Imhotep had been sitting on his bed for the past half hour now thinking over what had happened since he first arrived here, started his new life and everything else. He had cried once or twice but forced himself to stop as he had to carry on packing, however after finding something a friend and fellow flatmate gave him he sort of stopped.

He had crawled on to his bed and looked over the dagger and sighed, wipping his eyes to get rid of any left over moisture, wondering what his life will be like without the others. He knew he had to move out, he promised his mate he would move in with him but still this place and the people within it had become a home and family to him.

He hugged his knees and held his dagger in one hand, starting to cry again and silently hating himself for being such an emotional wreck. Muraki said he could come back any time he wanted, he could use all the facilities and everything that was in the guest house.

But even though he knew this it was just so hard to move when this place had become the home he and Aariel never had since their mother died. It was hard to move out of a place where one was finally home and waspleased to call it home.

Imhotep picked up the dagger, ignoring the silent tears that fell and looked it over, his first birthday gift in this house, given to him by Kuri and Ward. He looked away from the dagger and around the room, remembering he had alot of packing left to do and at this rate he wouldnt get out of the house at all today the way he was going.

Imhotep wipped his eyes and softly sighed as he placed the sheathed egyptain dagger into some tissue paper and wraped it up before placing it in bubble wrap and placing it into a box. He grabed a few more fragile things, placed them in tissue paper then in bubble wrap and placed them into a box also.

He never really realised how many egyptian artifacts he and his brother actually took from the old place untill he had started to pack everything up again. He was pleased that they did as they were their mothers property, dispite wether she originally took them or not, but still it was alot of old pots and statues and the like that were awfully fragile.

He shook his head to clear it a little as he carried on packing up the artifacts, making sure they were safe and sound before he started on other things.

At the Apartments, Ari was pacing the living room, fretting. He had cleaned everything up - twice - and made room for Imhotep's stuff, but it didn't seem like enough.

Especially because he knew that Imhotep wasn't 100% happy about the move. Not that the kitten expected him to be, having to move away from his family, but it made Ari feel guilty. >< Was he demanding way too much? He should have just bit the bullet and moved in with Imhotep, but...Cedric was the first family he'd had in so very long. He loved his adoptive 'brother', loved his 'nephews'...to leave them, to have all those new people to meet...it scared him.

...He hoped this wasn't a mistake.

Imhotep thought over the situation while he packed, the situation that had come up between himself and his mate about moving in together. Would it have been selfish of him if he asked Ari to leave his 'brother', his family and his friends at the appartments? Granted he knew that Ari didnt havemany friends there.

The woman who owned it seemed to have a love for inviting into the apartments unlawful, harsh and even murderous characters. Though there were a couple of nice ones, beside his mate, he knew that the majority of them had bad pasts.

And with those pasts who says they wouldnt repeat what they did? Imhotep shook his head to clear it a little, Ari was happy at the apartments dispite those others. He couldnt have him move, he would feel mean taking Ari away from his family, sure he had his family here and yet in a way they wernt family, notlike Ari and Cedric anyway.

He was making the right chose, he knew that, though still apart of him did wish he wasnt moving in, Ari was moving in here instead, but that is just because of a certain cat he wished never arrived here. Tobias, a cat he wished would leave Ari in peace, he knew Ari wouldnt return to him and knew Ari was his forever more as they had discussed this.

But would it be wrong to feel that he still felt threatned? He knew what Ari spoke that day in the store was the truth but he couldnt help but still feel a little afraid that Ari would leave him if the 'price' was right. It was wrong to think Ari as cruel hearted like that, he knew his mate was nothing of the sort, it was just that cat made him uneasy and he didnt like it, especially not when his mate could get hurt by him also.

The little kitten continued to fret on his own, not being able to settle down. Was Imhotep going to be miserable here? Biting his lip, hard, Ari finally perched on the edge of the couch, head in his hands and ears pulled tight to his head.

Ah, Tobias. He'd actually been bothered less by the cat in recent days - perhaps his ex had found someone to distract him for the moment - but...he still saw the smirking cat around every once in a while.

Distracted by a knock on the door, Ari jumped up, eyes wide. Imhotep, it must be Im...ho...

