Why is FF9 so Underrated? Do FF7 have cons?
That is the question that I wondered to myself for a week, why is FF9 so underrated? It is the least favorite game and I also wonder, does FF7 have any cons since its the most popular?
FF9 is my most favorite FF because it was my first. Come to think of it, all the FF games I own are my favorite. But I havent played FF7 to be honest. sweatdrop But I noticed alot of different people that I talk to about the FF series say that FF7 is the best and the rest from there is garbage. I wanted to ask you all since we are gamers. I want to know from your prospective about FF9 and the cons of FF7. Do FF7 even have cons? confused
I love FF9 because of the storyline, graphics, the beautiful music, and of course, the characters. I just wanted to hear your opinions on my curiousity. smile

The game don't really change if you got the secrect character. They might insert certain things, and somewhat add their back stories. Like if you have Yuffie and you are on the plain. She will say a direction of her town. There might be other things..., but It guess the things are less. I love the story line from FF9.

Well I never played FF7, but JDR, why do so many people dislike FF9? The storyline is great and all the key items have some type of philosophical message on them...

Don't know. Maybe the set classes? I somewhat wished they done blue mage alittle different. The music was very good. I think the mini games where alright. I think might be because you know how some people are so set towards one system that they hate all other systems. I think it might have to be something like that. I guess.

Yeah I see your point. I mean, people are so focused on Cloud and the other characters in FF7 they give FF9 less credit. The blue magic can be better...I didnt like the fact that Quina had to eat the monsters just to get all 64 spells....I only have 5 more to get 3nodding I wish people can be more diversed when it comes to Final Fantasy...I mean really dont they know Final Fantasy battle systems changes up almost every time?

I think it is underated because some peole...thick headed...don't like the character design...or the art. Another reason is that FF9 is just like the old FF games...ff6 and before. And newer gamers of the FF srries like the futuristic look of FF more...

So you are saying that people like FF7, 8, and 10 more than 9. I didn't think it was really midevil like. Like when when you are walking around while the mist was around. You could see ships in the sky. Even though they weren't advance as 7 and 8 they where more advance than 6 I think.

In my opinion, they kinda made FF9 realistic, like JDR said, the airships in the sky are actually flying and not staying in one place. Even though the characters may seem "cartoonish" the environment around them looks realistic.
