I just finished a nice long debate in the ED with an arrogant b***h that continued to use the word 'fat' as one of her descriptions to insult someone, who in my opinion wasn't fat at all. But I was just disgusted as to how she continued to use the word fat as an insult. How do you feel about how people use the term 'fat' as a way to insult someone? If I called someone 'skinny' they probably wouldn't be offended by it, since being skinny is so accepted in society these days. (The only person I know who ever took offense from being called skinny was my brother lol...)
(Oh and the person I was debating with turned out to be a he. He was using a female avatar so I figured that he was a she-male or transvestite, funny how they never came up for a retort for that when I called them, Miss-ter Shemale xd No offense to anyone who uses the opposite sex avatar of themselves, it was a flame-war and pretty much required insults such as this one.)

Using fat as an insult tends to become a mute point if you don't think of it as an insult. Unfortunately most people do. I just shrug and say..."Hell yeah, my a** is fat! And you had pucker up and start now because it is going to take you a few hours for you to finish kissing my a**!"...as I walk away...showing off said fat a**... twisted Doesn't bother me any more.

I think that people who use the term fat as an insult lack creativity...if that's the best they can come up with, it shows how truly unimaginative and juvenille they really are.

About the least impressive of insults, usually. Yeah, I'm fat, I'm happy your eye-sight is still reasonable, thank you! You can turn that one around so quickly.

It annoys me, because then I have to use cute, innacurate Politically Correct phrases like "big boned" or "fluffy" or crap like that, which imply that the word fat and its meaning are somehow inherently offensive.
Fat in and of itself is a perfectly fine, neutral, word. Somebody fat has a lot of fat cells and fatty tissue.

I used to be really bothered by it. But I've done a lot of changing in the two years that I've dropped off the face of the earth. I've decided that if the best someone can do, the only thing they can find to make fun of, is to call you fat, then they're obviously stupid. I'd rather be fat than stupid any day^.^ lol

*nods in agreement*People who use fat as an insult are stupid. Though it still kinda hurts me sweatdrop But I try to avoid arguments and just plainly "shrug" off the whole thing. Even when the picking on goes beyond my weight, I've learned to have a lot of temper control.

Usually, I just end up launching into a diatribe of lenghty words.... all of which make sense, not just random big words (but as you all may have noticed, I tend to talk like that anyway.... me and my "$5 words"! sweatdrop )... and when they sit there and stare blankly, I smile as sweetly as possible and say "Anyway, my point is: fat is a choice, stupidity is forever. Enjoy!"
Then I turn and walk my lovely fat a** away from them before I catch any of their stupid. xd

When someone calls me fat, I take hardly any offense at all. I just laugh at them and give them my "Is that all you got? You're pathetic. lol " reply.
They seriously need to come up with something better if they want to offend me. Calling someone fat is a weak and pitiful attempt to try and get to someone, in my opinion.

Usually people who say things like that have something to prove or have such a low self esteem that they need to make others feel bad in order fell good about themselves.
