Nicholas at 50%-Ref1-Ref2
------------------------
“Phew, there finished” he sighed, and tossed the last of the firewood he’d collected onto the bonfire and wiped his brow. He sat back down and dusted the sand out his hair and fur, and glanced around quickly, making sure he hadn’t forgotten anything for the party.
He been preparing for this for the better part of the day (Those being the parts where he manged to stay awake). He spent much to the day digging the sand with his hands, making small mounds of sand which he’d made to resemble couches. He’d brought the stereo from his duplex, and a large stack of CD’s he’d ”Liberated” from the Rec Room, behind it lay his Saxophone case, he was quite optimistic he’d play later. Next to that was a cooler full of drinks, taken from the bar (Soft drinks mainly, Nicholas wanted to avoid dealing with anyone who got drunk).
Hopefully the poster he’d left outside the cafeteria featuring a Moreau shaped Piñata had caught peoples attention. He lay down in the warm sand along side one of the makeshift couches, and watched the embers from the fire drift up into the now darkening sky, and waited for the sound of footsteps.

Tristan headed for the beach, somewhat lost but happy to just wander his way there as he had yet to see that part of the island. Having seen the signs for the party earlier that day, he had decided it was about time to find out where exactly the beach was and so had set out to find it, along with Nick's party. Eventually sighting Nick amoung what looked to be sand couches, he hurried along to see if he might be able to sneek up and catch the cat-boy off guard.

He continued to stare up at the now twilight in the sky, falling into deep though, usually when he got like this it was very hard for him to notice practically anything not direct aimed at him. “Wait a sec…you don’t hear foot steps on sand, do you?” his mind thought, perhaps lying down wasn’t the best choice. Though, at least he wasn’t going to dose off tonight, he always felt much more energetic during twilight and the evening.

Sneaking up right behind Nick, Tristan proceded to do his best to give Nick the shock of his life. "BOOO!!!" he shouted right next to Nick's ear, coupled with a light jab to the shoulder. Watching the reaction, Tristan backed off a bit and simply grined at him.
"I see I'm the first one here" Declared Tristan once he had the other's attention. "So, hows it going? Expecting many people to come?" he went on as he settled into one of the sand-couches

“AAAHHHH!” he jumped as quickly as his reactions allowed him. “Oh,…it’s…it’s you” he barely managed to say while catching his breath, as he held his had to his chest to feel his own now racing heartbeat. “What that really necessary?” he mutter as his stroking the ear Tristan had yelled in.
He walked back toward Tristan and perched himself at his feet. “I’m hoping people come, I haven’t exactly been the nicest person around after all” he said, glancing over at the stereo and cooler and scratching the back of his head.

"Of course it was, gotta keep you on your toes!" He said, chuckling. "Plus, whats a party without a bit of mischief? I'm sure people will come, just have to be patient. Plus, who can resist a party in a place like this?" Tristan went on, his grin gaining a rather unnerving quality "plus, I brought some fireworks with me! I've really been hoping for a chance to try them out" patting the courrier bag he brought with him.

“F-fire works!?” he stumbled back slight at the thought that Tristan had somehow brought fireworks to the Island with him. He considered asking him why he even had them to being with, but perhaps he was best off not knowing. “So, what kinds did ya bring ?” he said, smiling back as he climbed onto to Sand-couch and started trying the pry the bag out of Tristan’s hands to view it’s contents. “You don’t you just set one off? That’ll get peoples attention!”

Grinning with mischief in his eyes, Tristan replied "Yup, fireworks. Though, they're nothing you would've been able to find in stores" as he pulled out one of the stout, odd looking, unmarked cardboard and plastic rockets. "This one should do the job!"
Dashing a little ways off, he set up what looked to be a shallow pit to launch the rocket from, strung out the long fuse and lit it. Then started running back towards Nick in a way that almost looked like he was running for dear life.

He sat up, hoping to get a better position to view the firework. Perhaps Nicholas was getting a bit to excited as he watched Tristan set up the firework. But as he watched him sprint back, he realized how the fireworks looked homemade. “Those are safe right!?” He said as Tristan got back to the bonfire. “I mean it won’t, you know, blow up right there, or come back down?”. Some of the most horrible scenarios started running through his mind.

Finally reaching the sand-couches, tristan took cover behind them before replying to Nick. "of course its safe.....as long as you arent within 5 meters of the rocket when it takes off. Its not as if the whole thing will blow up right there, but it will be pretty spectacular about 2 seconds after it fires off!" Just then there was a flash followed by a loud BANG! as the rocket shot off followed by a brilliant flare leaving a trail of colourful glitter as the rocket detonated.

“Conio!” He hadn’t expected he firework to be so loud. Nicholas automatically flinched and shielded himself with his arms as if he was about to be hit by a giant invisible train.
After a few seconds of cowering in his seat looking like an idiot, he opened his eyes and reluctantly looked around, noticing a distinct lack of things on fire. He looked up into the sky, seeing the last few fading sparkles from the rocket.
“You should have warned me iba aser tan ruidoso!” he sounded very irritated that he’d just made himself look so stupid.
(In case your wondering, since I changed Nicholas nationality, he now has a tendency to speak both English and Spanish when get gets stressed or pissed off, conio of course being a very colourful swear word) :3

"You missed the best part!" uttered Tristan in a slightly miffed tone. "It really wasnt that big, its not like it left an actually large crater" as he pointed to the slightly melted patch of sand where the rocket had been launched from.
"Still, I think it should do the trick for getting people's attention.....Heck, perhaps we'll even get 'ze gud doktor' down here!" declaring his nickname for Dr.Moreau with a humorous accent

He forced himself at the mention of another, even louder firework. He shuddered to think how much bigger this one would be after looking at the crater the first one had left.. It really wasn’t had he hadn’t planned, he’d intended for it to be a reasonably quite get together.
“If your gonna let another go off, let me prepare for it” he then attempted to plug his ears in vain with his fingers.

"Oh! they're not all quite that loud, I just thought that one would be more of an attention grabber than some of the others" Laughing he continued "perhaps you should get some earplugs for those ears!"

“Agrh, I’m never going to be able to plug them up” he sighed as he tried flatting his ears, only to have them spring back up.
“Hmmm, I wonder” he grabbed a handful of sand and poured into one of his ears. He giggled childishly as he pour sand into his other ear. He looked up at Tristan with a huge grin on his face, thinking how idiotic must look right now covered in sand, but despite how stupid it was, it surprisingly worked.
