At the moment this RP is between Mrost and Hakan, once they reach Nyek's lands however, we will allow other people to join in.

Characters involved:
- Mrost
- Hakan'Mawasii
- Nyek (join later on)

Apparently a female in heat was too much for Hakan to resist who was so new to adolescence. He was returning from the graveyard in quite a state and now that the lust had left him he was feeling tired and a little annoyed at giving in to temptation so easily. True, Mbaya was a great warrioress and she was strong and beautiful. She was wild and untameable and yet he had bent her to his will.

She was his and he had claimed her with ease.

His ears drooped back as he remembered her words. She had said she loved him, but could she? He thought he loved her too and he had told her. Yet as he had said those words he could not help but see Kizuka in the back of his mind.

How was it possible to love two lionesses?

He knew deep down that this was a road to trouble but he couldn't think of this now. It had happened and it didn't matter. He could move on, forget about what had occured with Mbaya and treat it as if nothing had happened. It was for the best.

He just didn't feel ready for a mate yet! Not when he had so much left to accomplish for Mrost.

Thoughts turning to the God made him feel even more guilty. He should have been finding recruits, not letting his male instincts get the better of him. Yet deep down the dark male knew that if Mbaya approached again with her scent so desireably sweet he would not be able to turn her away.

She may be mine... he though grimly to himself, but apparently I am hers too. He hated the feeling of being manipulated by a female because of his heart and despised the fact that he had gotten so clsoe to a Pridelander.

She's not like other Pridelanders. She is strong. She is a fighter and she is mine now. He shook his head and snarled, his lean, muscular body moving slowly but surely across the ground. He looked quite fearsome, like a demon lion newly risen from hell.

Blood caked his dark fur from wounds that marred his body - wounds from Mbaya's own claws and fangs. They had fought and he had allowed her to harm him. Blood trickled down the inside of his foreleg, it matted the fur on his sides, tangled his growing mane and ran down his face. Most of it had dried now, but some from the deeper wounds still oozed.

It was by the waterhole he had claimed as his own that he lay down stiffly and moved to lick the wounds that marred his body. They stung, ached and caused him great pain but it was good. Good to feel the wounds weaken him only because he now understood how awful it felt to be without strength. To be so vulnerable to attackers. It made him determined never to let himself be beaten like this again.

It was only when the greater wounds had ceased to spill forth life's blood that he got up again and moved slowly into the water, letting the cold liquid wash away the dirt and blood that covered his body.

When he left the water's grasp he collapsed onto the ground once again, glad that he didn't look as awful as he had. Wounds still showed violent red against his pelt but there was nothing he could do about that.

Oh he knew his mother was going to make a fuss.

Mrost generally knew where to find Hakan when he had to. He was no seer but he could sense his nearest aquaintences in his thoughts easily enough, able to find them when he felt so inclined. Today was one of those days when the blue god had woken up with intent to find something to do. Perhaps years ago he'd have been content to just while the day away but these days he felt there was less time for dawdling, things had to be set in motion and nothing would get done if he idled.

As it was, he arrived at the oasis just as Hakan left the water, this close Mrost could smell the blood on the ground and the scent on the air. It reminded him of the old days but at the same time set some inner part of him on edge, not all of his associations of the battlefield were good ones, he didn't want to lose Hakan for any reason, the adolecent was much too important to him.

Not hesitating, Mrost made himself know, strolling into veiw alongside the waterhole, one eyebrow raised at Hakan, a faint smirk on his face as he asked. "Get yourself into trouble?" He could care less if Hakan fought with other lions, hyenas, anything, all that mattered was that he came out alive and this time, despite the rawness of the wounds, the other lion did seem very much alive.

He sat down, curling his bladed tail at his paws.

Hakan's blue eyes snapped over to absorb in the form of the War God and in an instant he was getting to his feet to stand to attention. The action strained some of the wounds but not to the extent where he would be forced to relax his posture.

Instead he flicked the mane from his eyes, set his jaw and waited whilst Mrost settled himself before speaking.

"Trouble is one word for it Master. The ways of females are just beginning to dawn on me." He gave a small bow of his head as he spoke the title both for respect and to hide the small smile on his face. His tail fell to rest upon the ground as he spoke again, "it is good to see you again. I have much news for you."

At this he let his muscles relax and moved to sit down opposite the God, letting his eyes dwindle upon the masked blue face. He did not wait long before beginning his report.

