My marching band is very tight-knit. We have capture the flag games after practice at our houses, we go out to eat together before a home football game, and we go over each other's houses all the time. No other sport or club at my school is like this.
Soooo, the spoon-feeding:

Since my band is so big, its more the sections that are so tight together. We have section parties and such before games.

Out band has nearly 300 people. Maybe a little bit more this year, since last year there were 292.
As such, we can't all join together. The woodwinds are closer together, and the brass, and the percussion...you get it. However, with a clarinet section 52 people big, we can't really mingle easily neither...
I'd say we're pretty close for a band our size. C:

Yeah, I'd say my band is pretty close. I mean, I know everyone by name and their gneral personality, which will happen with a ~60 member band (winds+percussion+guard). We have cliques, just liek any other band, but I don't think they're that bad. In fact, my freshman year the whole band, basically, ate in the same area of the school for lunch. It was amazing. lol And we wonder why people say Band is a Cult. lol

My band is pretty split. There are some people who are so close and then there are the few who I can't wait to see graduate. It is pretty much a love hate relationship

My band is basically a familly...a big family...we have about 90 total...from about 64....and an army of clarinets!!!!!(about 20)I know everbody by name and we all like eachiother...but the freshman this year are being really quiet!! its strange!!!

our band is a family. we have lazer tag outings, we had a picnic yesterday, we play softball every sunday, etc etc. almost all of my friends except one or two are in band, and i'm pretty close to a lot of people in it. it's nice. 3nodding

Heh, having a big band/section is no excuse. There's about 50 or so of us saxes (Altos and Tenors) and we're still like one big obnoxious family. And almost all 300+ in my band are pretty close as well.

Well, for drumline, before a football game, we go to Taco Bell and eat. And also on tuesdays, before our big practice. It's called Taco Tuesdays. Imagine that..

our band is really small, so we're all pretty close. after the football games, we all go to some restaurant in town and eat together 3nodding

hey yea our band is kinda tight, but sections are rediculously tight. Not only do we spend time together; there is even relationships in the sections.

The band room is our 2nd home since we are there so much. My band is very close and we fight like family sometimes but we always work it out. ^_^