Speak of the Devil. Tensing up, Ari reflexivly closed the door a bit. "Tobias." He bit out.

"Ari." The cat purred, peering past him. "Wow. Expecting someone?"

Imhotep sighed and shook his head, deciding he wouldnt worry about such matters right now. He quickly wrapped and packed several other thingsto full the box up before closing it and sellotaping it up and placed the box by the door, next to a bag he packed earlier.

Imhotep pulled out some more of his clothes, another bag and started folding them and putting them in the bag as he softly sighed, deciding to see what the kitten was doing. He walked over and picked up the phone, making sure noone was on it and then dialed his mates home number, wanting to speak to him more then ever right now.

He decided to see if Ari could come around, he wanted to have some company while he packed and so he thought he would ask his mate to come around. All Imhotep hoped was that Ari wasnt busy and hoped he wouldnt mind comming around to sit with him while he packed, wanting to just have his mate close to him right now to make packing just a little more bearable in one way.

And the phone saved him. "E-excuse m-me." Ari turned sharply and closed the door, walking over and picking it up. "H-h-hello?" His voice still carried a bit of agitation from talking to Tobias.

Imhotep softly smiled to himself "hey Ari" he said into the phone, alot happier then he felt right now, hoping he wasnt sounding TOO happy. "How are you sweetie?" He asked as he sat down on his bed, making himself comfortable, pleased to hear his mates voice.

"Imhotep." The agitation melted right out of him, the word almost a sigh. Ari rested against the counter, smiling even though his mate couldn't see it. "I'm a-alright. A l-little n-n-nervous, t-though." The kitten admitted. "A-and...y-you?"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 24, 2006 11:18 am

"Im pleased to hear you are alright sweetheart, though im sure the nervousness will go once I arrive at the apartments" he said to his mate, trying to ressasure him. "I am fine, finding it a little hard to pack due to whats been going through my mind, all the stuff thats happened since I arrived here, but im good other then that."

He said to his mate, moving a lose strand of hair from his face "it was why I was calling you actually, I was wondering if you could come around, maybe keep me company while I pack?" He asked his mate "that is if you arnt busy or anything. I just want company right now as I pack and hoped you could be said company" he said to his mate, wanting also just to hold him for a little bit also.

Ari continued to smile. "I'd l-love t-to." It wasn't like he could straighten the apartment a 3rd time, after all.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 24, 2006 11:59 am

Imhotep smiled a little moreto himself "great" he said happily "would you care for me to come pick you up? I could do with getting out of the house for some fresh air." He said in all honesty, he had been cooped up in his room for half the day so spending half an hour or so outside on a beautiful day like today would do him good.

Perhaps even stop off and get lunch with him somewhere nice would be good also. Imhotep knew he had to get back to packing but whats a couple of hours spending qulity time with his mate going to do to him? He had packed half his stuff up so the rest can wait till the mid afternoon.

"Also I was wondering if you wanted to go out to lunch with me? My shout. I know I have packing to do but im starving and I could use a bite to eat" he said to his mate, hoping he wouldnt object.

"T-that sounds wonderful, I-imhotep." Ari half-purred, the brief incident with Tobias forgotten now. "And y-yes." He didn't have a car of his own - none of the Anthros at the apartments did, as many of them didn't work at all, and Audi couldn't afford to shell out the money to buy cars.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 24, 2006 2:15 pm

Imhotep was pleased his mate didnt object, he decided he would use his car to pick his mate up, a gift from his brother for some reason Aariel never said. Imhotep remembered that he would have to get that reason out of his brother later, for now, however, he had a date with his mate to get to.

"I will pick you up in my car then Ari, we can decide where to go once I pick you up, how does that sound?" He asked his mate, wondering where they COULD go as he wasnt exactly familure with alot of cafes and the like. Sure he knew a handful, maybe less, and one of them was his favorite but he would talk it over with Ari, he didnt wish to go somewhere Ari might not wish to go.

"S-sounds wonderful." Ari assured him, settling on the arm of his couch, picking at the fabric. He wasn't a picky eater at all, and if it was Imhotep taking him out o_o then...he'd go just about anywhere.
