Our band competed in BOA's 3 years ago and did horribly. They didn't even announce our score or placement. xd
We improved much more since then however. I hail from the red land marching patriots. smile

BOA is a fantastic organization constructed for marching band to compete.
It is touch scoring, and it's hard to even make the top 25.
We went to our first two BOA contests this past year.
At the first one, out of 68 bands, we made 28th.
Then, we went to a Super Regional in San Antonio, Texas, where we placed 31 out of about 90.
So, I guess we did good. That was our transitioning year. This year, we are coming back with a bang,

We compete in BOA, with Grand Nats marking the end of the season. Centerville Jazz Band's the name.
Up until Atlanta this year, we were on a 4 year winning streak at every regional. Thank god we finally got put in our place, because real competition=good. Not winning first place and all the captions every freaking time.
At Grand Nats we placed 13th, and we're usually in the top 20.

Yeah, we competed in BOA September 29th I think this year, in Youngstown, Ohio. We drove 8 hours from Jersey. We placed 4th out of 28 bands. First in our category (AAA Regional Champs.). All captions. We made finals, but the weather was so horrible it was cancelled. It was a lightening storm, no rain, just lightening. I think an earlier band got stuck by lightening. No lie. o.o; Only a month and a half into our season. Ho'damn, we're good. xD The 3 bands we lost too were in season for over 2 months. Butyeah. My first year in the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Marching Band. A-mazing.

My band isn't part of BOA, we just compete against alot of BOA bands. They always go to the USSBA competitions, for some reason. >.< But we still do pretty well. We're part of the USSBA.
