latter im thinking that whole greek man boy thing was going on. but anyway.