"I have some information that may or may not sit well with you, but as I traveled these lands I came across a cub who grabbed my interest. Her name was Vitashki, she claimed to know you Master." He paused here before continuing. "She lives in the Pridelands but it seems she has an ambition to join you. I see promise in her if she is trained early on and if she truly is of your blood than I suspsect she would be quite valuable. I say 'of your blood' because not only did she know you, but she also looked like you. The resemblance was unmistakeable."

He paused there to let the information sink in.

Mrost listened to Hakan's words with a wry smile, how ironic that one of his followers should only just begin to dabble in the ways of females around the same time he himself found himself once again caught up in their grace. Sometimes he wondered if some higher force found it funny the way things mirrored others. He smirked "Watch yourself in that path, females have felled armies with their whiles. Love makes fools of men." But it was pretty evident that this was one subject Mrost could care less on, he trusted Hakan to keep his priorities straight when push came to shove.

However, at Hakan's report, Mrost could only blink incredulously, a lion that looked like him!? Surely it wasn't another child he was unaware of? No, Hakan said she was a cub, much too young, Mrost hadn't been even capable of fathering such a thing lately. That left two possibilities, either it was coincidence which was doubtful based on Hakan's comments the other was that the heinous spawn had bred with some unfortunate female, spreading his blood even more thinly among the mortals as though it were worthless. He narrowed his eyes and snarled, not at Hakan but at the son who continued to dishonour him.

"She wishes to follow me?" he snapped "Very well then, I will pay her a visit in the future and make her an offer she cannot refuse."

He would catch Na-Be, even if it meant using others against him.

"Very well Master. I am sure she will do you justice, she seems eager to please you. Apparently your reputation is spreading." Hakan grinned, the expression obviously pleased that his Maser was beginning to make an impact on the world.

"Is it now time for us to visit the lands of this...Nyek?" He flexed his claws and shook the mane from his eyes. "I am quite eager to see the lions who are being trained for you, I expect they shall be quite an army when they are fully prepared."

It was only after he'd asked this question that he reverted back to the topic of girls. Flicking his tail tip slowly. "I can imagine that females would be quite an irritant at battle but I have no wish to let any make a fool of me, do not worry about that."

Mrost nodded however there was something steely of his gaze, this cub, Vitashki would know none of the favour and care he bestowed upon his chosen, she would know only the punishment of daring to possess his blood, blood he had not intentionally given but would all too readily spill. "She should fall into line with ease then." he stated simply. His grin however at the word of his reputation spreading was genuine. Wherever lions mentioned his name he drew strength, strength that would someday soon give him the means to lift the seal upon him and truly live again. It would make no difference to his powers but he would no longer be hindered in cetain ways he had been.

"If you wish we can visit the oasis of the Mtamani. Nyek is good at breaking spirits but his social skills often offend, pay it no heed, you are under my jurisdiction and he respects that. But yes, one day I hope the armny forged there will stir up havoc in these dreary lands."

He said nothing more on the subject of females, simply gave Hakan another fleeting smirk. "I know you will not. War always comes first."

He gave a nod, seemingly unaware of what Mrost was doing, or going to do. The God was probably better off not telling him just yet. Hakan was all for family and one could never be quite sure how he might react to Mrost's intentions towards his granddaughter.

Oblivious to any deeper plots going on within the mind of his God, Hakan turned his attention to the other part of their conversation: Visiting this Nyek. "He sounds like quite a lion." Though the tone didn't sound impressed as the words implied. In fact, ever since Hakan had ehard about this other follower of Mrost he had become jealous and had thought about nothing else than proving himself in front of this other, showing him up perhaps.

A shame that his body was covered with wounds and that he couldn't show off his strength as much as he had wanted.

"I hope I am around to see the day when these disgusting lands are filled with the sounds of battle cries and yowls of pain." His ears flicked, "I am ready to go when you are Master. My family pay less heed to my wherabouts now I am older and my trusted friend has been informed of my dissapearance beforehand." He winced slightly at thinking of Kizuka but pushed the thought away.

The blue god smirked "He is quite the lion, though albeit a trifle too carnal in his dealings with others." he gave Hakan a slit-eyed sidelong glance and a conspirational smile "And he would never outrank themost loyal high priest of War."

With that he got to his paws, sweeping around to face Hakan again in his usual over-grandiose manner. He was actually looking forward to introducing the other lion to yet another warlike pride, far away from the pridelands and family ties. It must be a pain, he thought, having to declare your every abscence and journey, he'd always done what he liked, when he liked, irrespective of whether that hurt or bothered others.

"I look forward to that day as well." he stated simply, completely unable to articulate how much he longed for a proper fight with a dangerous opponent. He could practically taste the bloodlust these days and it went totally unattended in favour of the neccesities of politics. When the day eventually came, maybe then he'd feel truly alive.

Stretching, he shook his mane, making his helmet clank loudly against his horns before heading off at a trot in the direction of the Mtamani. "Best get moving then, it's quite a ways away and I can't fly all the way there." Technically he could fly there easily but not with another passenger sharing his flight.

The large adolescent lunged to his feet, his dark bulk moving swiftly to catch up with the God. He was strong enough now to ignroe most of the wounds that marred his body and luckily enough the worst ones were on his back and chest rather than his legs.

This meant that walking was uncomfortable, not impossible.

He held his head high as he walked alongside the God, proud to be walking in War's shadow. It brought such joy to his heart to think that he of all the lions had been chosen as Mrost's High Priest.

"I am honoured to be placed in such a position, Master." He spoke, "and gladder still to have your trust. I will never let you down." This was something he always said to the God, because he felt like he had to give him reassurance of his loyalty. It was not something to be taken lightly that was for sure.

"It's good to be getting out again and away from the Pridelands, lately that place has become more of a burden to me than usual. A friend I thought trustworthy turned on me because I chose War over her. She always told me she understood this but apparently second place wasn't good enough for her after all." He frowned, thinking of Kizuka.

Why did she treat him so badly? He had only loved her and this is how she had shown her affection in return? Well he was better off without her in that case.

Mrost was a petty individual, one who drew strength from the loyalty of those he held close. It was for that reason that Hakan's constant affirmations of his loyalty were always well received, the more he heard it, the more Mrost came to believe it was true. He didn't comment on this however, merely gave the most imperceptible glad swish of his tail.

His unnaturally blue gaze was on the horizon as they walked but an ear was turned towards Hakan, he was listening.

At his mention of another who was angry at him for choosing War over them, he simply smiled to himself, he had an idea why someone who cared about Hakan wouldn't want him to walk the road he did, war led only to death in the end, with each victory simply serving as the drug that drew you in tighter. He wondered if this friend had known this fact or if their anger was simply directed in a possessive manner, because /anything/ came above them in his priorities.

He snorted derisively "A friend would understand what is most important to you regardless of it's nature. She clearly didn't know you as well as she thought she did. Perhaps that was one of the reasons for her anger?" he rarely got involved in social situations if he could help it, only ever able to relax around those he fully trusted, only two lions in the whole world so far. It tended to be easier to manage that way.

Hakan listened to Mrost's advise as a son would listen to his father. He looked ahead but his ears were turned in the God's direction so that he could hear him speak above the thunder of their paws against the ground.

Hakan more than anyone could appreciate his recent growth and knew he would only continue to grow until he became a fully fledged adult. He shook his growing mane and nodded slowly.

"She couldn't have known me at all." He seemed quite sad about this. "She was my only friend during my early days, I grew up with her around. I protected and defended her, I called her a companion and I helped bring her round from insanity when she was all but ready to kill herself." He growled low in his throat. "I all but saved her life and this is how she repays me? With anger and tears?"

He shook his head. "She said she loved me, that she never wanted to leave me side...I thought I loved her too but...but when I told her I would be leaving for a few days to fulfill my duties she said I'd broken my promises, she ran away."

Not even Hakan himself could truly understand the pain that had brought him. "I don't understand females one little bit. I did nothing but care for her and she threw it back in my face. I would kill her myself if I were to meet her again for trying to sway me from my path."

He had found another female anyway. Beautiful, warrioress Mbaya...

But was it the same?

Mrost frowned, he couldn't comprehend the workings of mortals, why someone who had seemed like a friend wouldn't be able to understand his commitments. He would never admit never fully understanding these things though and instead stated simply. "You would not be in the wrong if you opted to, females can strengthen resolve but at the same time can prove the temptation that leads a lion to his grave." he smirked "I had many female soldiers who served under me capable of demonstrating that capability first hand, black widows with more cunning than most."

He flicked his tail and stated casually "I personally don't get involved romantically with anyone with the slightest leanings towards war or battle, when you know the element, you know what the females are like." Hakan was probably the only mortal he'd ever be so frank with. "White magic to be precise." he stated with a smirk and a brief glance at the enchanted pendant he wore around his neck, a portable heal for any one-time serious injuries he might sustain.
